Car is 1.4m. Ed offers 50k. They meet in the middle at 50k
The Technicals this made my day. Only comment that said exactly what I was thinking! Thank you 😩
He got it for a steal because it's a floodron.
“low ball”
Ed: i hot 50k!
Bugatti: Shut up i'll take your money!
Shrude negotiater
Greetings Mr. CEO of Bugatti, this is high school aged Ed, commence shrewd negotiation for an allocation of your new car.
This oddly seems like something Ed would say
Anyone who buys a bugatti has no true taste of cars. Bugatti is nothing more than a fashion statement, it serves no function. It sucks basically. Terrible around a track. Who tf will max that out on a public road? So where's the fun in that if can't handle like a sports car? It lacks engineering also. 16 cylinders?? With a little over 1000 hp? When V12s are pushing that.. I could go on. Bugatti suck
EvaFrass@me..y pree you know, theres other models of that brand, right?
Maybe you wasn't born when it came out :D
sync8998 well... Most of us weren't alive in the prime Bugatti days.
Getting an allocation for a million and a half dollar car of which they only made 300 as a 17 year old high school student? Sounds like that required the shrewdest of negotiating.
RandoCrypto It would have been a lot easier in the early 2000's when you couldn't google someone and call them on their BS as easily
The shrewdest of fucking bullshit
I like this ed guy but he is a world class bullshit artist. I feel sorry for people who cant see that.
I can spend the time to go through some videos and point out specifics if someone disagrees. One that comes to mind other than a 17 yearold securing a million dollar bugatti is the story of the test drive from hell. He says this guy almost rearends a cop and then blows by him and accelerates to over 100mph while swirving in and out of traffic. He says when they pass the cop he screams "arrest this guy!!!" Then he says they get back to the dealership and the guy calmly says "no thanks, i dont think I'm gonna buy today".
You just said the guy snapped and was driving with a death wish while you screamed at a cop "arrest this guy!!" Then you get back to the lot and calmly go in opposite directions.
This guy is obviously a talented salesmen but if you cant see the clear signs of a bullshit artist then you have ZERO street smarts.
David Riley He’s just that rich kid with a business man father that knows people so he can pretty much get out of any trouble and his life is like a million times easier than everyone
@@VinnieSuhfatwop he's a salesman (sounds to be a pretty successful one) in what could be one of the top 10 most expensive, frivolous products you can find, he's going to be a bullshit artist to the highest degree and that probably is a natural part of his personality but I'm sure he also spent many hours perfecting it. Are there people watching these videos that do not understand this? Absolutely. Does it make the stories any less entertaining? Not at all Haha
Ed is a top class finesser.
Mehdi Mohamed or snake oil salesman.....lmao.
Top class bullshitter
The GOAT
Was that ED pretending to own a exotic car rental business, with his hat on backwards???
When I was 17, I bought my first car, a 2000 Honda Civic hatchback with a 5 speed, after saving my money for months.
When Ed was 17, he was negotiating a deal with the CEO of Bugatti and breeding exotic lizards.
It's really easy to lie on the internet.
I don’t want to damage a customers car and ruin any future deals. So I stepped on the gas and took the Bugatti to 175mph...
To be fair, taking a Veyron to 175 is kinda like taking a Mustang GT to 95mph. Very easy, quick to get there, and no drama.
That’s tick over speed in the veyron
atfsgeoff pretty sure that running over a crowd is considered “drama”. 😂
@@williswhatchutalkinbout4367 Hahahaha
@@JonnyLee Mustangs are crowd killers 😂😂😂😂
Is Ed an actual, real, human being?
I mean negotiating at 17 years old a 1.2 million dollar car deal with the CEO of BUGATTI and the selling the reservation!
Must've had a great dad who taught him real shit!
Horacio Pagani made an F1 car and walked straight into Renault with the car and asked for a sponsorship and engine. He got it. A nobody developed a F1 car with the top dog at the time and had Renault power and race it.
A Porumb I really don’t understand it
dylan_mx_bmx you should probably go back to watching Barney The Dinosaur videos if you can’t understand that comment.
