Timber Tuff Log Skidding Tongs 32" - 2

In this video, we are testing out the Timber Tuff 32" Steel Log Skidding Tongs. These tongs are heavy duty and built well. I purchased them from Amazon but they can be found at Tractor Supply.

I mentioned in a previous video of yours about safety. I mentioned that you have to keep your work area clean, no tripping hazards and things sticking out etc. For this video I suggest you get some steel toed boots.

I got sum red 32" log hooks that have the swivel theyre made out of sum thick ass steel dam good log hooks

I use a 4ft piece log chain with hook on each end to attach grapple to boom.

note, I've been using similar equipment for years, one observation , the lenght of the yellow bar ( boom) is too long, at that lenght it reduces the liftingpower of the tractor , just saying

if you got fork lift why do you need the tongs

Set of forks makes the tongs a useless item. Only time I use mine is to lift logs out of a trailer that has sides I can't get the forks into. Also, on anything but level ground, that swinging load on the back has the potential to cause loss of tractor control.

The tongs are very useful in the woods for sniging logs out, in some cases forks are useless.

@Hume Adventures I skid logs out with a skidding winch on the back of the tractor.
