"if you fail, learn from it, and if you fall, get back up and if it seems impossible, keep going" thank you for this inspiration
“I went to an event for high-performing entrepreneurs and the question was asked of the room, ‘How many of you have achieved your financial goals?’ Amazingly, 80 percent of the room raised their hand. Then the question was asked, ‘How many of you feel successful?’ and 80 percent of the hands went down. This example alone shows that there is little to no connection between the standard measurement of success and the feeling of success.”
I’ve travelled the world, made films with different celebrities in it, and I’ve obtained a six figure salary, but none of that helped me feel successful until I started digging deeper and learning what really made me feel the most fulfilled.
I thought having more money, becoming more well-known, and having more accomplishments would make me feel successful, but it didn’t. I just ended up in a vicious cycle where I was constantly on a chase for the next big thing.
The big problem is that we inaccurately chase after the things we are told that will make us feel successful.
while growing up no one told me investment is key to a successful life.
Good talk DAV_B.... We never had the opportunity to invest or know what investment was, things are more easier now than before. To be successful in life you don't have to depend on one source of income, show me a man with one source of income or don't have an ongoing investment and i will tell you how long it takes to go bankrupt.
I started investing with Shermwilli trade few months ago and have made so much profits and still making more and more every month.

Are you someone who reads as much as possible about potential investments and asks questions about them? If so, maybe you don't need investment advice. However, if you are busy with work, children, or other responsibilities, or if you feel that you are not knowledgeable enough to invest on your own, seek professional investment advice.
Investment professionals offer a variety of services at varying prices. You can get investment advice from most financial institutions that sell investments, including brokerage firms, banks, mutual funds and insurance companies. You can also hire a broker, investment advisor, accountant, financial planner or other professional to help you make investment decisions

so true
Successful people have the most intense storys, that's crazy
Amen
Very true
Of course it all turned out fine
Successful people love a certain thing so much its everything to them. I have only a desire to know everything about a certain subject. I know everything about it. It makes me better than most and I can do this for a living. People must find something they love more than anything.
Resilience is tested endless . Ultimately destiny is in our palm if you embrace resilience . Thank you, bless you. All your dreams come true.
She’s had a tough journey, I will give her that, but she really does not tell us how resilience helped with her decision making and if that works for everyone else. This is more of a personal story sharing than lecture. TED has really become a platform of idolization
Tedx was since the beginning a place for idolization and false knowledge, it us more about self branding. Loved by HR and other mf
Although I actually agree with the message that resilience is important, but getting a loan from your grandma for 10k isn't really an option for a lot of people
You're savage
living for free aint' option for many many people lol.
word
True.....but how many could turn that $10k loan into $100M? And $250M?....With the grit and resilience this woman had, I am certain she would have succeeded eventually even without a grandmother to help her.
I hate TED Talks and avoid them like the plague, however I found this one fascinating! The Narrative kept my attention, it entertain me, and it taught me well! Thank you very much
From this speech, I understood if I fail then I am one step with experience.
yes, you learnt from your mistakes
I really loved what she said it really touched me. We fight to get to the egg of our mothers but why do most of us stop after we've won the first prize of life.
Her insights into the connection between self-deception and stress levels, as well as the impact on self-trust, are truly enlightening.
One of the few actual legit success videos on CZcams 👏🏽
Can we please get some real life stories of people still trying in their 40’s?
The Key to success is Start now.
if you dont start , it will never happen.
Success? In this chaotic world? Are you mad?
Powerful message. Thank you for resonating your passion of love, courage and strength to inspire fellow human beings.....

Thank you for this powerful message that has taught me about resilience and added one new understanding of success in my head
One of millions of standard success stories.
I have to say that she really know her speech by hart. And I think that this attitude is her true success factor. Opportunism.
Everyone!! Keep Thriving, and work to better yourself in all forms! You will succeed!
Thank you for sharing such a personal and important story as well its beautiful ending (such adorable twins!). I ran across your video unexpectedly but it was so timely that the encouragement and your advice to keep trying and not give up feels even more powerful. Thank you so much!
Brilliant. Success is a journey, not destiny. Go ahead. Live long with joy & peace. God bless you.
smart, beautiful, resilient, strong, independent, confident woman! thank you!!! God bless you!
The best and most important Tes Talk you ever can listen to.
amazing speech! I haven't cried such happy and sad tears in my life
Everybody fails somewhere along the path to success thus without it - RESILIENCE - most give up rather than trying and trying until they achieve what they had aimed for.
I am fortunate to have followed my dream since day one when I was kid & dreamed it. I am not rich. In fact, I am broke & haven't had a "regular" job or paid rent going on YEARS now. But I've managed somehow. I am a songwriter & musician. I have well over 1000 great songs (and several good ones not making the cut). The bass player/keyboard/backup singer & drummer/backup singer in my band are my two kids; young adults learning music, how to write, compose, rehearse, produce & perform music. My family thought I was a delusional dreamer...so they cut me & my kids out of MY inheritance my grandfather left me because I worked on his ranch that I helped him build when no one else understood HIS dream but me & my grandma. Instead of litigating, I walked away to continue MY dream unfettered. Life is, was & never will be about money. It's about THIS. The sooner you get to LIVING it, and give up worrying about it, the better. It's not a scheme, a plan or an education. It's learning through doing & doing it at ALL costs. I GUESS there's a benevolent God cuz he watches over us & somehow pays just enough of the bills to keep us going & working hard on it each & every single day...even through sickness, "pandemic", and the sincere efforts of others to stop & impede us. The middle finger speaks to them. My gratitude speaks to the powers that be. Our efforts & fruit of these labours speaks to the evidence of our faith. Need I say more? The songs speak for themselves.
Why are most comments so negative. She is saying that her success came through her children's resilience and the fact that they are alive today. No amount of money guaranteed that they would have lived therefore its not about wealth. Most of you dont value the important things in life.... that's sad
Secret of success- if you fail give another chance and fight again until you get success
-If you fail learn from it
-If you find a deal impossible keep going
true
Thank you for sharing this inspiring talk. It is extremely important for everyone to relearn and rethink the method to succeed especially in the era of big data and globalization, and ask ourselves: what is the Successology of the 21st century?
Awesome. We always go looking for the secret to success by figuring out how to get to that next get rich scheme. And in order to really be successful is to be great full, humble & never give up!
YESSSS!!!! Them Nicu babies are unstoppable! My daughter was 28 weeks and you would NVER KNOW! She had a lobectomy before her first birthday (a month before covid) and despite the nicu brain bleeds, the incapability to regulate her own temperature, through the surgery.. she's by FAR the toughest person I know. ♡ Nicu babies are little superheros. They're meant to be in this world ♡
Success is seldom built on success or luck. Success is built on failure. Success is built on frustration. Success is built on overcoming our fears.
Thank you for your speech. Resilience is same position with sabar in Islam.
Yesss we should keep going what ever happen in this life!
This speech touch my heart.
Love this story. Best of luck ma'am.👏
Everybody talking about how bad her speech was. But what she said about success was pure treasure, resilience was really the key to success. Even Napoleon Hill talked about it. Don't let the simplicity of her words or story keep you from learning the value of the story.
Its not just the speech that was clichē, but she claims that she failed when really she did not. There is no failure in her story, at least nothing worthy if a tedtalk.
I get that Yahoo story. I worked for Apple at 23 and was laid off twice because they kept closing down the departments. You just have to get up over and over again until it happens. Oh and I was a premie. I'm so glad they survived.
Success sometimes come at a price, some people either suffer or sacrifice to get where they want to be.
I cut my eyes on those cheekbones 😂 No offense, she's looking good.
@Jamie Cecilie Lange hi everyone ,if anyone else trying to find out mind power attraction try Tarbally Amazing Mind Tactics (just google it ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my colleague got cool results with it.
this was beautiful i'm so happy for john & elle

