You are definitely my new binge.
This is particularly eerie because it's so close to home. I live in KIngsland Road where Donna lived back in the '90s. I also work as a bar attendant at Regents Park Hotel, the local pub where Donna frequented. I was speaking to one of our local patrons at the pub only yesterday about this case which is what led me to search for this case. From what I was told, most of Donna's friends ( and including Keith's then girlfriend Debbie, who I'm friends with) believe to this day that the wrong person was convicted.
The Peter in the story you would of heard living with the Bond Brothers, is actually my Uncle. The sexual advances is something that was in character for Colin as he tried that on my mother as well with the Chinese meal to bring her in very similarly
R.I.P Donna Wheeler
I've been working backwards because of how your uploads pop up.
This narrator has called this one in.
Colin dead? Good.
Can someone tell me what Colin said in the interview? I couldn’t quite make it out. I’ve tried searching for it but can’t find it and it’s bothering me not knowing.
It sounded like another language. I listened to it about 4 times and had no clue what was said...
it sounded like a strong scots accent
Colin said he had bruises on his hand because it probably happened when he hurt/cut his hand gardening.
@@CammieInOz , Not that one was a recorded message interview played of Colin talking mumbling something.
He said, "I better get my barrister in." He was boxed into a corner and couldn't account for his movements.
Oh right, I get what you all mean. You mean the second interview. He sounds Glaswegian, and I think he's also drunk. it sounds to me like: 'All right brother. I'll give you the answer, right. Something like this is so embarrassing.'
Colin died in 2005 I believe from a fall in prison was 56…….wish that google photos of him I couldn’t find any ..
why'd he do it?
He had a previous manslaughter conviction of a woman who rejected his sexual advances.
Colin's interview: in that interview he went back to his evening with Donna. In it he added in that he had two bottles of ?Tuey's beer? (Can't quite get the name of the brand. it must be Australian) and Donna had a can of vodka, and these had been found at the scene by police. All the rest is intelligible. I do agree our host is talking a bit faster on this episode than on the others.
The beer's called "Tooheys" (but you were close Ada!) ;-)
This guy talks way too fast.
He's easily understandable, you just need to get accustomed to different accents
kaydee kay no he doesn’t. It’s very clear
i am american. i listen to podcasts on 1.5 speed b/c they all talk too slow. but casefile, i listen to him on regular speed b/c he does talk fast. if it's still too fast for you, maybe switch to .5 speed? but i find that way too slow. too bad there's not a .75 speed. lol. also, the accent was a little hard at first but now i totally understand him. the pronunciation i find the oddest/different from american english is when he states years... the "19" is funny ha ha especially when the year is 1999 ;)
@@ChessieChess I live in the US and English is not my first language. I can understand him clearly accent and all. He has a great voice for this kind of story telling
