- Going on 7 months with this big girl. About 10k miles or so. And no major complaints. As of 1-31-2022 I did have to replace a coil pack due to a broken connector socket. And that’s it!
Guys Ive got some fan mail to get to in the next couple days so stay tuned for a video on that. And thank you all for watching and here’s to more videos kicking off this new year a little late haha!
This generation Tahoe looks awesome after all these years.

I have a 05 Tahoe just like yours with 465 k miles. It has been one of the most dependable vehicles I've ever owned. 👍

05 Suburban Z71 4x4 360k miles will keep it forever. Also own an 07 Yukon 4x4 that i try to keep clean. The suburban is the workhorse.
Favorite generation of Tahoe.....
They have the lights set up to go to dim with the fogs so you don't blind ppl off the road. Great job on the Tahoe, wish I had your mechanical talent.
Truck looks great ... almost new with the new lamps! Jay... all you need is a small rattle can and touch up the top of the bumper cover where it's rubbed off paint. No biggie if the bottom seat cushion doesn't match the rest. Hey... it's got almost 300K! :-)

I had a 2005 Chevy Tahoe z71 but it was involved in a wreck in July of 2013! I miss that vehicle so much! It was a lost

Back then GM build those better than the new ones they built today. Today, they make them cheaper to cut costs using plastics where it shouldn't be plastic

GM did really good on the GMT800 platform, this one shows me why i really like them. Its not the 4 wheel peel edition but i still really like it
the seat control module under the seat has failed. thats why your memory settings still work but the controls wont work. the seat control module is under the bottom cushion. the belt squealing is prolly your AC Belt tensioner :)
Wow, you have done an excellent job with your mods. The Tahoe looks newer than a 2004 and the road salt did not show in your video. Thank you and Cody for sharing his Camary replacement. Good luck with the rest of your mods.

Love that gen tahoe escalade pickups all of them haha. And honestly always dug that color. Mayb memory sake so many people had that color! One nice ride though! And the sound of it is sick! We had a customer who had a newer body escalade with a blower on it! Awd supercharged and man it squatted and took the heck off and nice ls sound and blower whine! Would be a dream build!

Regarding the DVD player, when you get the module required for swapping out the radio, it retains the audio out on the DVD player, you can either route it back to the radio via the aux input or you can route it back to the console and mount you some headphone ports. You just loose the factory rear controls for the stereo. I have the same DVD player in mine. Have approximately zero use for it. 😂

I have a 06 Tahoe I've been redoing it has a fresh motor rebuild cold air intake bully dog tuner flow master exhaust I absolutely love it a few years back I had a 02 and when I sold it I was originally going to get a newer model but I fell in love with that body style and set up so I found my 06 and I'm completely redoing it everything mechanically is already done now I'm about to start on my interior and new sound system right now it has cloth seats Kenwood CD player and 2 12s I'm about to have it reupholstered in black leather and I'm putting four tens in it it also has 20 in Black American Force rims on 275 55 r20 pirelli tires

You can actually hook up your phone directly to the red and white audio ports of the DVD player you have your music play over the speakers. We have a 2004 Escalade and all that you need to do is have a red and white RCA to 3.5 mm headphone jack, turn on the DVD player, and then set the DVD audio to play over the speakers.

a little Deoxit on the temp knobs will take care of the sporadic temp fluctuations when adjusting.

I still like the look of those GM full size SUVs. The ones from the 90s were OK, but a little bit too square-ish. And the square bodies were OK too. Lookin good, Jay! 👍 And sounds good too!
I think the 90s Chevy truck/Tahoe/burban body style is the best looking and most timeless but these are really nice too

I got new seat skins for my '96 Diesel 'Burb. They didn't match the originals either but were really close. Got 378K on mine.

Cool Tahoe but yah idk why GM designed their high beams like that. It’s unhelpful if you need them and since GM is the only company that does that it looks like the vehicle has some electrical issues going on. Any other brand that’s what it would mean if the low beam lights shut off when you put on high beams.

The wire on your tow button probably broke at the base of the shifter. It is a really thin wire. Happen to mine.

Looks good.! My 03 avalanche has 340k on it. What throttle body have you had the best luck with on those 5.3s. I keep going into limp mode about every 6 months and they keep warranting it but I'm tired of changing it out.
