I "tried" a moped last time I was there. Lets just say it didn't work out so well, and I ended up renting a smart car instead. And yes, that beach with the, I referred to to it as "steps of hell" because of how many stairs I had to go up and down, great views, but horrible for my hips and knees lol
Me too . I love it. I'd much rather live here than Florida or California and they get all the hype. But I don't see what's so great about it other than the beautiful coastlines and water in CA and FL. But we have beautiful coast even though it's small and beautiful water and we got seasons. I love the seasons. Rhode Island in the fall is so beautiful. ❤ If I were to pick my second and third favorite states it would be 2. New Hampshire and 3. Maine. 😊
We r doing a family vacation 2 the lower new england states next year. We r thinking of doing a half a day on block island. I have a question 4 u. We will have my 74 year old mom with us. She does well with walking but not steps. All the beach, lighthouse, trails & views that u have mentioned r they any that u can recommend that doesn't have the steps

Mopeds are fun to ride around on the island but you do have to be careful! Oh yeah, it has a lot of stairs! It's a workout within itself....
For kayaks I recommend Cory next to BIMI instead of the one near The donut shop.
And I forgot to mention that BIMI is a great place for the kids to learn about maritime life.

Yes and no, it’s always beautiful during different times of year however, it’s very quiet and a lot of places close after September.

Yes the traditional ferry does however, you’ll want to call and book in advance. Let us know if you need help with anything else 😃
Are you able to rent golf carts on block island?
Hey Josh! No, you can rent small cars, mopeds and bikes. The island is fairly hilly so I don’t recommend bikes unless you want a great workout 🏋️♀️
