Lidsville was one of the first tv shows I remember watching as a kid. I met Butch a couple months ago and he was so cool.

What a great genuine person! I just learned of his role in Lidsville and watched an old episode. He went past Eddie Munster to other projects and has had a great life!

I think he had problem with drugs and alcohol, but he got over that.

When I was a little boy ,my dad who was a stuntman, took me to the studio with him. I don’t remember which one now, but I do remember going to the cafeteria on the lot. When we were entering we ran into Herman Munster and Grandpa. I was so excited to meet them. I don’t think I was afraid though. Herman knelt down and let me give him a hug. I asked where Eddie was? Grand pa said “ Eddies in the basement playing with Spot” I will always remember that .

I do recall him as Milo on The Phantom Tollbooth, and that film is very underrated considering the fact that it's a pre Red Dawn era MGM film, and it's "Tom and Jerry" lead director Chuck Jones who led the way in this film as the main director.

Felix Silla wasn't "Thing" on "The Addams Family" he was "Cousin Itt".

I was very confused, thinking that this was a comment on the John Astin Addams video that I uploaded. Couldn't believe Astin would've goofed like that -- but it's equally weird that Butch did, considering he and Silla co-starred in Addams Family Funhouse.

"Thing" was actually played by Ted Cassidy's hand who also played Lurch.

@@twistoffate4791 The characters were created by cartoonist Charles Addams, who was pretty well known at the time. I guess Itt just played into the family's eccentricities.

@@twistoffate4791 I can't explain the two "T's" in Cousin Itt .. But the reason for the two "D's" in ADDAMS is easily explained . It's because cartoonist Charles Addams created the cartoon in 1938 for The New Yorker Magazine.. It's how his name is spelled.

I always thought Mr. Patrick was very insightful, I saw an interview in which he was asked about the difference between the Addams family and the Munsters, he replied that the Munsters were an ordinary family that looked like monsters but the Addams family was monsters that looked like an ordinary family

What separates the Munsters and Addams family from other sitcom families is these families really loved each other!

I never watched Lidsville. Not sure why. I like Butch Patrick and Charles Nelson Reilly.

I wonder if I'm the only kid who was terrified of Lidsville. The entire show was like my worst nightmare on the screen.

Part of my fascination with then Kroft shows, is as a kid, they kind of creeped me out.
I loved all the imagination, but they also could be unsettling to a kid.

No other child would have fit the role of Eddie Munster. Any sitcom it's very important for every Carector to be likable even the children. Who would have thought that we would be watching interviews over half a century later. It makes me feel prehistoric. What about you.?
