Mr youtube man, how about the same idea with gas, but with magnetic and melee vortex for grouping and overlapping gas clouds, good thing, you can have gas and magnetic at the same time

at the time it was also pure heat so you could make it pure elemental, then later they added ips to it for no real reason with the melee buffs they did Sadge

It took me until the end of the video to understand what the augment does. It's just that one archon set mod, teleports to nearest enemy on heavy attack. The wording on rift strike is just different.
Archon mod is a significantly shorter teleport and came after the basolks.
because of melee influence and gas, i actually say not using range because of that 0.5 followthrough really hurts what gets spread, so the inital target is what you want the inital spread

I can't think of another frame who can turn a 5% crit weapon with massive base status in to a 500+% crit weapon with massive base status, with a single press of a button

500+% crit still go brrr on these, besides that massive base status and the heat goes very well with gas-electric Melee Influence build. I just like this weapon.

Man you and I have the same mindset, I was wanting to figure out how to make these things work for a while but gave up. Totally forgot to revisit the idea whenever the melee arcades and tennokai came out
I would kill for you to do a short serise on making the best use of weapon augments. They're, imo, the single most fun part of warframe
I feel like, in this instance, rather than outsourcing attack speed, it'd be preferable to outsource _base damage._
Chroma can easily do upwards of 800% base damage, for example. Meanwhile most sources of outsourcing melee speed have to deal with both struggling to reach over 200% base speed (Berserker Fury already hits 175% on its own) and have to contend with the fact that melee attack animation speeds have an upper limit on how fast they can go.
Additionally, Weeping Wounds adds something to the effect of +175%-ish final status chance onto the already bonkers 40% status chance. Three 60/60 mods is adding, at most, another 70-ish to that? Meanwhile you'd probably get a lot out of putting in the full electric mod to increase the potency of the electric DoT. If you sacrificed the 60/60 for the full electric mod, you'd still have 264% final status chance.
Alas, gas can only scale off of modded base damage unlike other DoTs, so, Chroma.
you got me into testing suff and had an odd idea by using Proboscis Cernos with viral and electricity on Gyre with her passive and i get consistent orange crits with a sprinle of red crits because both the tendrils and the explosiom proc status meaning 5-10 instant electric procs on even small groups, works amazing against most enemies
Honestly I really want the ability to teleport to my enemies with a heavy attack but I just don't have the will to make 2 weapons just to make this.
To those who want a good alternative just use the Amar mod set. Sure each mod can only extend your TP by 10 meters (Up to 20m... 30m if you are using a dual daggers) but you can use any melee weapon with the Amar set... just avoid using nikanas aside from the Nikana you get from Duviri because the Nikana heavy attack is clunky with the teleport mechanic.
My favorite is the redeemer prime with the Amar set because the feeling of suddenly teleporting to my enemy's face and peppering their faces with tabasco and antrax laced lead is so satisfying. Is it META? Who cares! It's fun, and that's all that matters to me
Edit: If you are playing Spy missions and you see the vaults where you can see the enemy through glass, you can heavy attack them to teleport through the glass

I made a jank build for this to give me 112 Crit chance on heavy attacks and I pair it with melee duplicate. The build and overall feel to use it will get way better once I get a decently ranked arcane avenger.
Ah man, these are one of my favorite workhorse weapons. I run them with Healing Return on frames that don't have much in the way of healing because the easy 100%+ status allows you to top off your health with just a few swings.

The amars anguish exilus mod is one of my favorite things in the game, basically get a small version of rift strike on every melee and while getting great use out of an exilus slot
Stick it on your heavy-attack melee of choice and run Nyx with her Assimilate augment if you want a Steel Path solo-viable Nyx build :)
I hope DE does implement the Blast changes they've been teasing a bit, just imagine Melee Influence with MonHun style Blast effects.

i just leveled the proboscis cernos for the affinity and love it. i think it would make for a good video.
i tried out this build on a solo steel path conjunction survival and wow this thing nukes. i used harrow with pillage to fix the only two issues it has, its difficulty getting through armor and the attack speed

As someone running Gas + Elec status build on the Plague Kripath (Viral Zaw) head as a Polearm I know how good this is gonna be.
But just for those that want to know why, you can include Boreal's Contempt to push that Status damage up by 60% for a little extra kick.
Build ain't perfect but it work fine for me in SP Survival.
Mr. CZcams Man! You should try this gas/elec + melee influence build on the Telos Boltace! Since it's amazing slide attack has a forced Lift status on the second it can do that crazy thing with elec procs hitting all the parts of the enemies at once. The first slide, which produces a vortex, pulls them in, so it groups them. Obviously that's nice with the AoE status. Extra fun on Nezha, pulling them onto Firewalker. I highly recommend it. Nice forced bleed in the tonfa heavy attacks, too.
Speaking of gas electric builds I really like doing that on a tennokai syam build, quite fun
Those are actually my go to weapon with Ember
Should keep the Heat damage and use CO with primer
Only downside, you can’t use Influence with this build but animosity, exposure or if you‘re insane even vortex work pretty well and the damage output is higher
Especially animosity with Tenno Kai rift strike is too much fun
Influence is already kind of your range, so putting on primed fury or something would probably be better imo. And if you're only using heavys with tennkkai they already have max wind up speed iirc so you could also swap killing blow for a bane or swap that for attack speed.

It is kinda funny how Rift strike has been in the game for many many years and I thought it was completely forgotten (even by me) because Amar mods set bonus is the same thing. For all of the melee weapons, even gunblades. Yes, why teleport right in front of an enemy to slice them with a sword when you can teleport in front of them and shoot their face with a shotgun.

Ohhhhh my main melee weapon on my wisp, i have wrathful advance and got this baby with a riven and deals 150k-600k dmg per hit all red insane weapon.
I miss when it did automatic finishers with banshee
If you like teleports you can always try Amar set.
I have a tasty riven for this that used to make it my best stat stick for Khora. Nowadays that's out the window thanks to incarnons, but it's still a nice Riven. Unfortunately, as I was going for crits on Khora, it's got like 300% CC and melee damage, which is not exactly the best for the weapon itself with its low base CC.
I've been trying to make it work, but it hasn't performed quite to my liking. Maybe after the armor changes...

Why no condition overload?
That mod has the most confusing wording ever. How many tenno have used it with Limbo thinking it’ll hit enemy outside the rift while being inside the rift? It should just say teleport, like Amar’s Anguish or something.
Pair it with rauta and dex arcana for the combo if you wanna go for a Full Heavy attack setup.
