The look on Carlo's face when he heard Tony somehow blames Bobby for getting mugged and shows no concern was the last straw, I think that's when he decided to turn on Tony before Tony turned on him.
This is why Borko really is an amazing editor. These videos did such a good job showing how Bobby really did start out different than the other mobsters. Then, Tony draws him in and bullies him into becoming like everyone else until it eventually kills him. No different than Christopher really.
