BTS has time and time again shown how good of people they are by their actions, mannerisms, and their ability to respond appropriately to every obstacle that gets thrown their way. Another example, just yesterday Tae was attacked for having an "attitude" at the airport when he was back from Paris, just because he prioritized his safety and went straight to his car like his staff told him without posing for reporters and fans who waited (on their own), cz there was some crazy stalkers who caused a problem there that the police had to step in and change his car placement multiple times for security, yet his kind soul waved for them in his car and apologized on weverse app for not being able to say hi (when he really didn't have to apologize) and it's not the first time he was attacked or hated on, seriously a lot of antis hate the members for very stupid and childish reasons and I always wonder how do people like that exist...

This video is just a very small proof of why BTS deserve what they asked for in the dinner festa 2022...for always being humble, hardworking, passionate, mature, loving and grateful, they deserve to live with no rules or anyone to judge, they're humans after all, and after more than 9 years of running and running, they wanted to slow down a bit and search for their identity back, they finally decided to take a breath and go with the flow and I truly appreciate and love how they handled it for so long, they're the strongest people I've ever known, they inspire me everyday, and I will always be by their side encouraging and pushing them up, because just like RM said previously "please use me, use BTS to love yourselves, cause you guys taught me how to love myself everyday" They made me feel at home, the most calm, peaceful and comforting home I've ever had, and I'll always love them deeply and be thankful for their existence, also for never giving up!! I was one of those people 4 years ago, when my daughter first introduced me to BTS. I couldn't see how great they were because I was biased. Not biased against Koreans. Biased against Boy Bands. Because I had that unquestioned American distaste for boy bands, I couldn't see how amazing BTS actually is. Luckily when Map of the Soul: 7 came out, I re-evaluated them and I am so glad I did. I can relate to this a bit. I grew up listening to older music from my parents and grandparents generations, so boybands were never really my thing. I always thought most of them were pretty corny🤣 Much of BTS’ early tracks took me back to childhood songs, and once I got into their lyrics and realizing how deep a lot of them were, not only making romantic pop songs but really pushing the envelope for the content of modern pop especially Kpop, I fell in the rabbit hole💜

The Rise of Bangtan explained well the "Big Three Privilege" when it came to the impact of coming from a small agency. They found a way to connect with fans despite their limited resources. You are correct about many of these efforts having the intention of breaking up BTS. Most of these hardships came from other fandoms trying anything they could to deter BTS's success, because BTS affected the standing of their fav group. Tae's family worked out of town and he saw his parents on weekends only. He was raised by his grandmother and was incredibly close to her. It takes the lowest of the low form of human to attack and mock him over his pain. When she talk about the fans filing a petition with the "Blue House" that is huge. The Blue house is the equivalent of America's "White House"....complaining to the government that your group got beat by another....just wow. I think all threats, no matter where they are made have to be taken equally seriously....one never knows. When that threat was made against Jimin (that he would be killed during a concert), Jin wore the same outfit as Jimin to deflect from him....an unbelievably brave and selfless move by Jin. ARMY doesn't play ...their "White Paper Project" proves to what lengths they will go to correct wrongs against BTS. You have to love how BTS never loose their cool...even when being faced with ridiculous claims in person (being accused of being girls, accusations of plagiarism at a press conference)...always very professional....Mic Drop. Once Naver (the Google of Korea) lost the revenue they would have received from BTS's first online concert (which they chose to do on their own platform), Naver stopped including BTS in their search engine algorithm. Because BTS didn't use the usual Korean media platforms to become successful, the Korean media became salty and rarely reported on BTS's achievements. The fact that BTS became as successful as they are DESPITE all the attempts to thwart their success makes it even more impressive. I think these international media outlets mocking BTS are the type of people who are only in it for the shock value...good attention or bad, they still got attention. Very sad. Hmmm...if you need a European or American boyband at the top, maybe you should up your game and get to the top on your merits. I like your definition of ANTI..lol. Mine would be Absurd Nonsensical Theatrical Ignorance. Humour at the expense of others is the worst kind of humour in my opinion. BTS + ARMY forever. As described in xCeleste's video about ARMY...BTS was the talent and ARMY was the driving force. Thank you for not including Joe Budden's clip, he doesn't deserve the airtime. Another "shock value" media clip...ugh. Thanks for a deep dive.

Learning about this made me understand the fans that became overprotective about BTS. Nowadays, with their popularity and relevance in the music world, sadly, they still have a lot of haters. I guess it's just because they still don't know BTS enough. I am thankful that I gave them a chance. I am happier now and so proud of them, their talents, achievements, the kind of men they have become, and I'm happy that many are influenced by their goodness. Proud ARMY here!

A lot of the overprotective fans, specifically the "ARMY shooters" aren't old fans (not from before 2018) though. More like fans who learned about a lot of these situations after they happened, so their anger is more recent, or they want to overcompensate. There used to be a lot of resentment from armys who joined very early, but I think we have more perspective about how not to over react or what can backfire... Or were more burn out and less on social media.

