@@lewsee5562 it was less Nahida check and more Dendro check. Dendro just stupid good and Nahida was the best support for it, still kind of is but other chars like Yaoyao, DMC, and Baizhu also do well. Its just that C2 Nahida and her overall ease of use made her the most popular pick.

It took every hydro unit I had, but I did beat it without neuvilette. (C1 ayato taser and nahida hyperbloom). Honestly without c1 ayato it would've been impossible
I was trying quickbloom and neuvi as well and couldn't clear because my ping was 350 today I tried with 190ish ping and cleared with a difference of 15 seconds
There are 12 hydro units in Genshin. 9 of them are 5-stars. Excluding Mona, 8 of those are limited. If you need 2-3+ hydros for an abyss, you're forced to pull 1-2 limited 5-star hydros and required to use Xingqiu unless you pulled even more limited 5-star hydros.
I remember after clearing the Abyss Lectors in Chamber 1, I was like “ok, next chamber”, then got confused when it didn’t end and to my horror, I realized there was one more wave of enemies.
When people say "hard", there's two different types of hard. There is DPS check hard. And then there is mechanically hard, where you have to execute properly or die/miss your damage window. 4.7 Abyss is mechanically easy, there is literally nothing here that is on the same threat level as lector freeze/National or consecrated beast ganban, or strict windows of Wenut. So as long as you DO meet the DPS check (which has never been a particularly high gatekeeper in previous Abyss either), it will feel easy, whereas if you don't it will feel impossible.
yeah, the hardest abyss is still 3.7. you got abyss freeze first half and two waves of tanky ass consecrated beasts on the other half. it's not just the dps check anymore. it's pure genuine malding from being ragdolled all over the place. that abyss scared me that i thought i was going to struggle this abyss when i saw consecrated beasts in the line up but i guess they weren't as tanky as before?
@@itsargenta The red one by itself is just not as dangerous as blue + green combined, since the assault is not as sustained nor pushes you around as much. Also, green + blue specifically is anti-Bennett which messes up a lot of accounts that don't have deeper bench to work around it. If you look at earlier 3.x Abysses with red + purple combined, it just wasn't on the same level, i.e. nobody really feels any kind of way about those floors.
Eh, a set up not being Benny friendly doesn't make it mechanically hard. Consecrated beasts were a bit chaotic, but that was all. Wenut is about as simple as an enemy gets... no time to set up, so just rotate through DPS types. People weren't ready for it the first time, but the next time it appeared, people breezed through it.
@@Axterix13 People breezed through Wenut return because it was in chamber 1, not chamber 3, so was significantly less tanky therefore allowing for sloppy play/rotation. The challenge of the original version was that you had exactly two cycles to fit your DPS in, so if you randomly "just rotate through" with "no set up" then you'd have a bad time, whereas if you learned the pop-up pattern and pre-buffered your setup to maximize damage window, you could clear.
yep, i have the same teams as zajef's (except i don't have yelan so i slap fishl in the team), and i finished the 1 floor at exactly 7:00 probably skill or build issue idk, but i never had such problems with this team, like at all

I agree. My friend also told me this abyss is the hardest. So i decided to not use any OP characters like Neuvilette or Arlecchino : I couldn't 36 stars it. When i had enough i switched to Arlecchino first and Neuvilette second i finished it in like 2 minutes 😂 so yeah, it's a pure DPS check

I wanted to showcase my good artifacts and understanding of the game's mechanisms by not using furina + neuvillete on second half... Then, I learned that a wise man is also one who knows when to admit that neuvillete+furina carry his account.

I used Cyno Quickbloom (Cyno/Candace/Nahida/Shinobu) in the front and Raiden Taser (Raide/Furina/Yelan/Jean) in the back. 12-2 and 12-3 were fine, but man 12-1 was _rough._ This definitely felt like one of those lineups where if you don't have the "proper" character(s), you're gonna have a bad time.

