I love your "what ifs" and I would love to see a custom art for these digimon and these ideas you may have! I feel like it would do justice to the digimon that don't have the best fits or were hard to work with, like Digmon and Raidramon!

Fun how the shurimon line ends up feeling like a warrior traveling around the world, picking up different fighting styles along the way. It could also more or less work with the global aspect of the... second half of 02, I believe? When they meet other degidestined around the globe.

I loved how Gargoylemon got an evolution designed for it in the Pendulum Z with Manticoremon. I hope they do more evolutions like that in the DiMs or vpets!! Especially for the regular 02 guys.

I wish Gargoylemon’s one anime appearance hadn’t made him look so off model. His design is actually sick and perfectly fits besides other holy beast champions imho. It could easily be in Azulongmon’s line also.
I love the idea that the four holy beasts can only be evolved into through impossible Digimon l like armor and devas! That’s such a fun concept.
I would definitely enjoy custom ultimates and megas for the armor Digimon, since you could do a lot of different things for them, from fusing the armors for ultimates too doubling down on the elements and crests, also I wouldn’t mind a more fitting kindness armor digivolution for Wormmon, Wormmon definitely needs more love on his own apart from Imperialdramon and the jogress digivolutions
This reminded me of some thoughts I have about the Digimon franchise. For one I wish that Palmon’s Mega was Lotusmon. I like Rosemon as the Lalamon mega and then it would be cool if Lalamon and Palmon could eventually Jogress. That also just gave me the idea that I’d like to see a WarGreymon/Shinegreymon Jogress as well as a MetalGarurumon/MirageGaogamon Jogress. I have no reason for the other two to get Jogresses but Lotusmon and Rosemon getting a Jogress like that makes me want a similar thing for the rest of the partner equivalents. Also I wish that Gatomon was powered down to Salamon in 02 so that the Armor digivolution made more sense. It works in the lore and solves one of the logistical problems with 02
Lotusmon is fairly cool. I'd definitely see her as Mimi and Palmon's "Other Mega", like how (spoilers I suppose) in the 2020 adventure series we see Tai and Agumon getting the BlitzGreymon option, or Matt and Gabumon going for CresGarurumon. Or, for that matter, how Gomamon is in some media (the Wonderswan games come to mind) given the Mega form of Plesiomon instead of Vikemon. (Honestly if you look at it, it seems more like Plesiomon is definitely Mega Gomamon, but Vikemon is most definitely the evolution of Zudomon).
to be fair wasn't Lotusmon supposed to be Lalamon's mega but the design just wasn't done on time or something?

Loved a lot of these picks, many of them felt very appropriate and made connections I never even thought about. I'd absolutely love one with original art Digimon too, I think it'd be cool to see hypothetical "intended" evolutions for these Armor Digimon.

I LOVE this concept. I’ve been planning a fanfic for like 20 years that rewrites 02 with the original Sagitarimon concept. Each new kid had to combine their crests. I’ve always wondered what the combined form of the others would be like. I’ve also longed to see this video explored too! If each armor could super evolve like normal champions can. If you made an art video of this I would die!

Now I’m imagining what if the armor evolutions DNA Digivolved with each other? With there being 9 different eggs you could have multiple combinations. Two that come to mind is taking Davis’ crests and combining them with TK and Kari. Kari’s Nefertimon fusing with Flamedramon since her brother had the courage crest, then Pegasusmon and Raidramon fusing following the same logic with TK and his brother’s crest

I’ve thought of some armor evos myself, like Harpymon -> Silphymon -> Valkyrimon and Nohemon -> Yatagaramon -> Valdurmon.
I feel like custom digimon would be something that would fit best for these lines. But you did a good job coming up with the lines using canon Digimon!

Personally I think a good ultimate for the Raidramon line would be Weatherdramon. Yes Weatherdramon is both a appmon and a Super Grade which is normally seen as a champion parallel , but it both has that lightning dragon aesthetic and it leads into Azulongmon extremely well
I know some of the rookie Digimon fit the Armors well, but I would like to see specifically designed rookies for things like allomon baromon and others that seem randomly given to Digimon
I like HeavyLeomon as a Digmon finale, IF you wanted a certain theme for all of them:
- Begin with the armor form showing off the crest's line (so bug for Digmon. I really don't see how you're not seeing all the bug there)
- End with the base rookie shining through more. In Digmon's case, see more of Armodillomon's mammal side.
- Let the similarities between Digmon's and Submarimon's megas hint at Armodillomon's "true"/traditional mega.
I would very much like to see this concept as a custom line video. I always liked the idea of the armor digivolutions refining and upgrading their armors into new forms. Why Digimon never did this I have no idea.
That was super interesting. Hoping you do more of those in the future. I also like that you gave MarineAngemon to the crest of kindness, so to Ken, thinking back to your forgotten Blast Modes video. Like MarineAngemon Blast Mode is a little devil, which could represent Ken's past as the Digimon Emperor, and he'd need to overcome this fear of becoming evil again or that his partner would become a threat lile Kimeramon. Once he succeeds, MarineAngemon finally controls its Blast Mode without turning evil.