    • @lobaetoile8440
      @lobaetoile8440 Před 2 lety +3

@@assyle_ It's normal, because BTS is now a known name on mainstream music around the world and it's easier to bump into their content. Also, a lot of people during quarantine were in need of a distraction.
But, many people were accustomed to being fans on a very casual way and may be experiencing this level of attachment to an artist for the first time... Although I'm under the impression there's more people who used to be fans of other boy band or young pop stars... And no matter how much some want to believe that Kpop is the most toxic with pop singers/groups or that ARMY is a predominantly toxic fandom... (Which is absolutely not true at all, the proof is how people behave on concerts and on real life.) The reality is: 1st that fandoms such as One Direction or Justin Bieber have a similar type of stalker fans (obviously I'm just talking about extreme fans, I know it's not everyone)... Although much more sexualized and more immerse on a celebrity culture/absolute lack of privacy (on the other hand, less exposed to control when it comes to parties, dating, social life, living alone... Also, I assume better payed.)
[I didn't know about Larry for example, and when I researched it, I was terrified... And the sexual advances from fans/even older women and they were minors, this is apparently a thing... Obviously, the artist can take advantage of fans too, but that's not the topic here]
And 2nd, fandoms of that type are full of solo stans. Boy Bands, Rock groups and even pop punk bands fandoms (I didn't know this before)... Apparently, having only one favorite is "the norm". The culture of inclusion, teamwork, solidarity and respect that ARMYs (aka being OT7- spreading a message) have tried to stablish is not the norm, it's not something that happens frequently with pop acts. A factor that may influence this is how frequently western famous bands have member who absolutely hate each other and after disbanding may 'expose' the other or badmouth them... I am sure in Kpop there are groups that don't get along, but respect is a big deal there, so it may be more of a 'cold shoulder' than 'fist fight', or at least they're discreet. There are so many western groups and duets in which even SIBLINGS! hated and betrayed each other (i am flabbergasted by this)...
There's also a difference in general between western and eastern fandom, when it comes to the attitude towards the company. This attracts conflict. The west idolizes individuality, with that comes agression when it comes to journalists, media or record labels making any mistake... Even towards the idols... "Cancel culture, cyberbullying". They also assume that they know which are the smartest decisions, they don't understand the business. (Entitlement). This clashes with Eastern people who have a community oriented culture, who may try to defend everyone without making constructive criticism or even the idea of "we have to support other groups"... This isn't always bad, but it makes others extremely angry. There's also more entitlement when it comes to controlling the artist decisions sometimes (who they can collab with, etc).
Of course, there's also the typical trolls who aren't on fandoms with the only purpose of getting into fanwars and fighting, to relieve whatever negative feelings they have at home.
All of this is, of course, my own perspective/speculation... I may be wrong about many things.

These are just some of the words I think when I hear an ANTI. RM said to not pay attention to the NEGATIVES but only to the POSITIVES.
For the ANTIS It's not too late. There were haters that ended becoming an ARMY after learning about BTS.
Tomorrow I might be a tiny bit wiser, and that's me, too. These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I was, who I am, and who I hope to become. -RM

The Zach Sang show one was particularly painful because BTS had been on Zach's show a few times already and he was always nice to them. The fact that he didn't bother to stop his guests from making those rude comments or even try to correct them was such a betrayal for BTS and ARMYs. He even joined in and "joked" about BTS... What a coward for not standing up for what is right.
There are probably millions of antis, just a few years back, we only had 1 or 2 fandoms from other groups that were on our side. I have no words for the embarrassement I feel for the German media as a whole concerning the comments the radio-host made. The articles other outlets wrote about the incident were all along the lines of "poor misunderstood radio-host got attacked by rabid fans because he didn't like BTS music". German Army was never ever angry about anyone not liking BTS' music.
The excuse in the style of "I'm sorry you feel that way but I'm a good person and don't deserve this backlash" did not help but was painted as entirely sincere and satisfactory by the media. Due to Army's persistence, the host is not on air any longer and hosts a podcast instead. Recently, he announced that he plans to publish a book about his experience with the "shitstorm" he received by "rabid fans".
It's tiring for us to deal with our media that's very much centered around the attitudes and feelings of old, white man who get to say whatever they want without consequence. We won't stop, though. I just hope that BTS don't even see half the stuff "experts" post about them.

17:46 this was a SUPER SHORT clip of this moment.. but baby jungkook was so shy and a bit timid around newer ppl back then… and doing this show alone with no members. The discussion went on for longer than necessary but the part that makes me so sad for him.. was it was bad enough they just wouldn’t take this gesture of kindness that he brought for them.. but he’s so young.. and the men were making fun of the food but he would ask them what was wrong and try to explain and they totally ignored him.. which is why he turns to the crew and asked why they wouldn’t accept it.. bc they were answering him… saying it was left overs and he went and knelt down on his seat while they kept saying it was weird and not gonna take it while he sat there taking deep breaths.. with a fake smile on his face until they just gave it back and told him to go sit and they were going to start.. and he’s sitting there with legit tears in his eyes kinda zoning out for awhile. Just knowing how shy he was and stuff it kills me to see him treated like he didn’t exist.
The v and his grandma thing is the one that really absolutely breaks me… the disgusting and horrific comments were vile. You don’t have to like bts or v but that was going way too far.. just bc you like another group.. it’s devastating.. it really is.

