- Rhode Island State Police troopers describe their jobs as a way of life. They are proud of their professionalism, the depth of their capability and the integrity by which they uphold their oath 24 hours a day. From the RISP training academy, to community outreach, special units such as cyber-crime , canine and swat teams -- the modern State Trooper’s job has kept up with the tools and technology of 21st century crime-fighting. The RISP is held in high regard in part because they hold each other to a very high standard, with integrity, pride, and the mission to make a difference.

Nazi style?? In 1925 this was the typical motorcycle, horse, police uniform. It was copied from the RCMP, except the cadet color. RISP wore cross draw holsters with long fancy lanyards and six shot SW magnum revolvers. this was the mounted police uniform of the time. It has noting to do with Nazi's . I'm guessing you are young and have no grip on reality or history. That spells millennial. The RISP are highly respected and thought of by Rhode Islanders. We have 39 cities and towns and 38 police departments, a small number of RISP troopers on the road and the RI Sheriffs Department. I don't know if you are a Rhode Islander but I am. RI just doesn't have a lot of cop haters like you................

Are training procedures systematically varied on occasion in order to determine whether one approach to some aspect of training is likely to be more effective than another insofar as on the job performance is concerned? Any studies that reveal that performance during training is related to success on the job?
we try to but it's not clear you have to go back to the source,and when one see what's really going on and who's responsible,it can become an uneasy situation...God bless...
