  • International medical charity Doctors Without Borders - MSF has been calling on the Cameroonian government to lift the ban on providing free, essential medical care in the restive Anglophone North-West region of the country after they were blocked more than six months ago. The government had accused MSF of being too close to separatists in the area. The conflict between Franco-phone and Anglo-phone Cameroon has seen more than 3,000 people killed since 2017. Ambazonia also commonly referred to as Amba Land, is a self-declared state of Southern Cameroon's, the English-speaking part of the country. Daney Yerinma speaks to Peter Ndoro.

    Why must they fight over foreign language and alignment to erstwhile colonisers?

    • @JudehEmpire
      @JudehEmpire Před 2 lety +1

      They are not fighting over a language but over a territory of two seperate entities. French Cameroun had independence on 1st January 1960 without English Cameroonians. In 1961 French Cameroun decided to invade English Cameroon and falsified a referendum results claiming English Cameroonians have decided to join French Cameroun.

    Kenneth Msimelelo you have not understood the problem The problem is la republique du Cameroun has left their country in central Africa and invaded a west African country which speaks English The French speaking larepublique du Cameroun is supported by France Do we encourage an independent country to colonize another independent country?