the racism those boys face is the most heartbreaking part for me.. as an asian, seeing an asian group like bts become soo successful worldwide, not just in the west, makes me so happy beyond words. unfortunately the west think they're the center of the world, and everyone else is below them. but then came bts, and not only did they prove that they're successful, they became more successful than a lot of artists in their own country, and the western industry especially has been acting like an outsider broke in into their house and that's just "wrong", simply because bts are asian, they're not necessarily fluent in english and are not singing in english, they look "different".. but as an asian, im so so happy that wonderful genuinely good ppl like bts are representing me and showing the world that you deserve to be heard no matter where you come from, what language you speak, what you look like. especially with the pandemic asians have faced so much racism online, but bts, as one of the faces of asia, not only saw these posts online (you'd be shocked if you saw the daily racist posts and how easy it is for some ppl to be racist towards them on twitter) but they also heard them to their face, sometimes because the racist thought they couldn't understand them lol even after so many years they're still making them feel like outsiders or aliens or unwelcomed which is heartbreaking.. racism towards anyone is just pathetic and disgusting

I want to address a quote from the beginning about "a scare in the fandom". People who thought that BTS was breaking up and were panicking didn't watch their Festa Dinner Party, where they clearly said that they're taking a brake, aren't disbanding and will record their show Run BTS. A lot of people just went with a flow of what media and people on the Internet wrote without watching Dinner Party. I know that for western fans who have no idea about South Korean industry the word "hiatus" is traumatic when it comes to the boy groups, but taking breaks from group music activities, releasing solo albums instead and still being a group is something normal in South Korea due to mandatory military service. Most of ARMYs who watched Dinner Party cried because there was a lot of emotions during the show. BTS cried and we felt sorry that they felt guilty for taking a break and thought that they would disappoint us with their decision. Never in my life I would be disappointed because of it. They need to rest and have time for themselves. I'm not going anywhere and I'm ready to support their solo activities 💜

Guys! I just wanna give you both the biggest thank you! In this space we often have people come in with an agenda, an agenda that’s not always pure in nature. People see our passion for BTS and they leech off it. It’s frustrating when you see that someone has no real desire to learn, understand or even genuinely enjoy in some cases. I’m not saying that everyone has to go as deep as you do, but I do think I can speak for the fandom when I say that the way you guys do things here is so appreciated. Of course everyone experiences things in their own way, and that’s their right. You can stay surface level and just enjoy the music. But for a lot of us, BTS is an extremely profound and important part of our lives, and it’s so beautiful and relieving (considering what you saw the members go through in this video) to see people really take the time to fully understand and immerse themselves.
As you can probably imagine, it gets extremely tiresome when BTS and our fandom are constantly put down, misjudged, used and bullied. It’s painful when we’re painted with certain labels, such as ‘the screaming teenage fangirl’ or when BTS are painted with the ‘surface level, bubblegum pop, kpop machine’ label. I think you can probably understand perfectly why that can feel so demoralising after seeing the diversity in our fandom and hearing songs like Born Singer etc.
These seven incredible humans are unfortunately the victim of a bitter world, in which people are uncomfortable with seeing genuine success and happiness through hard work, talent and pure intention, all because of toxic work culture, toxic societal expectations and perpetual cynicism. People are ALWAYS trying to twist their words and actions, trying to find dirt on them, trying to demotivate them, because the world is so unused to seeing genuinely good people succeed. There always has to be a catch, a downfall. Because how else will these miserable people feel better about themselves if people seemingly so far above them are genuinely good and pure.
We have grown a real family and community in this fandom space, but our greatest strength is diversity. Peoples age, gender, sexuality, race, nationality. All of that gives us the greatest advantage ever, and that is different experiences, different thought processes, different perspectives. This fandom is not a monolith, we don’t have a hive mentality outside of being a decent humans and supporting our favourite artist. That is why we’re powerful. None of these naysayers can take us down because we aren’t one big machine with a glaring fault to be attacked. They can’t take down BTS with all of this idiocy they throw at them, because we as a fandom know them, we have a relationship with them. Yes, I know they don’t know me personally, but what I do know is that they care about me, genuinely. And that goes for every other ARMY. They really do care about us. They share things with us, they don’t hide or put themselves on a celebrity pedestal. They actively pursue and maintain a genuine relationship with us. The media and the industry hate us because they can’t control us with narratives and articles. If they write something ridiculous, usually every other fandom would be in outrage and there’d be chaos. But we can immediately be like “Nah, they’d never do that” or “This member would never say that. We know you’re lying because they don’t even talk like that.” Billboard tried doing that last year and we immediately called bs because we know that’s just not the way the members act or speak. And they got mad because they realised we won’t fall for their lies.
At the end of the day, the hate, the racism, the lies, the bullying will never stop. But we’ll be continuing to support them as hard as we can. I’m so happy you guys are taking the time to see and appreciate that. It means so much. I hope you’re enjoying your journey! I can’t wait to carry on reliving my journey with you guys! Borahae 💜

