    This one (puffed rice cake) was a little bit burnt, he kept it too long.

    I've been watching quite a few popcorn vids from various countries. This is the first one I've seen where people are not laying on their car horns. Korean traffic must be very pleasant

      it's like a pressure cooker, I can't imagine anything dangerous surviving inside it. However the net they catch it in is probably pretty gross...

      You need oil for the fire and pot and i think because of the pressure rice puffs up bigger in this than if just heated in a pot

    Nice, we also got this in Tâioân/Formosa, the techanic was invented in America(with rice, corn popcorn was invented thousands of years ago before hiztory) then Japan spread it to EAST ASIA, Chinese talking BS that it origin in CHINA with bamboo tube, there is no way to make it with that.

      미국에서 1901년에 발명되었고 일본에 수입되었는데 정작 흥한건 조선이였습니다. 한국전쟁 이전부터 뻥튀기 장사는 있었어요.

      It's not Korean or Chinese. The origin of this machine is actually US believe it or not. Japan took that and miniaturized it, which was then brought into Korea and spread to China and other countries. They did a documentary in Korea tracing the history of this grain popper machine. The oldest one was made in the US in 1901 and was introduced at World's fair at 1904.
      But now it belongs to various cultures as a nostalgic piece of their past.

      Yes, since corn (as well as Tomato, Potato, Chili peppers and chocolate) and pop-corn initially came from the Americas before it was introduced to Europe and Asia
