Kali-Basic work

Kali, Willow Grove Kountess de Grignan, is an 8-year-old Hackney Horse x sport pony crossbred and trained here at Willow Grove. She splits her time between undersaddle work and carriage driving. All of my horses that drive also work under saddle for more complex and nuanced communication to add strength, mobility, straightness, flexibility, and balance.
Kali had just participated in a carriage driving event just days before so this was her first ride in a while. Nothing was perfect but a lot was quite good and that's all I can ask. Like I said in the video, when I've been primarily driving her, I'm rusty riding her so I can't expect her to offer more than I can clearly ask for.
These are the basic things I want every horse to have in their program regardless of their "day job." Kali not only drives but has done working western events as well as some beginning jumping.