@@SonnyGTA you should go back to school if you interpreted that as him not understanding the comment
Wanted a Porsche since I was 5 years old. Been dreaming of it ever since. Never even sat in a Porsche before. I'm 54 now and bought a 2011 Cayman S a few months ago. It's been a thousand times better than I ever dared imagine!
My uncle had one I gotta say for such a cheap Porsche they're great
Ed must have had balls of steel to be a 17 yr old kid reserving a $1.2M Veyron without having actual money (at the that time) to buy it. LOL. ;)
Oliver Vigilia it's call finessing or hustling if you didn't know
Patrick Martin it's called shrewd negotiating.
It is pretty much exactly how Carroll Shelby started out. Called AC in UK and told em he wanted the 50 cars with no engines they had, cause Ford had engines for him for them (they did not). They said "erh sure" because Ford was big and he was a racing driver so it was believable. Then he called Ford and said he had those 50 AC cars, but needed 50 racing engines and they agreed and voila, the 1964-5 Shelby Cobras were born. Then followed by the Shelby Daytonas and the GT40s.
barath4545 never heard this story before thanks Ford guy...😁
YW, it was confirmed multiple places I saw it, think Jay Leno covered it too at some point.
You don't have to be a Ford guy to know the Le Mans history. It transcend much of American racing history and heritage.
This is silly, but I'm the landlord of the buildings seen in the background at 8:51. Make me happy to see it on a channel I watch every day! Both me and the architect of that building watch this channel. Thanks for the unintentional shout out Ed!
Very cool.
Internet makes the world so small. Id be happy too.
So weird this channel is not well over 1M subscribers, best kept secret on CZcams.
You may have had a stroke sir get to a doctor.
When I first saw this channel in my recommended feed, I thought it was some generic clickbait auto-media type thing. 10+ minute videos, outlandish titles, and crazy thumbnails.
I quickly discovered that this is one of few channels that actually delivers! I don't think I've ever clicked away from one of their videos without finishing it. I also LOVE how they often reference other stories you can find on the channel.
Right! Like each of the videos I watch I don't understand how most have
I remember seeing the first video they ever put out when it first came out. I knew this channel would explode.
I just found it a couple days ago and you are 100% correct.
I’ve been binge watching this series for the past 24 hrs
For me it’s been the past 48 and it’s been incredibly addicting
24hrs LeEd
I could listen to Ed all damn day
His story telling is impeccable
yeah but i think he'd fuck himself for the rest of his life if he could clone himself
I trust Ed’s judgement on the Bugatti. If Ed gave me a recommendation for an electric toothbrush I’d immediately buy a lifetime supply and never go back.
A beast... a beast like no other..... O shit I just scuffed the rims
This is actually the same Veyron from the valet story. That was the original owner, the person who let me drive this one was the second owner.
Ed Bolian that’s great hahahah
Wow lol
The world certainly isn't that big when talking about Veyron owners :D
Ed Bolian You're absolutely great a story telling
Well you were a genius at 17
Look out tomorrow for livestreams from the 2018 Cannonball Memorial Run. Have a great Wednesday!
great!!!
Drive safe (as possible) and have fun man!
I can't wait!
I will be their lol... Would like to see a nsx story always wanted to know more about the car 😉
Is this the guy who owned the 50th anniversario in the blue along with the blue 918 dodger
wait what you got an allocation for an actual bloody Veyron at 17
Joshua D'Oliveiro and porsche cries like a bitch if you want a premium ass 911.
Yeah it cannot be that simple. You cannot just call Bugatti and get an allocation for a million-dollar car. They want to see a bank draft with a letter of intent at the very least, if not a sizable deposit.
Momma and daddy have to have some serious money and connections 😳
I can see it as Bugatti had trouble selling the car early on and this is way before launch, so I would see them entertaining any offers.
@@Dr.TJ_Eckleburg It can be. What do you expect? Bugatti was just coming out with their Veyron back then. Volkswagen just bought a french car company. People were interested, yeah, but not many would invest over 1 million dollars into a car just like that. It didn't have the fame it has today. No one expected the car to achieve what it achieved over these years. No one expected it to be the holy grail of the car community. It was before all the hype.
