- 1. The pictures do not belong to me. Incase any of them belong to you please don't get annoyed. This is just for entertainment and awareness.
2. The prices are not absolute/fixed. They are subject to change with time (For e.g. the value of record might become 'x' times of the current price in the next 'y' years).
3. The so called "classic rock" albums (Bealtes, Velvet Underground, etc.) are not included. This is mainly a "metal" related video (there are a few obscure rock albums as well).
4. The price range for each of the albums has been decided on the basis of statistics from Ebay, Discogs, Popsike, Music Stack, etc.
5. Box Sets/Compilations are not included.
6. The prices mentioned are (in majority of the cases) for records whose conditions (media, cover and inner sleeve) range from "Very Good" to "Mint".
7. If you think I've left out some albums let me know. Cheers. - Hudba
I did not know I was sitting on gold... I do have the uncut Trooper single...
That Sarcofago I bought it in Brazil in the mid 90's for less than 1 dollar, plus the original issue of the CD for less than 5 dollars, in the 90's vinyl were in a extreme decline in Brazil, ohh If I knew it, I had the first issue of Morbid Visions and Bestial devastation from Sepultura also, I gave away all my vinyl collection in the early 2000, lol, Now is just regrets
I think many are missing which are very much expenssive than most of those her shown, like Militia, Paradoxx, Leather Nunn, Amethyst, Metal Merchant, Solar Eagle, etc etc
Exactly, i was looking 10 years back for the "Take the Night" vinyl from Leather Nunn. At those years it was priced (minimum) 2,000$!
I am continually blown away and confused by how people keep leaving Blind Guardian by the wayside! Earlier releases from Germany by the producers of Nuclear Blast were repeatedly mentioned in this video, yet Blind Guardian is somehow not included even though Nuclear Blast has been handling their stuff for years. Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath were mentioned numerous times, yet Blind Guardian not mentioned once. Tool was even included in this list! I've listened to Tool ever since 1992, and they're a HARD ROCK band, NOT metal.
With the exception of Blind Guardian's 2015 album, Beyond the Red Mirror, all previous LP's are not easy to come by and there is nothing available by them in the US, unless you want to pay Amazon between 400.00 - 700.00 dollars. I'm glad I have some Blind Guardian LP's that I can use on my channel to educate the world, because apparently the world is in need of education on this band. When I finally transition to my metal stuff, I'll demonstrate what rare really is in the German power metal genre for people who need to learn about that band. Do yourselves a favor and start searching for Blind Guardian on youtube, google, wherever and start learning what real metal should be.
Mate, tool is heavier than hard rock, meaning it’s metal fuckhead 🙄
I had a pretty good laugh at this long time Tool fan just now discovering that Tool is in fact 'metal'.
expected = buy it now = good luck
Just bought a cynic focus original off discogs. Cost about $200. I honestly think would fork over the cash for the psykisk testbild album. If i can ever find one.
theres one for sale on Discogs! a bit pricey though! guy wants about 650 AUD for it! i had 2 at one stage and sold one. Still own the other! won't ever get rid of it!
You should do another one of these with more vinyl and updated prices ;)
Very Cool!
The prices of the Black Sabbath albums (Vertigo Swirl) shown in this video are simply not true. They are much cheaper. I own some of them and I paid less then 100 $ for each of them.
Some very rare Hard Rock / Metal LPs are missing in the video:
Quartz - same (debut album) - almost impossible to find, don't know the current price
Quartz - Satan's Serenade - prices from 330 to 550 $
Pentagram - same (alternate version of the 'Relentless' LP) - almost impossible to find, don't know the current price
Vault - No more escape (the original pressing, not the re-release) - very rare, don't know the current price
I am wondering what terra incognita of Gojira costs since i can't find it nowhere,...
