Totally blown away with the intricacy of your build. Put that video on your digital resume and get scooped by one of the major greenhouse operations.
I know this is a few years latter but the setup you have for the mixing bars is genius. Well done
Dude! THANK YOU for putting in the effort to share detailed info and code on your build. I've been wanting to do something like this but afraid of all the rabbit holes I know I will go down. Your work will greatly reduce wasted time and blind alleys in which I would no doubt have been mugged. :-)
Thanks so much for putting this together. As someone with many years experience coding on different platforms, I welcome you to the club. I look forward to more.
I am working on a hobby PLC automation for home food growth project and this is absolute GOLD
Super awesome! I’ve been following this channel for ages as it’s the only setup that seems well catered to setup greenhouse and aquaponic control for a setup I’d like to get going! Thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Not even into gardening, but I want to implement automatization in my shop and this series has answered many questions of mine.
Nice. I am doing the exact same thing with nodered. I really like how neatly you've organised everything. This will be really useful! Subscribed.
this looks absolutely incredible! I ran a grow facility for about eight years and did everything more or less manually. I didn’t even dream of doing something like this, but I’m really surprised cause this is exactly what I do in my house. Anyway, if I ever start growing again believe me I’ll be looking at your stuff. This looks really really cool. Good job man really awesome!
Awesome! Thanks for putting this together. Wanted something to log the water and ambient temp for my acuaphonic system, now I can do that and more!
Incredible! I am honestly surprised you shared this much info, but I'm grateful-your videos on their own were inspiration enough! Great work!
Thank you. I think it'd be really cool to see people push this forward and come up with some new ideas so sharing just makes sense.
Thank you for this. I find your system very comprehensive and the prototype build provides a nice foundation for projects alike. I'm also looking into doing a similar project, i'll find inspirations on this one to build something more optimized with creating individual modules and PCBs.
With an up and coming project to automate a bunch of home grow systems this is very useful thank you for providing this great information to the community I can't wait to fork the project and help bring out its fullest potential.
This rocks! Diy to the rescue. It is crazy how the market has overlooked all the small time growers out their. They only cater to big time grows with there 2k-20k system automation. Also their 2k-5k automation have half the bells and whistles this has. Look forward to seeing more. Thanks!
You are an incredible resource for us growers. Thank you for all the work you do in making this content.
Thanks a lot, man. The community in this niche is awesome.
Thank you for providing such insight. Your efforts will serve the whole society.
Love your set up !! After seeing the full automation series I bought a raspberry pi 4 and a few sensors to get started , thanks for the effort you've put in getting this idea out there 👏👏👏
Hey right on man, you'll love it.
great stuff. Thank you so much for the information and inspiration. I was doing a lot of the same type of soil/hydroponic gardening stuff already for years but with very limited, or 0 automation. In the last month or so tho been going about trying to implement a lot of ideas/concepts I've picked up on your channel and the struggle is REAL! especially with the coding related configurations. I have been learning a massive amount though, and its really added a significant amount of enjoyment to the hobby so thanks again and please keep the content coming!
Thanks! That's awesome, man. It's a steep learning curve but super rewarding.
I just Love it.. And thanks so much for putting all of this together. I am sure this will help so many people its unreal. Just so great you did this and shared it all.. Simply brilliant
Cheers, thank you.
Thank you so much for this! I've been wanting to start growing my own food, this will definitely be useful for me!
Beauty. Get to it!
Love the ingenuity with the magnetic stirring :D
Thanks for the great video. Great job with it all. I am in the planning phase for my system now.
This is awesome dude!! Thanks so much for sharing, subscribed and shared with a few people in my computer science program!
This is outstanding! I'm in the process of starting a similar project, though I had planned to use the "Mi Flora" sensors in the pots to control the pumps for irrigation and nutrients. I'm completely new to the world of Raspberry Pi and ESP32, but hopefully with the help of your examples, I can cobble together something that will get the job done. Thanks so much for posting all of this! You are a saint!
Yeah those sensors looks awesome. Best of luck!