I heard there's a used one going for a very good price.
Apparently it has some flood damage though, driven into a lake or something.
Pickchore hhahahahao
I liked the commercial grade analogy. it's a good way to put it.
Ed, we’ve known each other for years. I’m going to say this as clear as I can... I absolutely LOVE the Veyron. I’ve driven 10+ Veyrons in my life and ridden in a few. I’ve spent my fair share of time with them.
I remember seeing the Countach on posters, and then I remember my first time driving one... LOL. It made me not want one at all.
The Veyron on the other hand... it’s pretty much exactly what I would want. The car impressed me. The gearbox/body style updates as the years went on became more attractive to me... 06 vs 2010 was a huge difference, but I love them.
It’s pretty cliche that everybody says “I want a GTR” or “I want a Bugatti Veyron”. Well, I want a Veyron haha. The sound. The luxury. The power. The looks. It could always sound better, but it’s overall just such a cool car. I want one still, but a Supersport.
Great video.
Thanks for the story Ed. Just driving one would of been satisfying enough for me. Owning one seems like a nightmare
Just read the part in your book about the allocation for the Veyron... definitely enjoyed hearing it as well. What a cool opportunity to drive one! I'd like to just see one some day to get that up close view. Same with a Koenigsegg. Cheers Ed.
Does he write as well as he speaks?
Yes, the writing is quite good... you can almost hear Ed narrating it within your head.
What's the book called?
For the Record: 28:50 a Journey Toward Self-Discovery and the Cannonball Run Record
He has a book? Where can I get it what's the name
Is Kimmy out of jail yet to tell the Gallardo story from her perspective?
Details?

That is pretty damn early

I was early once, I didn't comment..
No one cares how early you are
I always love listening to Ed's stories. His voice, timbre, and general sense of shenanigans just makes his stories that much better
"Make myself want"... Another effortlessly profound statement from Ed. That's awesome, we do have power over our desires.
this guy can talk forever
Rookie numbers. I am the epitome of not being quiet.
"The Countach is A miserable experience". Truer words have never been spoken. Good Job Ed. Worst exotic I've ever driven.
Bought my dream car, an 86
It is still my hero to this day, forever
Any pics?
which one?
have fun with that junker lol
An 86 what?
Toyota AE86 i guess
I cant imagine a better CZcams video to start my day
Thank you! Have a great day.
Ed Bolian i love you ed
Jason Wingate 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well put. I am glad it lived up to the hype.
Brett Bilger I saw a Chiron and a veyron for the first time at a car show a few months ago. It does live up to the hype
I would love to see a Bugatti Veyron or Chiron and a Koenigsegg Agera or Regera someday. Even through pictures and videos they have more road presence and sense of occasion than any other automobiles ever built.
Ed's voice is so amazing i could listen to him read the phone book.
"Goodness gracious what a powerful beast of a thing this was" is quite possibly the best line out of any story I've ever heard told..lol
love hearing these stories from all you guys. i can plainly tell your passionate about what you do, it comes across in your describing events in stories. you got another subscriber after this story.
First Watch, cold open..., I subscribed.
As one Salesman to Another, My Man, you really are a Genius!!!
You make Unobtainium seem.... Obtainable!!!!
Thank You.
Ive seen a chiron and a veyron in person at cars & coffee...seeing those in person is beyond seeing any lambo, i have short videos on my channel if anyone wants to see them
Nando eh I'd rather see a Agera RS or centenario over any Bugatti
You got to hand it to VAG for producing something this amazing just because they could.
I remember when I was 7 years old 3 of these showed up at my local cars & coffee. Now, my local cars and coffee was in a nicer part of Southern California so super cars were pretty frequent visitors, but 3 Veyrons was blew my 7 year old mind. I had never even seen a Veyron before, let alone 3 all parked next to each other. It was amazing. I really wish I had photos but I was seven so obviously I didn't have a phone or camera. That was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen and probably is one of the most amazing things I ever will see.
