Another success of him: In his early days as a Dortmund coach he wanted Dortmund to buy a striker from Lech Posen (a team from Polnish Ekstraklasa) for 200,000 Euros. At that time everybody thought he was crazy because Klopp insisted on having the guy in his team. Having always had a good relationship with the bosses, Dortmund fulfilled his wish but they were quite sceptical if that young Polish striker would be good enough to serve as a substitute. Well: The name of the guy Klopp bought is Robert Lewandowski. You may have heard of him.

What they didnt mention in the vid: Klopp was a commentator in german TV for several years for the international tournaments and his analysing was both precise and fresh and he was so enthusiastic, it was a lot of fun to watch him. For sure he was making people watch games because you just enjoyed him giving his opinion on a match.
Personally, I am a Dortmund fan but since he's gone it's different. The Wahre Liebe! -True Love! slogan is just a marketing thing now. Every new coach and player is introduced with much pomp and a year later they're maybe gone.

You forgot one of his great successes: He gained promotion with Mainz which is the club where he used to play himself from 2nd division to Bundesliga. After the last matchday Mainz and their rivals Cottbus had the same amount of points but Mainz had scored 7 goals more. Considering the fact that Mainz before the start of the season was not among the favourites for promotion and that Mainz managed it to leave then stronger teams like Duisburg, Cottbus and Oberhausen behind them this was quite an achievement.

@Megalodon Unlocked I don't speak Dutch, but I can generally work out words and fill in the rest; at a guess you are saying (forgive any bad guesswork) 'The English killed 35,000 farmers and families in South Africa, for this Liverpool named their stand the Kop. Respect the dead, don't forget.'? Ladysmith was but one battle in what is now known mainly as RSA. A lot of English football teams called their home stand the Kop. The Boers were guerilla fighters as well as farmers and the Afrikaaners promoted apartheid in SA for decades after Ladysmith, so don't play the blame game just on us. You were colonialists too and were just as vicious for the size of your country. Ladysmith was 120 years ago - yes, by all means remember the dead, but also remember it was our and your great-great and greatx3-grandfathers generations who committed any 'war crimes' if you want to use a modern expression. We can't change the past, we can change the future, but not if we harp back to the past continually. You can't even currently unite your own country between the Flemish and the Walloons. If I mistranslated the tone of your comment btw, I apologise.

Unlike Pep who only succeeds with only already tailored players, Klopp just make his every single player the best in their position. Robertson, Salah, Ferminiho, Mane, Alexander Arnold, Wijnaldom (especially him as I remember he was really playing badly in the beginning) are the examples.

I think people focus to much on themselves and others as individual entities and forget we are forged as member of group that has it's own identity even if it is a colective one.
Klopp is a great man and what he did in BVB was unbeliavable and very beautiful too. Everyone loved how graceful it was because of his humility and constant focus. I was lucky to be living in Germany in that period although my friends were all Schalke or Köln fans. Still they all praised him and respected him as a great coach.
Germany is a country of many great men and it has one of the richest cultural backgrounds. In every field too, Science, Sport, Art, Philosophy, Poetry... you name it.
I think this explains much of the "normal one" posture.
Naming yourself special one is not graceful at all but when Mourinho did that he was not just showing his somewhat narcisistic personality he was puting himself under pressure.
As a portuguese I see that a lot. Portugal is a very small country with not that many great men. The great portuguese men are seen as great by ourselves and appreciated but they are hardly seen as heroes or great men abroad. I think this contributes to a complex and stimulates a wish of greatness that sometimes is harmful.
You see CR7 and he has the same posture because this was the drive that took him where he is.
Klopp will be Champion I hope and this will be delighting to see because his teams always produce amazing football.
