i remember buying this CD and when i put it into my PS2 to listen to it, turns out it has this video hidden on it! blew my mind. i miss hidden stuff on CD's.
OMG I’m even too old to buy CDs. I saw this nigga live, I got vinyl records of him and only now I saw him on video. And the clip is as sick as his whole music, I just love it!!! (And sorry for dropping the N-bomb, but my black fellas call me that all the time so WTF? 🙃)
Rahzel is to beatboxing what Rakim is to rap. The dude that changed it all...but never changed himself. And even though he coulda been more famous and made more money if he sold out and popped...I think if you ask him, he prefers it this way. One of the GOATS.
Yep I was 13. I became a big hip hop head at a very young age, first rap song I remember seeing on tv was gangstas paradise by coolio. I'm sure I seen more before that but just don't remember the early 90s. I turned 5 in 1990.
Met his guy touring UK back in the day, sound geezar, some back stage chills and a signed CD/poster etc...was a geek out at the time..back when hiphop was hiphop talent.
There would be no Drake if it wasn't for this stuff! The 90s where the Golden Age of a rap where people wrapped about stuff instead of money and booty shaking
I will never forget the days when this Video plus Make The Music was on Rap City when Big Tigger was the host of the show way before it ended!! I WILL NEVER FORGET!!
This brings me back to the Rap City days... this hook is something that has kinda stuck in my head for my whole life. Anytime I hear someone say the phrase "all I Know", I still think of this.
I first heard of Rahzel when I was 15 smoking blunts at Bill's house at lunch and listening to Man Vs Machine and If Your Mother Only Knew just tripping the Phuck out. After that I started to become a Beat Wizerd!!!! PEACE SHOUT OUT TO RAHZEL!
All I know is I remember the first time I heard him was when he opened for the roots at a small concert venue in Montréal in like 2000? Maybe? I was blown away and I'm a fan ever since
Always loved ❤this song!!! One of the most Hip Hop , Hip Hop songs of all time! Don’t sleep 🛌! Shout out to the video director and creator!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Super great ideas 💡 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾✊🏾😮 Thank you!
This was my official first hip-hop purchase in the 5th grade. It was an enhanced CD and played this music video on my computer. I loved both this song and this video. Good mofuggin times
Heard this on the radio like, once back in 99 and it's been stuck in my head since. It pops up sometimes and for the longest time whenever it did, I was like I should look for this guy, but never actually knew how it was spelt. But today, on facebook of all places he did a freestyle and I was like that name looks familiar. And I found the song that's been in one of those places in my memory like a terrible itch. Only took 24 years. 😂😂
Such a shame Rahzel didn't do more music when beatboxing blew up worldwide. If he had the right team, they would have had him on shows getting interviewed, releasing a couple of albums, music videos, getting features and featured with other big rappers, etc. Marketing can go a long way in helping someone's career. Sure he got a bit famous and does shows but that's small compared to other people who got famous from beatboxing around 2006 or so and beyond, especially on CZcams where people made big channels to make enough money to live off of it.
This came out when I was 8 and the ending when he was an old man made me realize I was going to die one day, and I became terrified of getting old. Cried in class the next day. Still not fully over it if I'm being honest. Anyway, underrated track.
i remember buying this CD and when i put it into my PS2 to listen to it, turns out it has this video hidden on it! blew my mind. i miss hidden stuff on CD's.
Those days are past unless you go back to buying cd's
@@no_guarantees really?!?!?! No wayyyy
So, you are entitled to pension benefits
There is so muuch hidden shit on tapes/cd's over the years it's crazy.
NBA Live 2000, those were the days.
My wife and I were talking and she said, "All I know" and this song popped into my head. 😂 I haven't heard this song in like 15 years.
my wife had man vs machine on her old ipod, an di said you know "all i know" is his better song, she had never even heard it
your wife sounds like the truth, lol
Lol it just popped in my head too. I haven't heard this for nearly two decades. Crazy. The words all I know just came to my mind and here I am
Love free association. Using 10 percent plus.
LOL...I was just listening to and looking at the Roots Next Movement on here and saw Rahzel, this song came to mind
I don't understand why a talent guy like this guy was never been recognized with all his talent.
Rahzel is to beatboxing what Rakim is to rap.
The dude that changed it all...but never changed himself. And even though he coulda been more famous and made more money if he sold out and popped...I think if you ask him, he prefers it this way.
One of the GOATS.

He's not mumbling and no autotune. God bless all Pre-Drake hiphop
There would be no Drake if it wasn't for this stuff! The 90s where the Golden Age of a rap where people wrapped about stuff instead of money and booty shaking
@@seamus3562 Exactly. Without food, it wouldnt be no shit...
Drake doesn't mumble in his raps, though. You make no sense.
Drake is a mainstream tool. He may have talent but he's sold out like the rest. Fuh-kk the mainstream. We rep the underground scene only.
Original Roots Crew.
I remember having a burned copy of this CD and showing every kid that i knew the "if your mother only knew" track and blowing everyones minds lol