As silly as it may seem, it’s nice to have people like you (although you’re part of us now 🥰) just recognise that, sympathise and support us for a change, rather than just scoffing or being dismissive or joining in on the crap. The way the media reacted to the news of bts' temporary break both inside and outside of korea is honestly just another example of how they mistreat bts. Bts released their map of the soul: 7 - album in early 2020 and were supposed to go on tour and take this break afterwards but because of covid, the tour got postponed and eventually cancelled. Half the music industry were on break because of the pandemic, which is understandable, but bts improvised and kept producing content *for us*. They had the perfect opportunity to take a break but they didn't. Instead, they released their first english single in fall 2020, held a 2-day online concert a month later, released the BE-album at the end of the year, butter in spring 2021, permission to dance a few months later in the summer and finally held in-person concerts in LA, LV and seoul from the end of 2021 to early 2022. That whole time they were bottling up their feelings and when they finally got to share them with armys on bts' 9th anniversary, their words were twisted for clickable headlines. Although there were translation errors in the video, the members themselves made it very clear that this isn't the end, but rather a healthy plan for them to re-discover themselves as individuals so they can become an even better, stronger team. K-media was just as bad as western media and namjoon even wrote a letter on weverse the day after about how the media has twisted the narrative and how a part of him regrets being so open and vulnerable (twitter.com/jjimvely/status/1537120871340384256?s=20&t=C1s9iDHmdTXcuxBQq_6_mg). It's already heart breaking enough that they had to keep quiet for two years but what makes it even worse is how the members were made to feel like they have to tip toe around their feelings and how they choose to express them, all for people who literally couldn’t care less. It just breaks my heart to know that the pain they've been carrying and their honest vulnerability is being exploited like this for a couple of clicks on some articles.

13:00 the song with the alleged misogynistic lyrics is ‘war of hormone’ and it’s a whole BOP. as a woman, i’ve never had a problem with it personally (some lyrics are kinda questionable, but i’ve always thought they were pretty fitting since the song was written from the pov of teenage boys in war with their hormones lol)
also other, more popular boy groups were releasing far worse at the time and didn’t get half of the backlash bts got. bts got hate mostly because they were bts

Omg same. I think war of hormone was the BTS song that really made me fall down the rabbit hole. The video was hilarious to me. Everything about the song made me happy. It was just a fun song that I think people took way too seriously. And when I saw the hate comments against it I was so surprised coz I loved everything about it. But I'm still glad BTS took the criticism about it to heart and learned from it and that shows just how amazing and genuinely good they are. They didn't do that half ass irritating apology of "I'm sorry you feel that way but...." They actually put in the work, took in the critics' words, educated themselves and have not done it again. Not to shade other groups but a lot of them have learnt nothing from the very valid criticism towards them. That's why me and BTS are for life. I love men who actually listen and do their best to right their wrongs whether it's a big deal or not! Sorry for jumping in your comments and writing an essay lol. I just love BTS and WOH so much

