As a brown girl living in America, its really hard to stick to your roots as a Desi, and to resist the urge to straighten my hair to “fit in” or do your makeup a certain way. Especially for me, as the only brown girl in my friend group, I find myself losing touch with where I’m from all too often. Thanks for being relatable and there to remind us that every one of us is beautiful in our own unique way. As someone who also has divorced parents, I indeed have a lot of trauma from it. I remember being 3 years old, not understanding anything that was going on. I didn’t understand the constant yelling or going back and forth between my parents, or why we had to move at all. I would constantly have anxiety attacks and throw up because of it. It just makes me feel so heard that someone else has gone through the same thing as me. I love your channel so much, Monica. How it looks exactly same like one with your perfect match for foundation. I remember you said when you're following influencer for makeup makes sure you follow someone who'll near your tone so it'll be helpful as you explain by colour theory by lipstick.
