Watching your February "What's Leaving" video and now this one has me returning my unopened copy of Blitzkrieg! for Caesar!
I'm trying like mad to keep my collection small, varied, and loved. I know I'll appreciate the map-based interaction even more, and the theme will definitely be more interesting to my family, so thank you for calling my attention to Caesar!
(It's not that I'm *that* excited about this, the exclamation points are just in the names... 😆)

I haven't played either but Caesar interests me more because of the spacial puzzle. I'm still not sure if this would get played much if I owned it, but would love to give it a try some day

Alex revealed that he is not actually holding the box but only the top of the box. My life is lie.

I was able to pick up Blitzkrieg! on a super good deal, but have not had a chance to try it yet.

I've you ever played Samurai by Knizia? I heard Caesar! is very similar to the gameplay of Samurai (masterpiece). Some people even says that you dont need Caesar! if you own Samurai, which I do! I would like to know your opinion on that! :)

I started off with battleline on tabletop simulator and I had some complaints in its design. All of my complaints were expertly addressed in Air, Land, & Sea and it’s one of my all time favorite 2 player games. From there I discovered blitzkrieg and was enamored by it because it seemed like Air, Land, & Sea if it was drawn out longer and over more theaters. I’ve played it a lot and over time my interest in it has waned a bit. The bomb locations are a possible win condition by making your opponent discard their hand. When this is combined with the blitzkrieg units to pull of a surprise two tile attack, it becomes particularly devastating. The more I’ve played, the more it seems like it’s really just a knife fight for control over the bomb locations until someone forces the others hand and either one person played poorly and loses via discard or they played well and evened out the discard amongst both players so then the game comes down to the straight score battle. It’s become less satisfying having to plan my whole strategy around getting the bombs or blocking the bombs. So I find myself preferring Air, Land, & Sea for a similar and faster feel. So I’m very curious about Caesar because I’m a fan of the designer.

@@nihlify He covered it briefly in the kickstarter video about a week and a half ago but there have been a lot of updates and changes since then, and it is also one of the big Gamefound campaigns this quarter so I am surprised he hasn't put out a separate video with it ending tomorrow.