Total HP doesn't necessarily mean it's harder. When I saw the HP total my first reaction was "oh, the same as previous Abyss but the HP total is higher because the last boss isn't a low HP high barrier enemy". You can also have 10 Mitachurls which are more HP than a consecratred beast, but the consecrated beasts move around all over the place and don't like to get staggered. I'd say that that one Abyss with a bunch of consecrated beasts in groups of 2 on 12-3 was harder.
Basic ass Raiden hyperbloom is "more fun" than Chlorinde... I really don't understand what he even considers fun. I would've assumed that normal attacking on Nahida would be less fun that normal attacking on Chlorinde. Like I'm genuinely confused. Guess he prefers mashing the button to holding
Neuvi didn't "ruin" abyss, hoyo ruined abyss by not changing it in any good way for 4 years, no new floors, no new interesting spins or gimmicks on the formula, it's the same 4 floors but each update the enemies get tankier and more annoying, there's barely any strategy involved besides picking the right meta team with the right meta units and just doing enough damage.
Technically they did change abyss, this and the previous one are by far the hardest ones, the reason why when you scroll the internet and see people make them look like easy, is due to the existence of neuvillette, trust me, as soon as you withdraw the dragon and by extent arlechinno from their account they will really suffer at the abyss

Whales are insane, this abyss is super difficult if you don't have neuvilette or have a high vertical investment in two very specific teams, this abyss was a huge dps check

Tbh I think is cause of Fontaine units.. I ménaged to clear at first try with a Clorinde lvl 80 in my first half and a Neuvilette team in the second half… it was hard btw
I did this abyss with these exact teams except Baizhu instead of Zhongli, I did manage to clear it with 3 stars with almost 1 whole minute left to spare, but it was definitely the hardest abyss we've had. I am f2p and it made me wonder what would I have done if I didn't pull for these characters.
I love neuvilette so much, he's just so fun and strong, glad i got him on his first run, he's one of the few units that i would consider rolling for constellations for
Low-key I found this abyss fine chamber two and chamber three were relatively easy both halves. chamber one is by far the hardest. I will say I think it’s the hardest chamber we’ve had in abyss, but it still wasn’t that bad. I only had to redo it twice to get it. And I ran the stupidest thing ever. Hu Tao, support elegy ganyu, venti and xingqui first half and second half was Ayato, fishcl, yelan, and Benny.
Hearing you think this is the hardest abyss we ever had is interesting. I did have to change up some comps but I didn't have massive amounts of retries. Just goes to show how progressed my account is by this point. Certainly i've had way more difficult abysses where i've spent hours in them struggling to clear with certain comps or even with good ones. So this might be the hardest abyss of all time but when taking into account progression, there were far worse for me. I think back at the start of 2022 there was a multiple herald / lector abyss with guys on both sides and I only had Sucrose. That was way harder for me back then than this abyss was for me now.
And there are still people who think "Neuvilette is over rated". ffs this guy competes with the best single target DPSs while being an aoe character. Also he's extremely easy to play and consistent, the fact that zhongli is in his best team damage wise says a lot.

Full starred using Thundering Furry Razor and Mono-Hydro. No Neuvillette. Teams used were Nahida, Xingqiu, c6 Bennett, Razor & Furina, Ayato, Barbara, Kazuha.
Legit can’t clear this abyss. I don’t have an anemo dps or hydro dps. Or electro main dps. Or enough aoe on my hydro and electro subdps characters. So I just CANNOT clear this abyss 12-1 in time. It just takes way too long to deal with both pyro lecters. And the fact that I have to constantly dodge or take a ton of DoT is also not great. Sucrose + xingqiu is also not enough. You need to have both amazing damage AND enough electro + hydro application to clear. And I have the damage but I just don’t have the application. Don’t have neuv. Don’t have furina. Will try again after getting furina but for now this abyss is impossible for me.
Chamber 1 mono-pyro Arlecchino Xiangling, Bennet, Sucrose and double hydro hyperbloom yelan xingqiu worked for me, but only on chamber 1, and it was not easy, only few seconds till 7min mark.
Yeah monohydro with Furina is the way for the second half … Kokomi helps a great deal in that team… keep building your units and as you expand your roster you will be able to start doing harder abyss’ like this… also recommend abyss YT’ers like F2PKeqing, KenRuorini and SilentType for team ideas…
The abyss always gets harder the closer we get to the next region. Last year, it was just as bad. Let’s not pretend it’s balanced around Neuvillette when it’s been happening before the character’s release.
It's not pretending. Literally read any of the other comments on this video. If people have Neuvillette (or to a lesser extent Ayato), they breeze through it. If they don't, it's incredibly difficult. It's an AoE hydro check, and Neuvillette is purpose built for it

I actually agree with some of the chat tbh 3.x abysses felt harder imo. For the people saying yeah cuz of stronger units i only used units pre fontain and after that ones with fontain char.
Most of it was easy imo, dendro chicken and simon are easy enough bosses. It was the abyss rotation with 4 consecrated beasts as well the lector/herald spam that just made 3.x such a pain in the ass. I personally just hate that there are 4 waves in the current abyss with fodder waves in between, it kinda ruins rotations.

