  • Jesus' Ascension into heaven began with his ascent up the Mount of Calvary. Carrying our crosses, may we be purified and unite our suffering to those of Jesus.

The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France (SPM)”. The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The congregation also staffs rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.

This is the most challenging part of our theology for me. I understand a world of time and God outside it. But a world without time would seem be a world of spirit. A world of bodies would need a material world. Bodies are material.

What is challenging about this for you?

@@Pax_Christi_Tecum The world of time we live in-a material world-produces and sustains physical bodies. Bodies we can measure, that require a physical universe and all that comes with it: air to breathe, water to drink, ground to stand upon. Eden is not guarded by angels with flaming swords somewhere on this Earth. I accept that the essence of what I am, my soul, if it has been perfected by living a life of virtue, may exist when my physical body ceases to function. That kind of eternity--one in which each of us is like a memory in the mind of God--one that either grows to be one he wishes always to remember vs one he wishes to forget, I can understand. But a world of physical bodies living without physical food and water? Gravity's rules-which I don't imagine apply to heaven, ground under our feet, and microbes in our guts. It seems incongruous. Physical bodies need a material world. Spiritual existence would not seem to require the essentials needed for physical bodies. God to me, seems to act reasonably (not talking about Yaweh enraged in the Old Testament) he has embedded the moral law within this universe he has offered a path through it to perfect our souls to live with him forever. A physical body in heaven? It feels like something taught to people a long time ago because it was more palatable, more understandable if you simply imagined God as magic and also saw the material world infused with the immaterial world--which we know is not the case. I want to believe this truth. But it is utterly illogical. Heaven is not a physical, material place, it is a spirtual place, a place outside our material universe. But this is the teaching of the Church. And to be faithful I must profess it. And that is challenging.

Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished,....." The tribulations will outlive Peter the roman. This can be interpreted as the tribulations are also part of the present age of the world and that they continue on even if the pope gets raptured as in bodily ascend TO HEAVEN in a pretrib escape with all other christians.
So he is 266th pope. The 266th day of year is sept 23rd. Feast day of Padre Pio from The TOWN of Pietrelcina derives from Petra Pucina (which means small stone). This shows Francis is Peter the Roman. His saint is francis ,and also Padre Pio in this sign.
It takes about 38 weeks (266 days) for human babies to develop fully in the womb. An average pregnancy lasts 280 days from the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP) or 266 days after conception.’ These signs show from the first peter to the last peter has been a development of a child. Then so it’s the Church, and the church age. When it becomes born, the child will be caught up to God.
This is similar to revelation 12:5And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne. 6And the woman fled into the wilderness,….”
Perhaps the child is both JESUS AND THE CHURCH.
