- In this ECO Game, it is explained how to use the Skid Steer and Excavator, provide several hints and tips, and which one is best for what kind of work. In the ECO Game you can buy and operate the Skid Steer and Excavator as part of gameplay, but exactly how to use it best and not be frustrated may require it to be explained on how to use it, and what to do with it. These machines are top tier items in the ECO Game, but eventually everyone gets one, and they become the standard for how to move dirt and rocks!

I’d like to see a video about waste management like how to plan for the future to deal with the loads of waste that will end up being created !! I am a miner using the pit mining method from your earlier video so I left lvls of stockpiles to deal with all the waste so far. Works well so far in my desert biom!
You can see what se did on our server in the Episode 8 - Government Incentives, but I'm holding off a little bit on tailings-type pollution until a coming update where actual "containment" will be more of a thing. Good question!

Have my own solo world, doing great so far. Made a 16x16 mineshaft with slopes in a spiral going down. Can't wait to use the Skid Steer later when I reach that point!
Ah!! The 'ol spiral shaft method! Potentially, you could also consider incorporating an Industrial Elevator into things - it can carry several vehicles at once like a Skid Steer and Truck. That elevator used to have little glitchy things happening with it stalling, but I think they fixed that, and there are a couple work-arounds to get it to run smooth if it does stall. Solo world is a great start to get the game basics - you'll be ready for a multi-player server with economics, stores, and government before long! :D Love to hear these little stories!!

You can drop the skid steer down a level quicker and easier by just digging 3 squares out to fit the bucket and then driving into the hole with the bucket down.

I think the most versatile of the two is the Skid Steer. Both will mine the same material, and for pure volume the excavator is king, but the skid steer's smaller size and maneuverability just gives it the most use cases in my opinion.

tips for skid steer: the default control are quite bad, by changing the mouse wheel part, i'm able to dig twice as fast
I've watched your playlist and it's made me wanna buy eco even more but I'll be solo as my gaming group aren't interested. How is the game in general when a single person joins a lobby?
If you mean when a single person joins an existing server, it's what the game is for! :)
I have to admit, the skidsteer sucks at filling/placing blocks, just put it in a truck, then take a stack fo 10 by hand and you are 5x faster
I love using the excavator to fill in gullies and holes.
Makes you hardly want to ever lift a shovel again, doesn't it? :D

No meteor on this server - long term server with focus on economic balance.
The skidsteer on my game won't brake when I tell it to. It keeps acceling for at least 3 seconds after I let off
That's odd - maybe lag? Mine does keep traveling/coasting for a bit before stopping, but doesn't accelerate. Hopefully that's not happening all the time for you! :)

The server was just down for normal maintenance - I also heard that the server (not game) upgrade was coming from the provider. So there are times when it's goes offline.
Did the Egyptians have an Excavator when they built the pyramids???
Did the Germans have a Skid Steer when they bombed Pearl Harbor???
