    Thank You So much for videos, i have also had tos surgery, due to extra cervical rib in the right part of my neck. It was one week ago, and honestly i did not expect that much pain,not even in the chest area or arm, but in the back, close to right shoulderblade. I'm worried about that, but guess it's normal, it is definitly a super long recovery process. Once again thank You for making this and please update. Wish you all the Best from Poland :)

      Ola F. Hope you’re recovering well! To be honest, that pain lingers for a while, and I’ll still get it, especially if I’m more active and lifting stuff. Slow and steady is the race!

    I was recently diagnosed with TOS although I've been aware of it for at least 20 years. My symptoms are so bad now that I've decided seek help and found out that forsure it is TOS. My dr referred me to a thoracic surgeon and I'm waiting to see him. But while I wait im wondering if lots of the symptoms I'm having is due to TOS. Maybe you've had some of them and can shed light for me.
    Dizziness, fatigue, headaches, blurred vision, ear and jaw pain, shortness of breath, lymph swelling, digestive issues like acid reflux and constipation. And of course all the classic symptoms numbness in arms, hands and fingers. Neck, chest and scapula pain. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

      veronica kalafatis hey there, I apologize for the delay (issues with my notifications). I’ve had a lot of those issues, such as the fatigue, headaches and blurred vision (but I have a history of migraines). The shortness of breath happened more so after my surgery because I was guarding form the pain. I’ve also ended up with some adrenal issues because the stress of multiple surgeries basically wiped out my stress response. If you’ve had chronic pain for a long time, that is also a possibility. Hopefully you’ve been able to get into a thoracic surgeon by now!

      @@thoracicoutletsyndromether8930 thank you. Im waiting to have scalene block injections. Then hopefully surgery right after. Im hoping it helps with my symptoms. I found out i am iron deficient so that was contributing to my issue. Hope all is well after your surgery and I will keep an eye out for your video.

      veronica kalafatis I had a diagnostic test for TOS where they injected lidocaine in the scalene muscle, and I was able to do push ups without pain! Hopefully the scalene block will help with the pain! Wishing you all the best!!

    Hi! Thank you so much for these videos. I seem to have a lot of the same TOS symptoms as you, and even had the surgery for ulnar nerve entrapment. While I’ve had it for 17 years, I was just diagnosed with TOS and am seriously considering surgery. Is there anything about the recovery that you wish you knew before the surgery? Any tips for an easier recovery that you haven’t already stated in the videos? Thanks!

      @thoracicoutletsyndromether8930  Před 4 lety +1

      Jennifer May Nickel hi, thanks for watching! Since you’ve had the ulnar surgery as well, keep in mind you may still have some symptoms if you aggravate that nerve. For example, if I keep my arm bent too long, I’ll start getting some pain and numbness. And that may be due to the nerve still healing/growing because I had a significant amount of scar tissue on the ulnar nerve AND on the scalene muscles.
      Stuff I wish I knew before surgery: 1.) the pain and problems breathing may not happen immediately, but it will happen. Be prepared.
      2.) Recovery is slow, so don’t expect instant results.
      Tips: Unless you’re very self-motivated, get physical therapy done. I was able to start another round of PT after the video, and it made a WORLD of difference. I’ve also invested in some items to help me stretch and release tension, as well as get periodic deep tissue massages. I’m hoping to post another update video this month, so I’ll make sure to include those items! Stay tuned!

      @@nate27100your situation sounds very similar to mine except I have had a disk replacement and two cervical fusion surgeries all at the same level c6-7 and now TOS diagnosis . Its been 5 yrs of 24/7 pain and all those doctors and therapies and X-rays ,scans ,injections and I am worried that mentally I can't handle another surgery and recovery experience. 😭😭
