    We did the same thing when all we had was a Ford 3000. I love to see people do things that we used to have to do.

    My grandpa always used log prongs like that when he cut his firewood logs. That looks like locus wood, that stuff is hard as a rock when it dries. I wish i had a tractor that size for the lighter things to do around here. Keep up the work my friend.

    Great video. I have the same setup on my MF 230. Works great. If you ever take the notion to part with the 245, I have no problem driving up from western NC. I look forward to every video. Keep up the good work!!

      The chain pitch is .325. I thought I’d try that intro and see what people thought. Those log tongs require a little more effort but it works. Thanks for watching!

    We used a set of log tongs last week that belonged to my grandfather they pulled those pine logs up the hillside where that grapple wouldn't go!

    Ben, had the basic setup on a Ford 3000, my boom was about 1/2 the length of yours, Also had a homemade 3 point splitter for it, biggest difference is that we only had one tractor 😂Take Care and Stay Warm 🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸

      Log tongs are a very cost effective way of handling logs if you have no other way. We got by doing lots of logging that way. Now that I have all the fancy stuff the logging has slowed down 😢! Appreciate you watching!

    boom poles are handy and useful . I thought when I bought a loader tractor i wouldn’t need my boom pole. I was wrong I still use it a lot.

      @@khtractors For sure I put a 1 ton chain hoist on mine got it at harbor freight for $65. Makes the boom pole even more useful. Have a good one!

    Hey Ben, We had a boom pole on the farm, I don't know where it ever went, I wish I did. We also had a 3 point hitch loader with a trip bucket. We loaded a lot of manure with that loader. lol, It looked a little chilly there? That splitter works well on that tractor. Take care