Everyone is responsible for their own success.

No need for akimbo.
This is very touching and inspiring too.Thank you for sharing this.this truly is the meaning of success
very touching word
It's never too late to change your current life situation.
I’ve never really cared about being successful, I have always had a great family life with my Mum and Dad and happy to be on my own now, but never bothered about success, I don’t get the attraction and deep yearning for it, where does it get you? Happiness is success.
I feel like people in the comments are really missing the point of the talk...
Thanks mam
I also must have success one day and my story have to listen everyone 💝....
How tragically familiar is success - performed voraciously upon the stage of serendipity by those too vacant to have ever learned their lines.
Be Successful
How am I supposed to learn from this Ted talk? It epitomizes rich people's problems. While the story was heartfelt and personally revealing, I am not understanding what tools I'm supposed to utilize from this, which is what I thought these presentations were supposed to relay. Sadly, the moral of this story is when you're rich and can't have children, pay and pay again and one day it'll pay off.
But how many could turn that $10k loan into $100M? And $250M?....With the grit and resilience this woman had, I am certain she would have succeeded eventually even without a grandmother to help her.
I’m so glad more people are becoming aware of the aspect of their overall health. Something that worked for me and helped me to improve my mental and physical well-being was Forwago.

I was looking for this comment! Thank you

Wow!
it takes one idea that can make success if its not stolen
Hmm, powerful thanks
if success was easy, everything would be available to everyone ! Food ; money ; honeys ...
If you achieve something not big enough ... try again, your dreams are too small.
By the way the 4 x R are indeed important !
So where was the secret to success? A lot of Ted talks should be rebranded as "all about me me me and what I've done" Looking for life advice and receive life story?
Resilience is so last year, today it's all about being Antifragile!
❤❤❤ it's a beautiful
In a man's youth, no matter how much physical and mental strength he possesses, and no matter what success and accomplishments he achieves, when his life is finally over, it will have been for nothing, just chasing the wind.
So how's her sister doing?
Yep, that’s funny!
I really feel this talk is useless. We are all having the same stories in our lives. So I guess we're are all successes if we tell our stories. Though I am happy for her that the twins survived the ordeal.
It's only useless if you choose to see it that way. There are countless success stories all different all with different obstacles and challenges which the people telling them went through. Anyone can always look at the advantages the speaker had which they themselves didn't and complain.
Resilience
How to get successful if you have limited resources and fewer opportunities.
❤❤
The Forwago personalized program helped me get rid of my anxiety and depression. Just wanted to share it with you guys, even if one person gets better I'm happy.
Sure, many benefit from it
mr top 5
I know success is not about a bunch of people controlling what you do and bothering you!!! For some reason people tried to convince me it was.

1. Learn from your mistakes
Really Ted? This? Probably the worst speech I saw about success. Get up? Really thats your motivation pitch? Lol
stopped watching when she was praising herself for being resilient. Her grandma actually gave her the cash. That's not resilience. That's privilege.
Thank youuu
Using the position someone else was born into and which they can’t control is a bad reason not to listen to good advice. There’s successful people that come from all backgrounds and social status’. The only thing that statistically separates the successful from the unsuccessful is their level of reslilience and ability not to make excuses for themselves. Food for thought
👏👏👏👏👏👏
She hustled her 80-year-old Grandma.
True.....but how many could turn that $10k loan into $100M? And $250M?....With the grit and resilience this woman had, I am certain she would have succeeded eventually even without a grandmother to help her.
What a waste of 13.5 minutes! What have we learned? Please keep your "pearls" for your inner circle, which are all the mirrors in your home
