  • ACR PLB-375 (#2880) self test. Beacon transmits GPS coordinates for general location and also transmits on 121.5 Mhz (AM aviation band) for close range tracking.

    Finally , good information on how to test this unit and what to expect a good PLB test to show. I misplaced the manual that went came with my ResQLink The people at ARC were no help at all returning a email. Thank you for your help. Alan

    Why would you want this thing where more modern GPS based satellite options are available?

      The ACR PLB is GPS based. The 121.5MHz is for close in search. As far as I know all the ACR PLBs include the 121.5 function.

      PLBs are also free of subscription fees. They're more affordable than satellite messengers and they have a better satellite network.

      I’ve had mine for 8 years. No fee unless I want to message someone.
