- There's a weird issue with my Razer Mamba Elite that I can't believe more people have nor run into considering how popular this mouse is.
The scroll wheel clearly has two stages of clicks however, Razer Synapse software only has the ability to program the first stage of scroll click. There is also no mention anywhere online about this mouse having two stages of scroll clicks. Clicking the scroll wheel hard enough to reach the second stage causes the mouse to register a scroll down which is very annoying especially while gaming.
Razer Support had no resolution and said they would make a feature request to add it to Synapse. Until then I think I'll be returning this mouse.

UPDATE for anyone who may have the same issue: The "second stage" of scroll click was actually the side scroll click feature which is very easily activated if you push down and move the scroll wheel to either side even a little. If you unbind the side scroll function, it will fix the issue.

Glad you figured it out. Had similar issues with default bindings on my keyboard and it took me forever to figure it out.
So if I unbind it the second click won’t register right
Also just to let you know its not an issue its built in the mouse
It’s because when you press hard on the middle scroll when mouse there’s the first normal stage but the second is actually moving the scroll wheel to the left as moving it to the left makes, by default, a scroll wheel scrolling down and same for moving to right right making the same as scrolling up

can you set the wheel side buttons to navigate through tabs on google chrome or smn like that?
i had a similar issue a while back, christmas of 2019 i got a mamba elite. the center scroll click was fine, the left tilt click was fine, but when you wanted to tilt the scroll wheel to the right, you had to go through those 2 stages of click, but it was much more prominant and made the scroll wheel very annoying to use. i RMAd the mouse and got a new one and i dont have any issues since then

U know, u can tilt the scrollwheel left and right. And when u press the wheel tight, u tilt it right. U can disable it in Synapse. I tried it on my new Mamba Elite.
How do you disable this feature in the program?
I’m new to PC just bought the mouse.

Don’t know if this will help but to fix this....you disable the repeat scroll down and it won’t do that

I own a mamba chroma wireless. It's expensive. The feet wear off quick and it's not easy to find new skates to replace in my area. It's God dam heavy 125g.
Sometimes in game when I lift the mouse a bit too high or I used it on another surface. The sensor just stops working even though if I put it back on my mouse pad. I have to flick it extremely hard for like half an hour to make it back to normal. I suspect that this either a calibration issue or the skates being too flat. Synapse just sucks for calibrating the sensor.
The side grip gets oily easily and it falls off.
There's no onboard memory for the version I'm using so whenever I shutdown my pc and put the mouse back on the dock for charging, I'd light up really bright where it gets really annoying.
The battery life is horrible. I'd much rather use the mouse on wired mode because of how much problems its causing. The cable just wasn't it, stuff af. Almost worse than normal rubber cheap cables.
The first time I use the mouse. I was really disgusted by the shape but after a while I got a little use to it. After like 4 years of using it now, I couldn't grip it properly still and it's still not comfortable.
I saw the deathadder essential online and I wanted to buy it so bad because it's not too expensive and it's shape is perfect but buying another mouse that's a downgrade with specs doesn't seem right to my parents.

I dont know if you know this but the "second" click is probably the side push, idk but you can push it sideways and use that(i think you are accidentally pushing to the left or right)
It IS the right push. I tried it on my Mamba Elite.
I own that and it is very nice

I had the same issue. There shouldn't be a second stage, and sideclicks shouldn't be activated by pressing down. It's an indication that the wheel isn't properly aligned and that its mounting is probably broken.
Right?? I find it baffling how no one has complained about this considering all the reviews. Even after disabling the side clicks, it still feels odd having that second click
Not related to this problem but its kinda similar? had to move out of the house for a while like a year or two so my stuff was left there to collect dust including my mouse, razer mamba elite also, thing is I got it back recently everything is working fine I dont have this scroll wheel click issue, but what I have instead is the scroll not working itself, I tried updating my firmware its already up to date, did the reset synapse download uninstall, I come back down to hardware issue, I tried to blow air into the wheel itself nothing happened, anyone got the same problem? dont wanna buy a new mouse since I know I can still save this one

how is the scroll wheel on this mouse though? i mean does it require too much effort to turn or perhaps its light and smooth and doesnt have too much resistance? thanks in advance
It's not really light. Requires a fair amount of resistance, much more than my mx master scroll
i have a problem with the clicking whenever i double click the second click doesnt register i have this problem also
if the second click doesn't register that means your not double clicking or the mouse cant double click
Just got this right out the box and my right click is super soft and doesnt even click when i try to press it unless im on the very front edge of it.. left click is totally fine. Anyone else with this issue?
I don't have that issue with mine. Seems like a mechanical issue with yours though
@@dowblab yea. Weird i’ve had razer products forever and never an issue.. put it back in the box sending back to amazon for a replacement, hopefully the next one is alright.

Update it was just a faulty unit, got my replacement from amazon and this one works great

my elite does this as well
u can modify it in synapse
it is scroll left and right mine did the same disable it in software
My problem with this mouse is the freaking second click.. Its really upsetting me :c
Is it worth upgrading from Deathadder elite to mamba elite?
I would just go with whichever mouse feels better in your hand. They are very similar despite how they're marketed. The Mamba is a taller mouse while the deathadder (I've only used the essentials but I think they're the same shape) is a wider and lower mouse. I personally liked how the deathadder fit in my hand more than the mamba but it's all subjective. Oh and completely disregard DPI. A high dpi doesn't mean anything. No one uses their mouse at 16k or even 10k dpi.

Personally, I had the deathadder essentials before this and liked how it fit in my hand better. It was a larger, lower mouse and it was just more comfortable for me. Idk about other differences though but I will say that you should absolutely ignore DPI. It is completely irrelevant, just go with what it most comfortable size and weight wise for you

@@dowblab yea. i bought it 3 years ago. it worked fine but then had issues. i called razer but they could not help. so i just bought a new mouse lol.

I'm not sure exactly because I don't have the keyboard anymore. My alphas were light blue and white. The surrounding keys were a yellow I believe

actually a cool feature to scroll without scrolling, how does this affect the most important aspect of this mouse: gaming? Im sure logitech doesnt have a automatic scroller XD
It's just his copy that's broken and messed up, even tho you can avoid it by disabling SIDE SCROLL feature which RAZER MAMBA ELITE has so yeah

Probably broke the mounting support of the wheel .... and it sinks in with every press. Don't be mad at the mouse if you can't aim dude

You're right! Weird how the side scroll clicks are engaged by pressing down on the scroll wheel. I disabled them and I dont have this issue anymore. Thank you
@MasterFrags I just disabled the side scroll clicks and now the "second stage" of center scroll works normally as if i just lightly pressed it

I am not sure I don't own a PS4. If any other usb mouse works though then this should work as well

When I'm playing I often smash the scroll click and end up scrolling down. Depends on how jmoort the scroll click is in your game

Used to have Razer Mamba tournament edition (wired/wireless) for 3 years. Didn't know mice could feel so good after swapping to G305 logitech. Fuck Razer.

Tilting the wheel left or right will scroll up or down. This is a misleading video.
The video was meant to show that the center scroll click unintentionally has 2 stages. The second, lowest stage of center click activates whatever is bound to the side tilting function you mention

worse mouse ever, save yourserlf pains and money , get anything else, i mean anything else will be better, software is like virus, lots of your net and memory , plus it will change your settings unexpected and you will find yourself deleting it and refreshing it often, honestly it sucks.if you know of a good gaming mouse, please help , i have been punished enough on this pandemic for being stupid to buy this product.