Dude... thanks for all the hard work.. really helpful for me as 100% beginner.. a little python but that's it.. thanks again
Thanks man. That's really nice of you for sharing everything.
Thank you!
I’m definitely going to try out your repo and see how this works for me
That is a great set-up. I was wanting to automate my hydroponic systems. I currently grow in a 24 X 24 indoor grow house. Climate controlled etc.
Keep up the good work.. I will have a ton of questions when I can make time to start this adventure..
Wooow Super nice done!! Thanks I made simillar projects and really appreciate your time!! loved the idea of magnetic stirrer plates Very Very Sharp 🙏✌️
Bro you did such a fire job!!!! i have a same set up like yours with your code i will be unstoppable!!! Going to make some upgrades.
Great videos!!! I would really like to see more on how you create some of the dashboard functions like the schedule Grow Start Date and Current Week. Thanks for the vids!!
Wow man! Awesome job for being your 1st time! I'm trying to build my own rdwc system and automate it. You just made that process 100 times easier. Thanks so much!
Nice! Were you planning to go the home assistant route?
@@LEDGardener well now that you have a write up, i will. I have zero knowledge of how these microcontrollers work but i have good electric theory knowledge so having a guide like this is what im looking for to get started.
@@danxDD23 You sound like me when I started, not long ago. The drive to learn and the ability to persevere through some extremely frustrating roadblocks along the way is all you need to succeed.
@@LEDGardener yeah I imagine its gonna be a learning experience, but I got time and patience to learn this. Again thank you so much and im looking forward for future updates!
Fantastic. Thanks a lot. In my country is very difficult to buy. The biggest agro in the world manually.
Well done mate, I appreciate your effort and I implemented some stuff based on your videos.
you are a super genius! I have been hoping you would do this. I will have a million questions, but for now all I can say is THANK YOU!!!
Hahaha right on, dude.
Damn man ! Lot of respect from France, that is very inspiring✌🏻
One sweet setup man, love it.
Outstanding work!
Thanks for giving me the new hobby.
Man, I lose a lot of sleep thinking about what kind of cool shit I can add or modify.
This is so freaking dope! Programming is new to you!?! Dude! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks man 😎
How do people like u exist. I wish I become capable enough in life to have friends like you.
Thank you for pushing the human race forward. Every step no matter how small is a step forward.
Superb, just what i'm looking for to KickStart my manual hydroponics system and make life a little easier maybe lol. Please keep up the content it's Great
Cheers. I’ll be starting to publish again this month.
really looking forward to your review and testing on HLG's new SCORPION DIABLO ! keep up the great work.
Thanks for this wonderful job! People like you make the world a better place)
Hey, thank you!
Some people have just too much time on their hands!
Seriously impressive! Great project.
Aweasome gift again from you to0 the geek world!! Cheers !
Thanks for sharing bro, help me so much for my large scale greenhouse farming on golden melon
Awesome, been waiting for this 👍
Also joined the forum 💪
I've got tons of stuff coming in, can't wait to start building it!
See you on the forum 😎
Hey cheers motor. Good luck with your build and I'll do my best to help.
Awesome, Inspiring, Generous. Thank you.
Jesus this is amazing.
Just well well done and thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you very much!
I've been trying to figure a way to measure my reservoirs!! Weigh scale looks promising! Awesome work and thanks for sharing
It works great. I was concerned the scale would creep but I ran it for a good 6 months and checked calibration and I was only out something like a quart. Now I can easily calibrate the sensors from the interface too, so if I test it and find it's out of tolerance at a res change, it's an easy fix.
Huge! this is awesome thanks so much! Im running a pretty similar setup for my 3x3 tent
Dude, don't you know that the minimum size space to run this stuff in is a 20 acre greenhouse? At least that seems to be the consensus here - hahaha. I get flak for using a 4x6.
Thanks a lot for sharing, you did a great job!
Nice Job man, thanks for sharing!
Very well presented! Thanks for sharing. Will be helpful when I make some upgrades to my own system.
Thanks! What have you got going on with yours?
