@@kevinperry6009 one of the most nervous Men I’ve ever seen around people full stop!! He is not at all comfortable around people especially Women, some sort of anxiety thing going on.
I think the Alcohol helps him when he tries to interact, but it’s so cringeworthy as you’ve said.

hi eddie glad you enjoyed udon my home in 2005 ,its a great place to relax and enjoy the life there ,only reason im back in the uk is my thai wifes here now and im too old at 70 to live there .as you know medical insurance is sky high for us old timers.look forward to seeing your vlogs in cambodia ,good on yea buddy from scouse baz

Hi Eddy, great review. Apartment is ok for a single person but not cheap. All the citues are the same in Issan but Udon has a lot of tourists and ex-pats. You found the cheap Charlie shop. Lol. Cheers🎉

Stick to cold beers in the heat won't have much of a problem. No wine or spirits, a couple of beer free days a week, and rock on. Though guess nothing will stop the temperance mob...

Enjoyed that Eddie, l know that you often give prices/costs and l appreciate that info, but l've never been and watching Thai/Cambo/Laos vids gets me muddled up. , l'm going next January for 3 months, maybe more, l'd love you to chip in with "So, about £2.50" l keep having to leave the vids to go to the exchange rate site. So, about £275 for that room, incredible. Noticed the camera dropped to her pert bot as she let you in the room 😁

How did you find out tge accomodation in the first place ?
I live in Udon & I showed him it. They don’t have a front desk & give a card key to get in/out the building & it’s classed as a Hostel. They charge 500 THB/Night, 12,500 THB/Month with Utilities, room cleaning included. They also do another rate that doesn’t include Utilities or room cleaning but I can’t remember what that was now. If you want to see more on the place the following should take you to a Vid that shows it. The Vids 4 years old but the place is just the same. THE COFFEE STATION HOSTEL UDON THANI COFFEE CHILL TV.

I do not recommend you booking long term at Siem Reap. It has developed into a tourist trap.
Have a few days there to see what you think, then straight onto Phnom Penh.
Much better there.

actually the Room it's old style a d NOT Morden, also you didn't checked the bed and you said it's comfortable bed , also sadly you're back to alcohol badly...you're not going to Survive many years that will Damage your liver

It's less than 11 USD per day, including water and electricity. What more do you want?
Given that city that's pretty pricy still, hate to say it. In places like Rayong you can find some for 7000 Baht with a small kitchen and you're also close to water. You can't eat out everyday. It's still sustainable long term for older retired people
@@youngandfree93And you can get even lower prices if you move to some village in the boondocks. Eddie stayed in a fully serviced guesthouse for one month, and the price seems fair to me. Mate, you sound awfully like a Cheap Charlie.
I am not I have lived in Bangkok mostly in a western type of apartment for 40000 a month. But it has all the new necessary things. A western shower, full kitchen, stove and everything. Balcony view and gym below. Paying over 12000 for this way up in Isaan area isn't the best deal just sayin. Many Thais rent for much cheaper up there.
@@youngandfree93 Fine, but you are talking about an apartment, not a guesthouse. You can rent an place in Bangkok, not in the center, for less than 12,500 baht, but usually you have to sign a long term lease. I'm sure that when Eddie finally settles down in Cambodia he will find a nice condo for less money.

You can get it all over Thailand .Its twice the price of Thai beers in Thailand .

Too expensive for Udon Thani, I have a similar place in Jomtien near the beach for 11,000 Baht a month
Eddy was staying in what is classed as a Hostel not a Condo but there are 5 Condo complexes in Udon Thani City. All those for rent can be found on Udonproperty site. The smallest & cheapest are 28 sq.m at Kalpapruek Grand Park & Kalpapruek City Plus which have a separate bedroom & small kitchen. For 6 or 12 month leases they are asking between 6,500 & 7,500 THB/month rent.
Make sure you drink plenty of water in that heat especially when quaffing a few suds.