I Still Can't believe those Sabbath Albums go for that much! Forbidden I can understand hasn't been reissued and came out in the 90s. but the 1st three if there are rare than they should at least go for $50 or $40. But Still Cool Video. :)
Glad to own all those Meshuggah in this video:) and they are expensive! will only get more expensive unfortunately
Honestly didn’t expect to see two of my fav bands here: opeth and porcupine tree
Wow! When did you buy them?
Well . . . at-least I have Savatage "Sirens" when it debuted :). Would love to have Dream Theater (though I do have their debut "When Dream and Day Unite" on LP/Mechanic), Meshuggah and Opeth on LP. And lots of Thrash bands from the 90's in mint condition (nope, not interested in selling :P ). Had my chance once to get Rush's "Counterparts" a few months after it debuted, one of my biggest regrets. And Psychotic Waltz "A Social Grace" on Picture Disc from the store that the drummer co-owned, Blue Meanie Records :(.
You miss Sororicide
I'm sure I've missed out many more :) I limited myself to only 50.
I was gonna comment this, goes for $750USD easy!
Now the most expensive is once upon a time in shaolin
Medieval Steel 1984 LP $300-$500
Also, i m a record maniac from 1989 & i have to say that those all records here are very rare. Some of them TOP RARE! I wish to have CORONER's - 'grin'...one of the best progressive metal albums of 90's. I already have the cd but the vinyl is a dream for me. Also, i must say that the 'internet prices' (Discogs, Ebay etc.) many times have not to do with reality. For example, i bought MEGADETH - cryptic writings in NM- 30 euro in a cd/record store in Athens & they sell it for 150-200$ in ebay.
No Manowar-Louder Than Hell?
I am a huge porcupine tre fan, it's a shame that their LPs are all so expensive
I wonder who would pay so insanely price for The Trooper 7 Inch Record. I am happy with reissueS. The only LP i have who could be considered in this list is Dio: Magica (Night Of The Vinyl Dead Record) Limited to 500 around 350 to 400 Euro
Nice BUT this is ONLY A SMALL PART OF EXPENSIVE METAL RECORDS. I think we have to add +50 metal records more in this list...
Psychotic Waltz what a music
I got the original "La Masquerade Inferale" UK pressing. Payed 225 $ for it. 1000 copies isn't really that rare.
…as well as "Sham Mirrors" for the same price.
Time to update this
Are they even worth it? Are they really better than the reissues?
These are just so rare atleast the old ones
Depends on the remaster, new mix and vinyl manufacturer. A lot of people prefer original mixes, but certain remasters are just plainly better than the originals for listening... Like the new Kreator remasters, the covers are ugly as hell with that terrible "REMASTERED" text, but the sound on them is MUCH, MUCH better than the originals.... Then you have shit like the Rust In Peace remaster which is pure garbage with Mustaine rerecording old, classic vocals in favor of new garbage.
MANILLA ROAD's some records... Motorhead's - "sacrifice" / "snake bite love" / "OVERNIGHT SENSATION"...etc.etc. there are many records friend...also LIQUID TENSION or PORCUPINE TREE are not metal...i think the most rare records came out in 90's..especially, after 1992....but we have to think that many of them are not necessery their best...
TheGroovyyyy I would consider Liquid Tension Experiment to be metal, but I agree with you that Porcupine Tree isn't metal. I don't really think of Anglagard as a metal band either.
I have mentioned in the description that a few rock LPs are mentioned. Just to mix it up somewhat.
Oh, I'm not criticizing or anything. Quite the contrary. I really like the styles that the more rock based groups on here play. It seems like the non-metal groups are all prog rock bands. I listen to prog rock all the time.
Lee Naylor Yeah prog rock is my main rock genre too. Even most of the hard rock that I listen to borders around prog. Prog can mean so many things though :P
Babymetal
answer already millionaire artists before even selling stuff
where is mysto dysto
the rules have been disturbed
only 500 albums and i have one hahaha
Porcupine tree are metal?
Keep dreaming boy...
