Went to the same sniper school as the one in the first Lethal Weapon (director's cut).
Burgess did tell him to drop the weapon he refused so she dropped him instead.

More patrol that are main characters like the beginning.
We be losing too many people on this show. Some for unfair reasons. They need to add more characters on this show. Maybe create a spin-off show that focuses on patrol officers like ABC’s The rookie

nah, not a sniper. a real sniper, even in an urban setting, would have been MUCH harder to spot.
For a start, would have back in the room so you can't see the muzzle of damn rifle before he opens up, yeah.
Plus, the obvious fact that the shooter had either a smg and not an actual sniper rifle or hunting rifle.

Can't get over how the platform advantage *and* the element of surprise still can't overcome the "armor of the plot".
Dude literally had a burst fire rifle throwing, what, .556? Jumped everyone in broad daylight and only managed to hit some old lady by accident.
Things would be a little more believable if, just once in awhile, they caught a round in the vest or a nice graze across the skull, or a hole in the non-dominant forearm.
Something to suggest the bad guy isn't always firing blanks.
5.56 mm. Just because he has an M-4 or equivalent and an elevation advantage doesn't automatically mean he will hit his targets. He was pretty much praying and spraying. If he had hidden himself better and waited for a good shot, he would have gotten at least one, if not both due to surprise. Cool weapons don't replace training and tactics.
