It is actually great to see that Lionel Messi have been named in Time's 100 Most Influential People of 2023 list
Tennis legend Roger Federer had full of praise for Messi, saying that he dribbles like a magician, and that his passes are works of art. Great words coming from legend himself and you can see that he has great understanding of that sport.

@Nathan Vanee Messi is an inspiration for millions in modern, safe countries/cities to war-torn countries that are stuck in poverty. He is a man with strong family values, never cheated with his wife, and has never been involved with illegal activities or drama that can harm his reputation (unlike many on this list who are accused and did awful things). A humble man who donates millions to ones who are in less fortunate situations helps kids who are dealing with cancer. All this, while being the best to ever play his sport, a sport that is watched and supported by billions, a sport that has the power to unite the world and help kids overcome the daily struggles of life and environment of gang violence or in the middle of a war for example. Messi fully deserves to be on this list and compare to many on this list, he's probably a better human than most.
As far as Nigerians are concerned, especially the youths, external validation of political person contrary to the struggle and vision of true leadership in Nigeria is regrettable. Nigerians do not need external influence or interference in telling them who is a true leader in Nigeria. Nigerians are capable of judging the facts for themselves, especially the Nigerian youths regarding the outcome of the presidential election and the legal issues before the Electoral Petition Tribunal. True leadership in Nigeria does not depend on this type of external validation. Nigerians do not need this.

I have many problems with this list, first off it is mainly based off famous peoples friends or people they hold in high regard. A very controversial pick was Britney Griner, recommended by sue bird another basketball player. An "inspirational person" who spent time in a Russian prison for being caught with illegal narcotics. She was falsely accused but lots of more sportsmen and women have gone through much. LeBron James was fatherless because his dad as an ex convict and grew up poor in the slumps, now he is widely considered the goat and has done nothing but support charities, troubled youth and helping people in poverty, he even got the scoring record. Another terrible pick was Steve Lacy. He was recommend by a music producer, keeping in mind that he makes music and is mainly listened to buy hippie hoppity, basic teenage girls. Take his concerts bloopers for an example, and how NOBODY knew the rest of the song apart from "I wish I knew". There are a lot of bad picks. take your picks off the general public, not just celebs who put their friends in high regard. Next time make a better list. It might be hard, especially if your a multi billion dollar company and considered the most popular magazine company. Get your stuff sorted Time Magazine.

They have no provisions or intentions of broadening their membership base or uniting with the I.A.T.S.E. - the crew and craft guild’s umbrella organization, to strengthen labor negotiations for income stability, reasonable work hours, healthcare coverage, or fair overtime pay and work share for the crews and skilled labor who work 72 hour weeks without any double-time pay, and no employment or healthcare guarantees. Why? Because they are both Above the Line with studios and producers who need the wealth disparity of an unprotected working class to keep their profits and elite salaries high above the income gap.