The reason i found 3.x to be hard was mostly cuz of bosses who had invincibility frames like wolf lord etc and the lectors that froze u to waste time i had such a hard time with those but it was never abt the dps back then.
The 3.x abysses were mechanically harder, this one is mechanically very easy it's just a high dps check but if you reach it then you're good The 3.7 one was hell on earth

the 3.7 abyss was way harder than this one and neuvillette didnt exist back then so can't exactly blame it on him lol. people have to accept that abysses both get harder over time due to natural powercreep and get harder as the nation progresses, which is why the x.7 versions are so difficult. but even if neuvillette didn't exist we still had so much other powercreep in fontaine with both supports and dpses so 4.7 abyss would've been difficult no matter what, just in a different way. like 4.8 abyss has the tulpa and 2 geo bosses that neuvillette won't be good against but navia will, it just is how it is. and if natlan has the bennett/xiangling powercreep the community has been begging for, you bet your ass they're going to balance abyss around those units as well lol.

It's either Neuvillette or Xingqiu + Yelan/Kokomi and there aren't many synergystic teams for that combination. Just Hyperbloom and a couple of sub-optimal but comfy teams like Navia double Hydro.
I barely made it with the limited teams I have, extremely sad that I have to kick Qiqi from my Furina geo team to get full star on 12-1 but well... Was about to give up but a Childe international speedrun video on 12-1-1 gave me some insight. Ultimately I cleared 12-1-1 with Raiden Collei Barbara Nahida in 1:27 and 12-1-2 with Navia Furina Mona Noelle in 1:31, with just 2 seconds to spare. It took me so many tries since I never practiced running Mona on my geo team. 12-2 and 12-3 I got full stars with same teams but Qiqi instead of Mona the day new abyss arrived. All 5-star characters c0 and all weapons 4-star or below. Nahida and Furina are using 3-star weapons.
I knew this would happen, however designed and tuned him really fucked up the entire game with this one character, now the only way to solve this is to buff every character in the game and make the game harder since they sure as hell can't nerf him at this point. I can't believe they released him like he is and thought that this would be a good idea. the other way they can "solve this" is they start releasing characters as strong as him and dump all the older characters in which case most of the player base I hope would dump Mihoyo to show them a similar lever of respect.
The dps check on this abyss may be the highest ever... but I still didn't hate it as much as the 3.7 abyss.... 12-1 1st Half: Two waves of whopperflowers followed by two waves of primal constricts 12-1 2nd Half: Hydro & cryo abyss mages with extra abilities followed by one hydro & two cryo abyss heralds that are up your arse constantly trying to permafreeze you 12-2 1st Half: Terrorshroom 12-2 2nd Half: Thunder Manifestation (This chamber wasn't too bad) 12-3 1st Half: Twin waves of consecrated hydro crocodiles & dendro tigers (hope you're good at dodging & know how to keep away from the sides of the room while doing it) 12-3 2nd Half: Iniquitous Baptist with cryo/hydro/pyro pattern Most of the dps checks weren't extreme (other than the 12-3 consecrated beasts being tankie af), but the shield-break checks sucked pretty hard and the whole 2nd half was pretty restrictive on team building if you were trying to 3* all chambers without switching teams. 12-1 was literally awful with the first half sucking up time & then the heralds on the second half just utterly up your rear trying to freeze you out Honestly, I'll take a hard dps check over that frustrating crap any day

