crystal clear, thank you very much
This is the most succint explanation
Why explain it complicated when it can be that simple, THANK YOU
Loved it, GREAT video
very clear concept. thanks
CFTC report was easy to find - there were a lot of shorts going into 10.01.2021. How much of today's bounce was short covering? A lot.
who do they buy from? if they buy isnt the other person closing?
One person says large open interest means the market will go the other way. I don’t know which side to listen to.
Why Open interest belongs to 'PRIOR DAY' in bulletins? It
s really confusing!
But wouldn’t you have to include who sold Cynthia and the other lady their contacts as participants as well changing the number of open interest
Yeah it makes 0 sense. Additionally, OI is said to increase when shorts are increasing, so why does it seem like OI only increases when the market goes up and drops when it goes down??
@@divinasi0nmaybe because the price is moving down and traders are losing faith in the markets? Idk tell me if you figured it out
Open Interest in COT report is only of USA traders or is it worldwide?
Worldwide
where we can get OI data on internet
CME
hold my beer "nOn CrYpTo tRaDer"
So when Sharon decides to sell his contract, who is buying it?
none. This isnt working the same ways as spot market does
The one who buys it. The buyer can either be someone opening a long position or someone closing a short position.
@@Keskusrikospoliisiso why are shorts and longs counted separately in the example if some of those shorts and longs are going to be matching with counterparties who are opening positions in the opposite direction? And why would OI drop when a market is going down if short contracts are opening?? Something is missing here.
This is a bad explanation. If you think you understand something based on this video, I'm sorry, you did not because it's missing so much important information.
That's what I thought.
So do you have an article, post, video or something where you think this is sufficiently and well explained?