*About song "War of hormones" controversy:*
so..let me clear the misunderstanding k-popies hv and few Armys hv about this song which was blown out of proportion by h@ters & Antis to create drama that time, which worked cuz k-popies & media latched on it...
*This is going to long a$$ comment*
Let's be real, War of Hormones wasn't misogynistic. It was just an honest song about what guys in that age range go through. They were straight up saying that they struggle with their hormones when they see a pretty girl, *and guess what? That's just being honest.* 👁️👄👁️ The title itself gives a clear idea to how they see it. A war. An internal conflict. And it's true to what guys in their late teens and early 20s go through. Bangtan has always been about talking about their experiences and being a voice of people their age.
The entire album, Dark & Wild, was really just about the turmoils of young adulthood. In the title of the album too, you can already tell what the sentiment was going to be. The first 3 albums spoke about school and issues of teens. And then from there, the darker days of coming to terms with adulthood. And then the HYYH series. Everything was thematic with stories they wanted to tell as they go through life.
Antis and fans of other groups were just grasping at straws to find something to shit on and unfortunately the media picked up on it and then some ARMY took it as truth and they themselves started talking as if the song was offensive. It isn't. We need to stop spreading this story as if BTS were misogynistic boys who needed to learn a lesson. Yes, Namjoon has learned a lot from the experience and has gone out of his way to speak to experts in women's studies, but I'm sure that whole ordeal also caused him unnecessary pain.
*Now, My personal take on this:* I don't see anything wrong with the lyrics of the song. All boys go through puberty and the things BTS sung in this are just reflective of their experience going through that phase in their lives. This is the reason I love them and their songs.. they didn't hide anything and covered all the feelings/thoughts of a person who is in his/her adolescent...one can see them growing up from then till today…I personally don't find the lyrics offensive and “most” Armys as well..as I agree they are expressing the struggles of dealing with hormonal changes in adolescence, and I'm sorry but sexual attraction is the number one pressing issue in most hormonal teens regardless of gender. There's a couple of issues I take with people who found this offensive. First, the double standard. You can't tell me young women were purely innocent in their thoughts and feelings as they watched these young men dance and sing, they just didn't make a song about it, at least not publicly. Secondly, the entire concept BigHit wanted from BTS is a representation of the youth culture and the issues youth deal with as seen and heard through the lyrics and music of BTS, and of course everyone has or will experience sexual attraction. Yes, they refer to see through clothing and high heels etc, but I've seen hundreds of posts referring to JK's abs, Jimin's body rolls and shoulder "accidents" Tae's tongue...you get the idea, and while many comments aren't necessarily teens it's not a problem. There can only be an issue if the lyrics were implying that I'm only attracted to girls who wear heels and sheer clothing, not sneakers and sweats. Anyone who has experienced adolescence knows however that if they're sexually attracted to someone the person could easily walk around in a potato sack and an adolescent would still be entranced.
A lot of people were offended by that line, "Girls are equations and us men just do them". Personally, I took it as "do them" meant they were puzzles to be solved, not a sexual act. RM was honestly shocked that people were offended by the lyrics and that they could be considered misogynistic. It was definitely a learning experience for him. He apologized and has since run his lyrics through a few professionals in women's studies before releasing a new song. They don't really release songs like this any more. *But to that a korean Army said translation in English were a bit off, which lead to misunderstandings and explained it saying : “I was kinda surprised it's translation was "do" because that part "do them" CAN actually sound offensive to some people, because the meaning of that word 'do' is not clear. However I can clearly say that it's not meant that way, and Korean version lyrics tell that. Words are more specific, and not controversial in Korean version lyrics, because it doesn't say 'do. That part in Korean is 여자들은 방정식 우리 남자들은 해 which says we men are 해 is a word for mathematics, and it means the 'answer/the final number'. So it means they solve. the complex minds of the girls. 해 DOES have the meaning of 'do' too, but its not appropriate to translate this part of the lyrics that way, because if u say it means "do them, it doesn't fit the sentence there. Since there's no Objectives for that Verb 'do' and that's... kinda awkward. plus. the context and meaning of the whole sentence is talking abt mathematics and Equations so what u said is true. It doesn't mean sexual way”* it's freaking mistranslation, if you don't belive me ask any korean, not only k-army but any Korean.. it was done to sabotage BTS's career..💀
BTS hv made few mistakes unknowingly early in their career and said things which can be considered offensive, as they were young but they hv re-educated themselves, apologized and never repeated the mistakes again..but I hv seen many k-popies and so called Multi Armys twisting many things because of that..take for example this song.. it's blown out of the proportion just to cause drama..and they were sadly successful in that..haters/antis tried every lil thing to bring BTS down & sabotage their career ngl..

I’ve just gone through all your reaction videos to BTS and I want to sincerely thank you for going into this with so much respect and kindness. As an Asian Canadian, I’m very familiar with the kind of racism and xenophobia that BTS has faced during their career. They are the first and only group that has ever given me a bit of representation in the media, and it’s such a special bonus to know that they are also sincerely good human beings. I am always wary of non-asians who choose to do reactions about BTS because oftentimes they don’t put in the effort to learn their names or acknowledge/distinguish their personalities or achievements. Many CZcamsrs brush it off because it’s “too hard” to distinguish their faces and Asian mannerisms are unfamiliar to them. The effort that you guys have put in from the very beginning to give such important representatives of Asian culture the respect and consideration they deserve warms my heart. But all we want is for people to live them alone so we can rest and enjoy. As people continue to harass them for just who they are and hate their simple existence, Army will protect them. They will keep defending and being protective of their idols as we are to ours. BUT with what our boys go through, it is SO MUCH DIFFERENT from what the other groups have been through. It is when RM said in his verse in Butter, "Got ARMY right behind us when we say so", i know that they know we're always here for them as they are for us.

Amazing reaction my friends Jared & Jordan, like allways!!...I have seen your reactions to Dimash, the best male singer of the world (In my personal opinion)...Now I want to invite you to meet, who is considered one of the Best Female Singers of the World (The best in my personal opinion)...The passion and dedication when Dimash is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable, the Goddess: Lara Fabian.....Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control...She speaks and composes in 5 languages and sings in more than 15 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see covers of her songs on CZcams made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Polina Gagarina, Forestella, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Giulia Falcone, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Rimar, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara...Here you have the link of her amazing performance of the son>g “Je Suis Malade”....czcams.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/video.html

Big Hit was this tiny company that did things differently...music for healing, encourage BTS to write their own songs with meaning & work hard so that they will never be embarrassed for their content and they didn’t buy media or endorsements. What bothered me most is that BTS always had so much hate…from other Kpop Fans & South Koreans of EXO & Big Bang etc, xenophobia, jealous wannabes, blatant lies, death threats, negative media, ignorant westerners…. It’s amazing they succeeded regardless of the many challenges & did it with so much grace. They encourage me to be the best version of myself.