For me this abyss fees easier than the last one, however I’m yet to 36-star any abyss. However, the previous one is the first abyss I’ve ever cleared, because I got Wanderer with c6 Faruzan. Now, my Wanderer is slightly better built and I can actually use Ayaka for the first time since… a long f**king time. I’m getting Furina soon, who will hopefully help my Ayaka. I also have an aggravate Keqing team, but my Keqing still has the same mid-build she had before dendro O_o so she does nowhere near enough damage. I also have an okey Childe Intern team, but it uses both Bennett and Kazuha, who are needed for Wanderer and Ayaka
It's not even that his damage output is high, it's that a central format of abyss content is "pairs of miniboss enemies where trying to work around unreliable positioning mechanics so you can actually apply damage to both at once is more important than your combat skill, knowledge of enemies, teambuilding, or character strength" and it turns out the bubblebeam is a hard counter to that.
Everyone has different teams and builds so it differs. For me last Abyss took much time as I had to change teams in 12th floor. But this one cleared in one go. All because I was using correct teams and didn't had much mixed elemental enemies.
Hoyo balancing abyss around the meta breaking characters is stupid. If they want to make Neuv and Arle stop dominating abyss just put hydro/pyro slimes and mages in the waves and not make it a damage check that hurts every other character. They nerfed Venti by making enemies resist vacuum or require getting staggered first, they nerfed Zhongli with riftwolves, smart enemy placement and design could make abyss more interesting but nah we just gotta keep making it a wallet and time investment check.
Two past abbysses gave me way more touble... maybe they had just different checks that I specifically had very hard time passing, while a simple dps check is... well, simplier
The real criminal in this abyss rotation is the floor 11-1, mostly because of the cryo and hydro slimes, that shit is just boring and annoying as shit imo

This abyss isn't hard. It is just very very annoying if you don't have the right characters. First half is very easy you can play any good dps team with short rotation. But the second half need aoe dmg + good hydro is very annoying Especially i play on around 180-200 ping so it is hard to switch the character out fast. Tbh it is just neuvillette abyss if you have neuvillette it us very easy. You can say you can use xingqiu yelan ans stuff but it is still very slow. I literally have to use nilou kokomi yelan nahida team for the second half cus those pyro shields are very annoying to deal with. Also it is very good for ayato yelan/xingqiu nahida kuki but then you put those wolves that drain hp so have to play healer cus kuki won't be enough. Tbh this abyss just very annoying with it limitations. It is definitely not hard if you have right characters
This abyss is easy if you have Neuvillette. 3.7 was hard because you needed to break hydro, cryo and pyro shields on one side. This requires some weird off meta team (nahida national)

If you found this abyss difficult it's not because you lack Neuvi, it's because you didn't have a built hydro team, Ayato works, Kokomi works, Nilou works, Childe works, even Mona works. It's not a Neuvi check, it's a hydro check.

i have a 2+ years international clean streak, but i just can't with this one. they put enemies after the pyro lectors so i find myself without childes skill for those last enemies.... and they're kinda tanky so just the ryptide burst is not enough
For those complaining: 3.7 abyss was mechanically harder becauze u'll die instantly if u make wrong move. 4.7 abyss is harder for low to mid investment accounts dur to higher dps and elemental check, but not mechanically hard.
As someone without Arlecchino and Neuvillette, this was an ordeal. Specifically 12-1 I’m honestly glad I got Clorinde because I’m honestly not sure what I would’ve done.
@@utaita8214 I use Keqing. If she was higher than C1 she probably could’ve done it faster than my Clorinde. Clorinde just synergizes better with Fischl in terms out putting out attacks.

@@RafaelCDinardi I had a smooth clear with Clorinde top half with Kazuha/Fischl/Baizhu. TF set helped a lot, allowed me to clear 2 waves per rotation.
There are 12 hydro units in Genshin. 9 of them are 5-stars. Excluding Mona, 8 of those are limited. If you need 2-3+ hydros for an abyss, you're forced to pull 1-2 limited 5-star hydros and required to use Xingqiu unless you pulled even more limited 5-star hydros.
Or pull whatever you want, invest in it enough, slap any hydro unit and just bruteforce it.
Funny how people talk about this only now. Ever since I started playing I knew that the situation with Hydro units in this game is atrocious.