Amazing story, amazingy well told. You and the whole channel just keep on getting better, even though I thought that'd be impossible!
This makes me appreciate the veyrons contribution to automotive history
I remember seeing that exact veyron at Cars and Coffee of Nashville it was absolutely fantastic!
I can't believe I've only just come across this content, its fantastic viewing and this man is an obscene fountain of knowledge.
How can anybody be so interesting
I could listen to Ed's stories all day
Ed, I can attest to using the deep voice and calm demeanor to seem older (especially in the late teenage years). I'm 18 and even some of my co-workers thought I was 23 until I told them my age. (Those over the phone guess even higher)
Ed has the best stories
Thanks, Ed. It’s a very interesting experience you walked us through and it certainly makes a lot of sense to think of what owning some of these cars is like. To me, it’s so far from what I would even consider that it might as well be a spaceship (at least the Veyron is to me). I guess for me once you start talking about vehicles that cost north of half a nice house or more I would probably lean more toward aircraft as it’s the true “get up and out of dealing with drivers completely” thing. I always loved road trips but they CAN, depending on where you’re going be more of a pain than they’re worth although I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing what driving in Europe or elsewhere is like. Anyway, keep it up; I love the stories and what you’ve created certainly adds a new angle to the car lifestyle in all its colors. Cheers!
Anyone else fall into a Vinwiki internet rabbit hole? - I think this is the only channel that I will just BINGE vids - Ed is the man! I love his stories! Thanks Ed for being you!
One of Floyd Mayweather's old Veyrons (White with red accents) showed up at a cars and coffee meet in Columbus, OH last Saturday. It was the first Veyron I've seen in real life and it was absolutely stunning. Shame it only stayed for a few minutes.
It can be nerve wrecking to leave a car like that parked for long.
There is videos of that veyron in a undergrad parking lot seems sketch lol
That was parked last year here in Gilbert AZ, my friend spit on the steering wheel 🤷🏻♂️
I WAS THERE, and i also saw the Aston in your profile pic at rally for the ranch
Fatass carter if true, your friend is a piece of shit and you should reevaluate your association with them.
Its fairly true from my experience, most are fun to have but the super good ones are rarity fun to daily.
This video is one of the most impressive things I’ve seen or heard. I might even say inspirational for the young and old.
Thanks for your story Ed, I've seen multiple Veyrons in person a few times now in different countries. Your perspective on how it drives was really interesting.
Yasssssss. I have been looking forward to a VINwiki Veyron story since the McLaren F1 video, so since the beginning.
I remember seeing Jeremy Clarkson race the Veyron from Italy to London and I’ve wanted one since I’ve seen it. Probably won’t ever be able to get one but it looks so cool!
I love your story telling, it is just so elegant, yet simple
Glad it lived up to your expectations. I am not a fan of the styling, but their performance is pretty amazing.
How do I enquire about telling the story of riding a Vespa scooter from Richmond to Savannah then onto San Diego in 10 days then ending up in the ICU with an MRSA infection.
Or the 10 "Ironbutt" rides ( 1000 miles in 24 hours ) I've completed on scooters of 300cc or less ?
Who do I ask at VINwiki ?
Sounds like you have a pile of interesting stories

I completely get where your coming from Ed, the Veyron was and still is my hero car. I was lucky enough to spend some time with one in 2015 (ironically it was also black over red) although I wasn't allowed to drive it just being in the presence of one for a few hours it was like all my birthdays and Christmas had came at once, the moral of the story is ALWAYS meet your hero's if you get the chance!
I remember exactly where i was and who i was with and what i was wearing when i saw my first and only veyron driving in the wild

Well I never have been a really big fan of the veyron, although that I really think it would be something important in the history of cars, but you made me to asses it a little more, and I have no doubt that driving one is an experience to behold, Im really glad for you to have achieved that experience!
You're a good talker. Fast. It's hard to believe it's impromptu.
Why is Ed so entertaining? Love these XD
I think it's his mannerisms / the people he grew up around had to have came from money or something because his mannerisms and the way he speaks