I barely comment and I honestly just like your videos as a subscriber but I wanted to comment as an ARMY from 2016. I remember when I joined the fandom, everyone was so mentally tired and sad. I was so shocked and some time after, I realized that just saying you were a "BTS fan" made the antis and other fandoms bully you. I even experienced this when I started discovering kpop. Asking a question about another group made many of their fans insult me and BTS because of my profile picture at the time (because I didn't know someone from a "more popular" group yet I was a "BTS fan" or as they called us "ratmy" and "begtan fan"). I remember I got a wake up call to how horrible it was with the "Break Wings Project" & remember there even was a time I was unsure to share with others online (and even in real life) that I was an ARMY due to just the hate. The ARMYs that came from 2013-2014 are real warriors. And even though we'll surely face more hatred and disrespect, it is nothing new. BTS is worth it.

If the haters and trolls used 10% of the energy they use to hate on people, to instead, focus on themselves and their own goals, they might have their own success stories. You don’t succeed by bringing others down, but by lifting yourself and others up.

These are just what they faced mentally imagine the physical pain they went through after performing and one of the biggest example is Suga shoulder injury. Which lead to his absence from so many concerts. Rm leg injury or when Jk got stiches on his legs. Oxygen tanks become major accessories because of intense performance.
J-hope was called ugly and horse and he almost left the group He just came back because he trusted his brothers. Jin who is the oldest member mentioned how people sometimes just want to grab and touch his face and it's hurtful.
But despite all this they still give their best. Now we need to make sure that when Rm says they needs a break we will take it as a positive thing. They are humans and they deserve it.

I read somewhere that Success makes you humble but in BTS case it's more to it- " Success and Hate you get makes you humble". They say two negatives can never make a positive but BTS got infinite negatives around them but they still managed to remain humble and positive spreading positivity to lives of millions around the world making this world a better place to live in💜 I became a more optimistic person after I started to live my life with BTS in it& I am always so grateful of BTS for making me try hard to succeed in my life never giving up always remaining humble. BTS inspired me in so many different aspects of my life but this one I think is the reason that always made me feel proud of being someone to respect, admire, love and support them no matter what. I'm so emotional and overwhelmed while I'm typing this, I've so much to say but I think this must be enough to express myself 🤧
And yes at last I wanna say Welcome back guys, I was really waiting for your BTS videos & I'm so excited for this one as well....
I Know you guys really put your best efforts in bringing us these BTS videos as they deserve, but I still wanted you to know that we'll really be grateful if you could check out MY YOU song by Jungkook which he released on 13th BTS's 9th anniversary, it really is so special for us, I couldn't help but sobbing inside feeling so loved by him because of that infinite love he has for us in his beautiful heart when I watched this and I really want you guys to feel that warmth of love that jungkook has put into this song.... I don't think that there'll be even a single ARMY who couldn't feel the love that JK conveyed through his vocals because he always outdoes himself doing this

I have been watching your reactions from the very first Black swan to the latest BTS hardships. Loved your genuine reaction to BTS.
Being an introvert , usually I don't let the people cross the line in my personal life. I don't know when I let BTS come into my life.
The moment they entered my life they became everything. I laughed with them. I cried with them. I got so much inspirations from them. They started to mean so much to me. They have been someone who I can relate to and I look up to.. Sometimes I feel like they are really too realatable. Sometimes they feel like they are too far.. they are out of reach. When I feel like they are out of reach it makes me to do my best in my life so that I will be able to relate them again. Can you understand the thing that some persons who I never met and possibly will not became everything to me.. ? Even I don't understand how .. but that's what happened. They are so adorable that I want to grab them and put them in my pocket.. ahhh.. I really do have some weird fantasy right ?
I rarely comment on reaction vedios.. but after watching your BTS hardships vedio I couldn't stop myself.
There was a clip of someone talking about makeup and about the differences in being an idol and artist.. I really wanted to ask them ' can you define the word artist ? I really wanted to ask them what does artist means to them. Their origin ? Their colour ? Their talent ? Probably the word ' talent ' doesn't fit here.. if they new the word talent really defines the word artist they wouldn't have a made such kind of statement in the first place.
I suggest you to react on Spring day ' song and it's explanation vedio to understand the depth of their lyrics. I personally like that song a lot..
I appreciate your genuine reaction.. eagerly waiting for your next vedio.
I will be there in your beautiful journey of becoming an army.
    Love you guys. 💜

Well idk why would any sick person want to do that and share every detail about it online and i can't imagine what jimin and RM have went through with thet stress. I want to point out something I just learned from a Mexican creator (Christian Burgos) who lives and works on Korea tv and a Korean creator who lives in Mexico and who has become well-known CZcamsr (Chingu-amiga, Sujin). They were talking about their experience on set and the dressing room, while Su said that every dressing room in Mexico is the same one, just mirror images from one to the other, Christian on the other hand had to explain to us how in Korea every host/presenter/talent is categorized different. Like examp: a presenter with let's say 15/20 years of experience is an A and will be given a dressing room with a private bathroom a lounge/ bed space for him/her to get ready. As opposed to him when he started and was put in a room with 8 more guys, let's say an F. A being the best and most respectful, and F being the bear minimum. Now understanding a little more about Korea tv idiosyncrasies I understand with how much disrespect/ disregard BTS was treated THEY WERE NOT EVEN GIVING A FRIKIN MULTIPERSON DRESSING ROOM!!! It hurts even more!