I also think MarineAngemon would be a good setup (or payoff) to delve into the Dark Ocean more.
I could definitely see Anubismon being the Mega for Nefertimon where they first evolved during an episode involving the Dark Ocean. Probably one where Kari was about to fully succumb to its influence where Nefertimon (or Bastemon/whatever the Ultimate level ended up being if you wanted to treat Neferti as a Champion) jumps in to save her evolving in the process to defeat the Dark Ocean once and for all.
All I’m saying… is dibs on Raidramon.
And also saying. I’m imagining dub wormon’s voice coming out of Cho hakaimon’s face now. And it’s glorious.

I’ve actually wanted to see if all the digidestined from each different show had to get teleported somewhere from a new version of apocalymon and he got his revenge to make them fight. Then they would eventually work together to beat the new apocalymon! But that’s my little what if.

I think a custom art would be cool, you could possibly explore some of the other Armours as well, such as Baromon, Prairiemon, Swanmon, Toucanmon... I keep forgetting how many there actually are!! Mind you, I do also like how they pop up occassionally, as well as how prevelant they are in Frontier! There's so many there... I suddenly wonder which series features more Armours: 02 or Frontier?
Funnily enough a version of this scenario already happened in 02 lore for the armor digieggs/digimentals. In the ancient digital world it was extremely difficult and rare to to evolve past child/rookie stage so the armor digieggs were made as a workaround. This culminated into certain armor digimon becoming the digimon sovereigns like azulongmon who evolved from either raidramon or flamedramon. Most likely raidramon considering how similar azulongmons head covering looks to raidramons. Given how digimon antagonists have their pre-evos as minions usually and the devas in tamers fit that role for the sovereigns then the devas fit the role of perfect level and would probably be used if unique evolution lines werent used instead. Armor digimon also come in champion/adult stage flavors so they aren't exclusively armor stage or unable to evolve past it either and can also evolve naturally from child/rookie digimon without the armor eggs. Not sure about adult levels like gatomon but slide evolution is a thing so probably. Im not entirely sure what changed to lift those restrictions on evolution though. Supposedly lucemon before he fell defeated huanglongmon when it went out of control and frontier canon states that the og legendary warriors were the first megas and gave the power of evolution to the rest of the digital world after defeating lucemon so maybe the canons are linked. Thats just speculation though on my part.
All that said, this is a really cool video with some great picks imo. I never noticed how much ajatarmon fits shurimon for some reason. Lol As todd howard says about the elders scrolls, "it just works."

I love this idea because it gives Armor Digivolving a use later in the show and gives Veemon and co *proper* ultimate level forms! I always thought it was weird they never did, much less how they only had one Mega to work with. Made me feel like Hawkmon and Armadillomon were superfluous later on.

I would totally want to see custom Armor Ultimates and Megas. (Plus, I even came up with potential terms for the ascended versions of Armor Digivolution. Super Armor being the term for the Ultimate equivalent, because of how it's basically the Armor Digimon ascending beyond its limits to the next level like a Saiyan ascending to a Super Saiyan by supercharging the Digimental to its max. With the Mega equivalent being God Armor that at least in my head brings back the whole idea of Digimental fusion that the 02 writers originally wanted to use, with the 2 Digimentals of the 02 protags with 2 Digimentals acting like magnets with opposing poles attracting to each other, combining like chemical agents to achieve explosive results, like how the Mega Man NT Warrior explains how DoubleSoul works in that continuity. As for Takeru, Hikari, and Ken, they can achieve the same thing after getting their Crests back, by combing the Digimental with their Crest in a similar manner. Though I could also see God Armor working like how the Savers Protags unlocked their Mega Levels to be completely honest.)

I’ve come up with an alternative mega for Pegasusmon: KaiTsimon a holy beast Digimon based on the Sinyou or Kia Tsi, a Qillin like creature but more imposing. He is a noble and fare judge, he has the ability to determine truth and deception, also if the deception is harmless of for a good reason. He will let it slide. If not or if his opponent has an evil heart, he punishes the with his attacks like Sacred Blade.
I would definitely love to see this done with custom art. Great video again

I definitely feel like armor digivolving was under utilized. Like it was a brand new concept and was cast aside for DNA Digievolution. It's only purpose was to give the cast a way around the no normal digivolving thing. I feel like there should have been more to armor digivolving. Like it could have been something that could stand on it's own. There have been ideas I came up with that could have made it stand out more
Oh man the Pegasusmon>Chirinmon>Goldramon is SO good because the Kirin is basically a dragon that looks like a horse in chinese mythology which is just *chef's kiss* as an evo to/from the 2 forms.
Custom artwork of the evolved armour would be amazing, so many places to take that.

My personal head canon for a raidramon evolution would be Kendogarurumon and then Zeedgarurumon. It’s not a perfect fit by any means but I really like how they’d all be on four legs and I think it makes sense considering how the crest of friendship is based on Matt and Gabumon

I feel like Garummon would fit as a Lighdramon evo cause of the speed theme and the whole Tai Matt duality as well as Greymon Garurumon duality
I love the idea of fusing the Digiarmors, sort of combining both Armor Digivolutions and DNA Digivolving, having a Flamedramon + Raidramon custom Ultimate. I would love to see you do customs for all three of the double digimetals, and MAYBE for fun, also have Pegasusmon and Nefertimon combine as well.
