Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
No items in battle (only held)
No overleveling the next gym leader

Beldum with iron head zen headbutt instead of its actual base moves would’ve rather seen a run with a rom hacked beldum starter in place of chikorita cause iron head and zen headbutt base power is way too high for the first portion of the game
@@luiseduardo8806 Same - I see dragon, I choose dragon, no questions asked. The other options were pretty amazing too, seeing that there's also megas in the game and mega tyranitar is pretty cool, but I simply cannot pass the dragon

It'd be interesting to see a hardcore nuzlocke with no STAB moves allowed? Doesn't matter the game, I just think it could add an interesting challenge.
That sounds like hell. Quickly thinking about I think I would try to go with mostly normal type pokémon since they tend to get a pretty wide range of elemental moves. Early game would just be using your starter using tackle or something, though.
maybe the best one for that could be X and Y since it's so easy otherwise

LOVE the pokewalker encounters, they add so much to johto. Also love going all the way to Red, just would love to see you smack Lugia and the elite 4 rematch but was definitely a very fun challenge

Steel is my 2nd favorite type (1st one is grass), so I'm already excited for this haha

@@peerman042 It's the price to pay for eliminating grass' other 4 weaknesses; it's a worthy trade. It's grass after all, so there's not much you can do about 4x weaknesses haha.

Great Run. Excluding Safari Zone encounters (because they're a pain to set up and take too long), there were at least two more steel types you could have added to your team;
- Mawile: Route 9 (swarm) SS exclusive
- Wormadam Trash Cloak: Headbutt a tree on Route 38 by using Rock Climb, catch female Burmy and level it up inside a building/city

Already off to a great start by using my favorite type in the game, but then he goes a step farther and uses something I would never expect to see in a nuzlocke. Glad I subbed after the first video of yours I saw.

Do some randomizer nuzlocke! With similar strength Pokémon so you can't just sweep with an early game garchomp or something :))

You know even though you might not see this I have a suggestion called a Genlocke where you go through ever generation with champion battle survivers, So any Pokemon that survives the Kanto battle moves on to Johto as a Level 5 Mon until you get to Ultra sun.

Unreal. You used my favorite type, minimal Pokemon, and beat the game so dang easily! Sure, it took a bunch of prep, but you beat this game like it was nothing! Also, the Poké Walker idea was a genius idea. I never knew about the walker having that, so I would have never thought to do a start like that, but holy cow was that good. You really impressed me. That was awesome! Thanks for the show! Given hardcore already restricts legendaries and you do types as well i think walker pokemon can stand given some routes wont give you anything and number of routes usually is your baseline for max pokemon obtained. Plus since nuzlocks are just available for more fun by making a challenge if you’re limited by a type only available once in a walker or other situation it makes it very rare for your team so it still keeps that fun charge of how you need to use your resources

Man some of my favorites are steel type, I've always loved Scizor, Steelix, Skarmony, and Metagross. Fortress is one that took me a while to warm up to but is such a neat mon. Thanks for doing this run.

You can actually still get the Winner's Path and lots of other mystery gifts for gens 4 and 5 through the WFC! It requires a bit of set up but its not that complicated. And nice video, really enjoy your nuzlockes :)

The PokeWalker thing was fun, if not a little broken, given you get TR, Iron Head, and Zen Headbutt that early. You can probably even do the same for Monotype runs with Black & White 2 and the Dream Radar, too!

I can't speak for anybody else (I only started watching Nuzlockes this year), but I prefer you having as many options as possible. It's not everyday I get to see somebody use 'mons like Metagross, Magnazone, or Scizor for a playthrough (especially in Johto, which has way too limited options), so as far as I'm concerned, go wild. I already subscribed a while ago.
Not sure about the type, but personally, I just like regions that give a lot of options, like Kalos, Ultra Alola, and Galar. It's also why I prefer Platinum and Black 2/White 2 over the originals.
