I agree with everything you say, I have cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus and use a powerchair. The electrical features make a world of difference to me and I am looking into what seating will be suitable. Good explanation of seating. I find air great for pressure relief.

cpchick81 Same I use a power chair. I find my air cushion (Roho) the best thing in the world!

That wheelchair is useful for people like myself but it certainly isn’t a “smart” wheelchair - far from it.
I have the exact same one (Invacare Spectra XTR2) and it’s only function other than moving is tilting. It’s a real pain to use the controller and I’ve shot forwards very dangerously at speed unexpectedly lots of times, damaging furniture by using the wrong setting.
There are actual computer screen controllers now that are way better and do more however I’m pretty confident they aren’t “smart” but they are easier to understand more user friendly.
Is PMLD the actual diagnosis? Or is it just an umbrella term that encompasses all of the things that a person with PMLD is living with?
Trying to learn more about it.
