- To be asked to make a special and totally unique gift for a happy occasion like a wedding is just so amazing! These orders make me so very happy!
I love to share this process with you and hope it can inspire you to take on special commissions. As an artist we can make such an impact on other peoples lives in a positive way. Yes, communication is key with these commissions. I always talk these request through thoroughly with the customer to hopefully eliminate disappointments. Keep asking the questions that are important for you as an artist, to get as close you can to the image your customer has in mind! It is challenging but it will work if you are willing to communicate and let your customer know what is possible for you and what is not!

That's a beautiful bird bath, the design looks so good and I love the texture of the exterior! I'm curious about the varnish used. Is this also kiln fired?
Thank you! Yes, this is kiln fired to cone 6. I used Amaco's HF9, zinc free clear glaze.