There are many music agencies in S.Korea, but only 3 major ones. And their artists were the only ones winning awards.(that’s not suspicious at all) and had heavy momentary influence on the media. BTS is the FIRST group from a small agency to break this and it pissed a lot of people off. Those companies, and those fans. There is also a very heavy suspicion that the companies planted malcontents in the fandoms to help stir up hate. We don’t see that in western media, but it’s smaller than the West, over there and Very cut throat. Vindictive and petty as well.

I am still impressed with how RM learn from his mistakes, and actively sought out a solution toward the claims of misoginy in his lyrics (which I knew where it came from, S Korea was built based on Konfusius which placed women beneath men, and even in their society now, feminism is a dirty word, regarded as radical. You can see this in their drama (which mirrors their society) by way of their male leads acting like jerks, and possessive toward the female lead. A lot of those male lead thropes have changed, due to their regard of foreign tastes and that kdramas are now watched world wide.
BTS grew up in this society, were still mostly boys back then, so they held bias about men and women relationships. And bias is hard to detect by ourselves.
So it's very self-aware, and thoughtful for RM to have a professor of women studies to check his lyrics. That is not a half-assed apology. That is an actual effort to change, and I appreciate that so much!

I don‘t know how serious the death threats were, but on CZcams and other platforms you can find videos and pictures from 2018 of Jin and Jimin wearing the same outfits, to confuse the people who send them, or a video of Suga, who pushed Jimin behind his back, when a woman approached the members at the airport. They were definitley careful and concerned.

I can name hundred more hardships I don't think it ever ends, the boys have gone through so much in their career from the beginning and unfortunately it didn't get easier for them, the bigger they got, the bigger hardships got.
But in 2016 when they got so much hate ARMYs promised one thing, to make BTS untouchable, that's why we are protective and the most hardworking fandom to ever existe.
And finally in 2022 now I can say we finally achieved that, BTS now are untouchable, they have decided to focus on their individual work and focusing on their self improvement and having rest.
During their announcement, the industry was mad, a lot of articles were talking badly about them and spread misinformation, a lot of discrediting happened, even pressuring them to reconsider their break.
They are free from the industry that have wronged them many times, even though it's sad that even after being one of the biggest acts of the generation they still get unfair treatment, but I'm happy that they got big enough that they don't have to bend to their rules anymore.

Military service. As XCeleste said, BTS has always maintained that they will enlist when called upon. The revision that she spoke of, earning an order of cultural merit, angered the agencies who wanted deferment for their artists bc ONLY BTS has earned an award - The Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit. They call the new law “The BTS Law.” Just another reason for people to be angry. Even though BTS never asked for it. 😂

Jordan and Jared, it would be really cool if you guys reacted to The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story Of Bts(2022 update!). It is a video that shows BTS' timeline and career. It also dives deeper into the members' background and it's so well made, I think you guys will enjoy it.

Always love your reactions and introspections. But I wanted to add a little info, you guys asked what kind of death threats BTS members recieved. For RM it was a picture online of a gun and a threat to kill him with many agreeing comments. For Jimin it was also an online post with pictures of a gun and blood insinuating they wanted to shoot him on stage. Since the concert was being held in America the threat was taken very seriously since access to guns is widely available here. (Gun ownership is illegal in south Korea. Even their cops don't have guns. Only detectives get a revolver that they rarely have to use and practically never fire) So when in America and recieving American threats, I can't imagine the fear BTS experience every time they come here. It's awful anyone would say these things when all BTS has ever done is promote and give love. Now to add to your later understandings about how BTS was not receiving the same type of media coverage as other groups in Korea. In South Korea there were 3 major companies that manage Kpop groups, soloists, rappers, actors, and models. The 3 companies were SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG entertainment. Groups from these companies are often given the most attention from media because the companies have a lot of political and monetary sway. But now, BigHit now known as HYBE is becoming the biggest company of them all because of the success of BTS. Again, I want to thank both of you for taking the time to really learn about the culture of Kpop and for giving BTS a chance to show you how powerful they are. 💜

The Big 3 have influence over media, music shows etc and they tried to keep BTS down ....They created their own shows because they were either not invited...or mistreated on the mainstream shows under big 3 influence

I always get emotional whenever Im watching stories about their pasts. Actually those groups trying to drag them down are still attacking them now and then, but unlucky them that ARMYs becoming more and more day by day and stronger everyday 💜

Every time I watch this video, I cry. These 7 boys have been through so much and are still going through all the hatred. What I love and respect about my men is that they never spoke back, never addressed haters, never gave them the attention they were asking for. They only went on making songs that portrayed how they felt. They only focus on people that love them (ARMY). All this hatred, loss and bullying has paid off.
Thank you Jared and Jordan for another amazing reaction video. I admire your sincerity when it comes to learning about Bangtan or anyone else for that matter. ♥️