I remember after clearing the Abyss Lectors in Chamber 1, I was like “ok, next chamber”, then got confused when it didn’t end and to my horror, I realized there was one more wave of enemies.
When people say "hard", there's two different types of hard.
There is DPS check hard. And then there is mechanically hard, where you have to execute properly or die/miss your damage window.
4.7 Abyss is mechanically easy, there is literally nothing here that is on the same threat level as lector freeze/National or consecrated beast ganban, or strict windows of Wenut.
So as long as you DO meet the DPS check (which has never been a particularly high gatekeeper in previous Abyss either), it will feel easy, whereas if you don't it will feel impossible.
yeah, the hardest abyss is still 3.7. you got abyss freeze first half and two waves of tanky ass consecrated beasts on the other half. it's not just the dps check anymore. it's pure genuine malding from being ragdolled all over the place.
that abyss scared me that i thought i was going to struggle this abyss when i saw consecrated beasts in the line up but i guess they weren't as tanky as before?
@@itsargenta The red one by itself is just not as dangerous as blue + green combined, since the assault is not as sustained nor pushes you around as much.
Also, green + blue specifically is anti-Bennett which messes up a lot of accounts that don't have deeper bench to work around it.
If you look at earlier 3.x Abysses with red + purple combined, it just wasn't on the same level, i.e. nobody really feels any kind of way about those floors.

Eh, a set up not being Benny friendly doesn't make it mechanically hard. Consecrated beasts were a bit chaotic, but that was all. Wenut is about as simple as an enemy gets... no time to set up, so just rotate through DPS types. People weren't ready for it the first time, but the next time it appeared, people breezed through it.
@@Axterix13 People breezed through Wenut return because it was in chamber 1, not chamber 3, so was significantly less tanky therefore allowing for sloppy play/rotation.
The challenge of the original version was that you had exactly two cycles to fit your DPS in, so if you randomly "just rotate through" with "no set up" then you'd have a bad time, whereas if you learned the pop-up pattern and pre-buffered your setup to maximize damage window, you could clear.
For me, this chambers 2 & 3 were very easy, but chamber 1 was literally hell on earth
same, my butt was prepared after banging at 12-1 for a solid hour only to breeze through the remainder with no sweat at all :D
yep, i have the same teams as zajef's (except i don't have yelan so i slap fishl in the team), and i finished the 1 floor at exactly 7:00
probably skill or build issue idk, but i never had such problems with this team, like at all

I agree. My friend also told me this abyss is the hardest. So i decided to not use any OP characters like Neuvilette or Arlecchino : I couldn't 36 stars it. When i had enough i switched to Arlecchino first and Neuvilette second i finished it in like 2 minutes 😂 so yeah, it's a pure DPS check

I wanted to showcase my good artifacts and understanding of the game's mechanisms by not using furina + neuvillete on second half... Then, I learned that a wise man is also one who knows when to admit that neuvillete+furina carry his account.

I used Cyno Quickbloom (Cyno/Candace/Nahida/Shinobu) in the front and Raiden Taser (Raide/Furina/Yelan/Jean) in the back. 12-2 and 12-3 were fine, but man 12-1 was _rough._
This definitely felt like one of those lineups where if you don't have the "proper" character(s), you're gonna have a bad time.

Total HP doesn't necessarily mean it's harder.
When I saw the HP total my first reaction was "oh, the same as previous Abyss but the HP total is higher because the last boss isn't a low HP high barrier enemy".
You can also have 10 Mitachurls which are more HP than a consecratred beast, but the consecrated beasts move around all over the place and don't like to get staggered.
I'd say that that one Abyss with a bunch of consecrated beasts in groups of 2 on 12-3 was harder.
Basic ass Raiden hyperbloom is "more fun" than Chlorinde... I really don't understand what he even considers fun. I would've assumed that normal attacking on Nahida would be less fun that normal attacking on Chlorinde. Like I'm genuinely confused. Guess he prefers mashing the button to holding

Neuvi didn't "ruin" abyss, hoyo ruined abyss by not changing it in any good way for 4 years, no new floors, no new interesting spins or gimmicks on the formula, it's the same 4 floors but each update the enemies get tankier and more annoying, there's barely any strategy involved besides picking the right meta team with the right meta units and just doing enough damage.
Technically they did change abyss, this and the previous one are by far the hardest ones, the reason why when you scroll the internet and see people make them look like easy, is due to the existence of neuvillette, trust me, as soon as you withdraw the dragon and by extent arlechinno from their account they will really suffer at the abyss

@@sasato8966 the enemies have changed, we got coppelia and coppelius who deal a shit ton of dmg, and we got fontaine local legends and hydro tulpa who deals lot of dmg while requiring you specifics team comps ( geo or overload for one, anything other than hydro and bennett for the tulpa), and as you said hp health etc, I mean, what do you want them to change in the abyss exactly?

