- Thanks for checking out Part 1 of this project. My goal is to get this old Waverunner cleaned up and started for the first time in years. I like old carburated 2 stroke skis and grew up riding one like this so when it popped up on FB marketplace for free I figured I'd try to rescue it. Let's see how well it cleans up and if it will start.

I just picked up a 97 1100 like that in my old Toyota pickup! Only paid 450 bucks! Love the video!
@21:50 Nooo Leave the graphics! That and the 90's colors are what makes these old skis so cool :) Awesome that it fired up so easily - good find!
The old nineties funky stuff is definitely cool and I have not found anything to modern for it that I like so it will most likely be redone with original graphics and yes I was shocked on how easily it fired over. Carbs were full of trash and new parts on the way........
Thank you so much for sharing .....i have two that look similar....to yours.... I will definitely try doing to see if they turn on
I picked up a locked up 2000 seadoo gts with the trailer for free, sat outside uncovered for 18 years got the motor out now, piston split in half and crank locked.
Free is the best haha but there's always a ton of work and $$ needed. Sounds like a good project. Even if you buy a replacement engine they are still pretty cheap and the 717 engine is engine is very reliable. This Yamaha is water ready and another video will be coming as soon as the trailer is road ready
@@allforwheelsgarage heck yeah
I had a blue toyota around the same year
They are great trucks that can last forever
The gas most likely evaporated from sitting are my thoughts
Good possibility
Does waveventure have crankcase oil. How do you check it.?? 😮
It has an oil tank that supplies an oil injection pump on the front of the engine. The oil injection pump feeds oil to each cylinder at the top of the carburetor feeding the crankcase and cylinders with the fuel/oil mixture
@@allforwheelsgarage oh I get it now! The spark ⚡️ignights the gas then alls that is left is the oil. Then it runs down to crank after gas is burned. Ingenious!!
@lodwill5116 not quite, the piston as it moves up the cylinder draws in fresh air, fuel and oil through a port in the cylinder to the crankcase. This mixture then goes through a transfer port connecting the crankcase to the top of the cylinder/piston to then be ignited. Then exit through the exhaust port