Everyday is a fight, everyday is terrifying knowing that no matter what bts show the public, there is always something bad to point out and worst is that people focus on that side rather than bts' success, bts' achievements, bts passing stereotypes.
Few weeks ago when that bts festa video was released and translations in the subs messed up with a word 'hiatus'. Everybody was misled. But when in this hardship video said that media always want to make fuss about everything, it's true. Media spread this misinformation and it quickly went viral in South Korea, what's worst is that they themselves are koreans, so they would know what bts truly said in that video and they knew the translation were different from what they said. RM posted on Weverse and was completely lowkey outrage. He says something about the media always twist the words and make them look bad. "there were a lot of keyword were provoking and fragmented or incomplete" he said also that, that moment was the most and only time he recieved a lot of phone calls and messages, SINCE DEBUT. So, what about the other achievements they recieved? the times when they broke the barriers? the time when they made a name and paved the way for Korea and kpop? BTS has achieve more than what Korea has expected of them but continously downing bts despite that bts is a big part of korea's gp.
When the media spread the misinformation, everything loss budget and money. "It turns out that Korea's National Pension Service lost over 140 billion won thanks to K-media's misleading reporting about BTS. That pretty much impacts the entire country. If Korea's economy is so dependent on BTS being active they should have been exempted ages ago." SM, JYP and YG lost a combined 600 Billion Won over 7 days because BTS temporarily suspended group activities." qoutes from army.
Korea Singers Association's chairman requested @BTS_twt to reconsider its indefinite break through an official statement, concerning about the decline of the group's Hallyu power: "Since it's not easy to expect next BTS or Beatles, I'm afraid that the Hallyu flow would be cut." a tweet from kpop herald.
This were just a few responses from that video. The audacity for them to beg bts to keep pumping music, keep them working when they have been working non stop for 9 years, when the world was against bts, when they been there for 9 years, non of this reporters, organizations, media was there. They didn't defend nor stood up for bts at least once and we witness it all cause we were the one fighting for bts. Then when they decided to take a rest, to regain their purpose, to breathe, they beg as if its a matter of life and death for them?
    I disagree.
This hardships are just a few of what is really happening everyday. The amount of hate being thrown bts is just overwhelming. No matter what words are twisted, its completely unfair. Comoletely upsetting. Knowing bts, being an army. Everyday, is a struggle but i am willing to fight it everyday too for bts. As a army, i'll never stop defending whats right ever since the beginning. I really admire bts because no matter how much hate they recieve, the amount of hate against each member or as a group is incredibly high, but they always remain humble and smile at armys. Respectful and avoiding it as much as possible. So, fact, that is the reason why armys are protective of bts so much. Sensitive when a new "fan" or new "brand" or new "person" new "opportunities" new "deals" new "people" comes in, we accept them, we respect them but armys always get bretrayed. In the end, they just use bts for clout, to mislead them, to use them and it sucks. So, armys are protective over bts because of these things that are completely absurd. And we are not a perfect fandom, as well as bts is a not a perfecr band because we are not perfect as a person, but imagine this world we live in where we choose acceptance, the right way, to understand, respect. You dont have to like bts, you just have to respect them. They just be living their lives like everybody else, work like everybody else, passionate like everybody else, yet they recieved more hate than everybody else.
But at the end, open-minded people knows what bts' worth is. As a person, as a band, as a korean citizen, as a human, they know what bts has to offer and the revolution they made. There will be no next bts, there will be no next army. I'm grateful to be part of this battle cause they helped me get through everyday, feel loved and valued. Good luck to this people, I guess.
Anyway, jhope's solo album is coming on july 15. His title track will be released this friday. Hope you check it out by then if you want. This is a start of chapter 2 for bts. Letting each member shine their own color and jhope is the first. thank you for this video. Thank you for understanding bts, truly. I hope there are more people like you. More love to your channel!

Army is full of people that are sick and tired of all hate. We have a beautiful group that can inspire, and has brought these like minded people together. We are all just people. the only differences are skin color and shape of eyes and people still use those things to promote hate? Ignorance ! Tired of it. I Purple you, Army.

    Thanks for the reaction💜
ARMY, do you think it's possible to invite Jared and Jordan to watch BTS FESTA 2022 in full, or is it too early for them? I hope for a reaction, but isn't it a little early? Thanks to those who will answer this question. (I'm sorry if I didn't formulate it correctly, I'm writing through a translator)
I know they already know the main news of the FESTA, but I really want to see the twins' reaction to the real BTS, their interaction, conversations, and here they are alone with us, ARMY. It's like sitting at one big table as a family, listening and following the whole mood that is happening here. I understand that Jared and Jordan have a long, long way to go, but I'm sorry, maybe I'm just impatient and rushing things, ehehe. I have to restrain myself and honestly wait for this wonderful event, as if I'm waiting for my lover from the military army, ahaha 😅

The translation is perfect! I am with you. I’d like to see that too. It’s not to early. There is so much BTS content from past, present, and ( there will be) future. There is no rule on how to approach the content - either random or chronological. But I would like to see it too! They are definitely one of my favorite BTS reactors. 💜