I did this abyss with these exact teams except Baizhu instead of Zhongli, I did manage to clear it with 3 stars with almost 1 whole minute left to spare, but it was definitely the hardest abyss we've had. I am f2p and it made me wonder what would I have done if I didn't pull for these characters.

Low-key I found this abyss fine chamber two and chamber three were relatively easy both halves. chamber one is by far the hardest. I will say I think it’s the hardest chamber we’ve had in abyss, but it still wasn’t that bad. I only had to redo it twice to get it. And I ran the stupidest thing ever. Hu Tao, support elegy ganyu, venti and xingqui first half and second half was Ayato, fishcl, yelan, and Benny.
Hearing you think this is the hardest abyss we ever had is interesting. I did have to change up some comps but I didn't have massive amounts of retries. Just goes to show how progressed my account is by this point. Certainly i've had way more difficult abysses where i've spent hours in them struggling to clear with certain comps or even with good ones. So this might be the hardest abyss of all time but when taking into account progression, there were far worse for me. I think back at the start of 2022 there was a multiple herald / lector abyss with guys on both sides and I only had Sucrose. That was way harder for me back then than this abyss was for me now.
Truly a dps check. Brought both hypercarry arlecchino and neuvillette and went through it like a hot knife through butter. No resets necessary.

Also he's extremely easy to play and consistent, the fact that zhongli is in his best team damage wise says a lot.

Legit can’t clear this abyss. I don’t have an anemo dps or hydro dps. Or electro main dps. Or enough aoe on my hydro and electro subdps characters. So I just CANNOT clear this abyss 12-1 in time. It just takes way too long to deal with both pyro lecters. And the fact that I have to constantly dodge or take a ton of DoT is also not great. Sucrose + xingqiu is also not enough.
You need to have both amazing damage AND enough electro + hydro application to clear. And I have the damage but I just don’t have the application. Don’t have neuv. Don’t have furina. Will try again after getting furina but for now this abyss is impossible for me.
Chamber 1 mono-pyro Arlecchino Xiangling, Bennet, Sucrose and double hydro hyperbloom yelan xingqiu worked for me, but only on chamber 1, and it was not easy, only few seconds till 7min mark.
Yeah monohydro with Furina is the way for the second half … Kokomi helps a great deal in that team… keep building your units and as you expand your roster you will be able to start doing harder abyss’ like this… also recommend abyss YT’ers like F2PKeqing, KenRuorini
and SilentType for team ideas…
The abyss always gets harder the closer we get to the next region. Last year, it was just as bad. Let’s not pretend it’s balanced around Neuvillette when it’s been happening before the character’s release.
It's not pretending. Literally read any of the other comments on this video. If people have Neuvillette (or to a lesser extent Ayato), they breeze through it. If they don't, it's incredibly difficult. It's an AoE hydro check, and Neuvillette is purpose built for it

I actually agree with some of the chat tbh 3.x abysses felt harder imo. For the people saying yeah cuz of stronger units i only used units pre fontain and after that ones with fontain char.
Most of it was easy imo, dendro chicken and simon are easy enough bosses. It was the abyss rotation with 4 consecrated beasts as well the lector/herald spam that just made 3.x such a pain in the ass. I personally just hate that there are 4 waves in the current abyss with fodder waves in between, it kinda ruins rotations.

