Windows XP was best times of life
I was born in 1999, and this song is a perfect embodiment of what the 2000s felt like for me. Those times were not the best for the world and for my country, a lot of bad stuff happened and life wasn't exactly the happiest, but it still felt like people were reaching for a better future, hoping for a better world in the newly-born millenia.
When I was a little child, the world felt so big, so new, so exciting, and it felt like something whole, something completely united. Of course, it's hard to remember for me what was it like living in those times, but there are some feelings from those times which sprout out here and there. This song so far pinpointed those feelings the most.
Read this comment with a warm tone while listening to the song. Sounds like an inspirational speach straight from the closing scene of a movie.

There's just something about this song that brings back so many memories. As stupid as it sounds it's like I associate a good amount of my childhood with logging into the old windows computer and playing a game with my sister and then logging off to play in the snow or attend my family christmas party or going to play a pickup game of baseball with friends. It's a really incredible feeling.

I agree; Windows 8 felt more like a PC that was trying too hard to be a tablet. Fortunately, Windows 10 sort of rectified this problem a bit, by being distributed in two different versions -- one for tablets, and one for PCs.
The difference is in the START menu. PC users need a START menu, while tablet users need a HOME menu.

Half these comments seem to hate the shutdown part... but it seemed to have the same solid flow and was a perfect ending. Wasn't abrasive, was still in the same tune... not sure what people are saying. I guess they're not used to listening to classical suites, that can be my only speculation. Buncha plebeians tbh.

The last time used it on another computer was on August 2016...
I may have been afraid of the shutdown being a child, but now it only means nostalgia, and I miss those moments when I was playing with that computer at that time.
I hope I will use Windows XP at least one last time...

Its crazy how good windows XP was and the memories this operating systems song made me have during those times back in 2001 - 2010. My mother passed away back then and I had first made my own you tube channel using windows XP media center edition. I wanted to find a way to get my mind off of losing my mother so I deicded to make you tube videos. On a different you tube channel. Not this one. Thanks for the music so many years later. 2023
When I was something like six years old, my dad gave me my first PC.
It ran Windows XP... the very first OS that I've ever worked with.
Here I am around a decade later, on Windows 10, on a totally new PC.
XP is an OS that I will never forget. It's a masterpiece in its own right, and it always will be.