The reason i found 3.x to be hard was mostly cuz of bosses who had invincibility frames like wolf lord etc and the lectors that froze u to waste time i had such a hard time with those but it was never abt the dps back then.
The 3.x abysses were mechanically harder, this one is mechanically very easy it's just a high dps check but if you reach it then you're good

the 3.7 abyss was way harder than this one and neuvillette didnt exist back then so can't exactly blame it on him lol. people have to accept that abysses both get harder over time due to natural powercreep and get harder as the nation progresses, which is why the x.7 versions are so difficult. but even if neuvillette didn't exist we still had so much other powercreep in fontaine with both supports and dpses so 4.7 abyss would've been difficult no matter what, just in a different way. like 4.8 abyss has the tulpa and 2 geo bosses that neuvillette won't be good against but navia will, it just is how it is. and if natlan has the bennett/xiangling powercreep the community has been begging for, you bet your ass they're going to balance abyss around those units as well lol.

It's either Neuvillette or Xingqiu + Yelan/Kokomi and there aren't many synergystic teams for that combination. Just Hyperbloom and a couple of sub-optimal but comfy teams like Navia double Hydro.
I barely made it with the limited teams I have, extremely sad that I have to kick Qiqi from my Furina geo team to get full star on 12-1 but well...
Was about to give up but a Childe international speedrun video on 12-1-1 gave me some insight.
Ultimately I cleared 12-1-1 with Raiden Collei Barbara Nahida in 1:27 and 12-1-2 with Navia Furina Mona Noelle in 1:31, with just 2 seconds to spare. It took me so many tries since I never practiced running Mona on my geo team. 12-2 and 12-3 I got full stars with same teams but Qiqi instead of Mona the day new abyss arrived. All 5-star characters c0 and all weapons 4-star or below. Nahida and Furina are using 3-star weapons.
I knew this would happen, however designed and tuned him really fucked up the entire game with this one character, now the only way to solve this is to buff every character in the game and make the game harder since they sure as hell can't nerf him at this point. I can't believe they released him like he is and thought that this would be a good idea. the other way they can "solve this" is they start releasing characters as strong as him and dump all the older characters in which case most of the player base I hope would dump Mihoyo to show them a similar lever of respect.
I like that if you don't have a built double hydro team for the second half, you just lose
Beidou + Fischl, e.g. taser. If you don't have hydro OR electro covered, well...
The dps check on this abyss may be the highest ever... but I still didn't hate it as much as the 3.7 abyss....

12-1 2nd Half: Hydro & cryo abyss mages with extra abilities followed by one hydro & two cryo abyss heralds that are up your arse constantly trying to permafreeze you
12-2 1st Half: Terrorshroom
12-2 2nd Half: Thunder Manifestation
(This chamber wasn't too bad)
12-3 1st Half: Twin waves of consecrated hydro crocodiles & dendro tigers (hope you're good at dodging & know how to keep away from the sides of the room while doing it)
12-3 2nd Half: Iniquitous Baptist with cryo/hydro/pyro pattern
Most of the dps checks weren't extreme (other than the 12-3 consecrated beasts being tankie af), but the shield-break checks sucked pretty hard and the whole 2nd half was pretty restrictive on team building if you were trying to 3* all chambers without switching teams. 12-1 was literally awful with the first half sucking up time & then the heralds on the second half just utterly up your rear trying to freeze you out
Honestly, I'll take a hard dps check over that frustrating crap any day

For me this abyss fees easier than the last one, however I’m yet to 36-star any abyss. However, the previous one is the first abyss I’ve ever cleared, because I got Wanderer with c6 Faruzan. Now, my Wanderer is slightly better built and I can actually use Ayaka for the first time since… a long f**king time.
I’m getting Furina soon, who will hopefully help my Ayaka.
I also have an aggravate Keqing team, but my Keqing still has the same mid-build she had before dendro O_o so she does nowhere near enough damage.
I also have an okey Childe Intern team, but it uses both Bennett and Kazuha, who are needed for Wanderer and Ayaka
It's not even that his damage output is high, it's that a central format of abyss content is "pairs of miniboss enemies where trying to work around unreliable positioning mechanics so you can actually apply damage to both at once is more important than your combat skill, knowledge of enemies, teambuilding, or character strength" and it turns out the bubblebeam is a hard counter to that.
After finally clearing this Abyss, I just deliberately sprinted with Arlechino to the water with no stamina, drowned her and Alt+F4ed from the game...
I gave up tbh. I wasn’t clearly abyss heralds, kissed by a few second not even counting the wave after them.

Everyone has different teams and builds so it differs. For me last Abyss took much time as I had to change teams in 12th floor. But this one cleared in one go. All because I was using correct teams and didn't had much mixed elemental enemies.
Hoyo balancing abyss around the meta breaking characters is stupid. If they want to make Neuv and Arle stop dominating abyss just put hydro/pyro slimes and mages in the waves and not make it a damage check that hurts every other character.
They nerfed Venti by making enemies resist vacuum or require getting staggered first, they nerfed Zhongli with riftwolves, smart enemy placement and design could make abyss more interesting but nah we just gotta keep making it a wallet and time investment check.
Hoyoverse doesn't care a bit about actually improving this game, they just want to milk as much money they can before it dies

Its basically just any electro team top side and any hydro team bottom side. I used clorinde chevy top then triple hydro nilou bottom and it was fine.
Two past abbysses gave me way more touble... maybe they had just different checks that I specifically had very hard time passing, while a simple dps check is... well, simplier
The real criminal in this abyss rotation is the floor 11-1, mostly because of the cryo and hydro slimes, that shit is just boring and annoying as shit imo

Ah, for me the hardest Abyss is still end of Sumeru with the consecrated beasts. The only thing I have trouble with here is the pyro lectors. First half Alhaitham, second half Childe

On second half I used arle,Bennet,kazuha and childe. Childe melted the shields in like 10secs. And first half alhaitham quick-bloom
Even with nilou team i had to use triple hydro cause kokomi hydro app wasn't cutting it.
So i used nilou nahida kokomi and xingqui.
Cant wait for Neuvillette + Pyro Traveler teams

I'll be honest with you, I've been doing Abyss with the same Neuvillette / Hu Tao teams ever since Furina came out. This is by no means a joke.
This made me take C5 Raiden to the scenes again
I think 3.7 is by far the hardest. Every floor was hard
as a C6 Neuvilette haver, yes he does. floor 12 feels like floor 10
As usual my Navia team and Nuevillette team saved me 😭
ayato felt better than neuvillette imo, burst is a lifesaver

This abyss isn't hard.
It is just very very annoying if you don't have the right characters.
First half is very easy you can play any good dps team with short rotation.
But the second half need aoe dmg + good hydro is very annoying
Especially i play on around 180-200 ping so it is hard to switch the character out fast.
Tbh it is just neuvillette abyss if you have neuvillette it us very easy.
You can say you can use xingqiu yelan ans stuff but it is still very slow.
I literally have to use nilou kokomi yelan nahida team for the second half cus those pyro shields are very annoying to deal with.
Also it is very good for ayato yelan/xingqiu nahida kuki but then you put those wolves that drain hp so have to play healer cus kuki won't be enough.
Tbh this abyss just very annoying with it limitations.
It is definitely not hard if you have right characters
And then there's open world enemies
This abyss is easy if you have Neuvillette. 3.7 was hard because you needed to break hydro, cryo and pyro shields on one side. This requires some weird off meta team (nahida national)

This abyss sure is challenging. Especially the first floor.

@kpkazan it's endgame, struggle is part of it, people are just malding that 1 character doesn't struggle but also love to complain that the game isn't challenging... so where's the line?
If you found this abyss difficult it's not because you lack Neuvi, it's because you didn't have a built hydro team, Ayato works, Kokomi works, Nilou works, Childe works, even Mona works. It's not a Neuvi check, it's a hydro check.
Lectors and Heralds in my opinion are the ones who ruins abysses. Not Neuvillette.. plus bro benched Clorinde in like 2-3 days..

i have a 2+ years international clean streak, but i just can't with this one. they put enemies after the pyro lectors so i find myself without childes skill for those last enemies.... and they're kinda tanky so just the ryptide burst is not enough

For those complaining:
3.7 abyss was mechanically harder becauze u'll die instantly if u make wrong move.
4.7 abyss is harder for low to mid investment accounts dur to higher dps and elemental check, but not mechanically hard.
Just built beidou, didn't think she'd come in clutch for this abyss lol
I personally think 3.7 abyss is harder but this one is definitely up there

@@utaita8214 I use Keqing. If she was higher than C1 she probably could’ve done it faster than my Clorinde. Clorinde just synergizes better with Fischl in terms out putting out attacks.
That second side looks like prime real estate for my mono hydro team >:]