@@LEDGardener Well I started with aeroponics using compressed air and nozzles that take an air and water mix, but I'm moving into soil. It's pretty loud and I think I can get better tasting plants with soil. Right now I'm building a soil, 1/3 vermicompost, 1/3 CSPM , 1/3 pumice, with neem, karanja, gypsum dust, basalt dust, and oyster shell. Throwing in worms and cover cropping with clovers. Automation is going to be pretty minimal at first but I might try to run some temp humidity on home automation like you are. I also really like that flood trigger. Maybe even a camera! Might water using blumat. Going to do it all in a 4x8 grow bed in a 5x9 tent.
Nice job. Love it!!!!
Dude your awesome! Thank-you for this
Sweet setup
Wow you posted eveything? That's hardcore. You're a badass. I also don't know anything about programming aside from copy n pasting html, Javascript and maybe stuff for my 3d printers codes.
Arduino and raspberry pi I haven't messed with but wanted to. My current system takes a lot of what's already out there and uses it differently but yours is very much custom.
I'd love to incorporate the ph and nutrient automation but I'm also new to gardening so I don't really know what ppm is needed and recently got over root rot so Im trying to figure out why my ppm is going up daily lol
You're the man, ledg.
Ehhh, circle!
Excellent video. Thank you.
Love your videos. Can you show more on the produce? To see the results of all the automation
Every time I watch your videos I’m absolutely astounded. I wish I had the intelligence to get something like this off the ground
eh, thanks CC. I think time and motivation is the key for something like this. There's so much info on youtube and everywhere else, you just have to be driven to find it and apply it!
@@LEDGardener some funny shit.... soon as I watched your first video I ordered a raspberry pi4 and some relays. I don’t even got a fucking computer hahaha. I’m gonna try to get it set up tho. Soon. Keep ya updated
This is really impressive!
Ignore the 2 thumbs down, you have done an amazing job, this the best automation system ive seen, thank you for sharing, im going to have a look at building this system, as complete automation and of course live data 24 7 anywhere is very appealing. Great job, you dont think you do but you've got skills kid.
Thanks a lot, man. Best of luck with yours.
This is gorgeous, thank you
So bad ass!! Thank you so much for sharing all of this!! Much love from @Camorragardens!
Hey buddy, cheers. I see your DC audio vid from way back when. That's a beaut - I used to be into car audio too. Ran some DD 9512s off a pair of Z1s, tried some Atomic stuff, RE, and eventually settled on a Fi SP415 running off of a DC Audio 3.5k with a pair of G31 deep cycles. Fun stuff.
@@LEDGardener ooooo!! My guy!! Those Fi are gorgeous!! Nice choice on dc Amp. I miss my subs. Im trying to get some Fi soon! I live in Vegas, n they're local... hehehe...
Thanks bro.. Its very helpful
This is hugely impressive for a first go at coding and electronics. I'm trying to get started with some automation projects for my hydroponics as a hobbyist myself, and I'm curious how long it took you to learn what you needed and successfully execute this design.
Thanks for sharing this!
Bro thankyou I’m gonna start this build soon
Thank you so much for sharing.
As a relative beginner it's going to take me quite some time to process the information you've provided, so I can't leave any kind of constructive feedback for you (which you refreshingly seem to respond well to), but I did at least want to take the time to say thanks and thanks for going metric!! Hehe
Heheh. I appreciate it. Best of luck if you start your own project!
Duder, using a simple scale to know how much nutrient solution you have....alright...you got me... I am hooked.....
"DIY magnetic stirring system"....Yea...I am watching every single video of yours tonight....
Hahaha
I really need this set up
Thank you! amazing stuff here!!!
Cheers! Hope it proves helpful.
Very impressive 👏🏼
Thanks for the video.
FYI 1L of just water = 1Kg. Water with anything added has a higher density & therefore a higher weight.
Eg 1L of milk ≠ 1Kg. Something to consider iff you want accurate dosing.
Keep up the great work, Watched all of your vids
Hey Flux, thank you. I think with something like 10-20mL of liquid nutrients mixed in per liter, it should be negligible, no?
Love it. Thanks bro!
Holy mackerel, that's quite a setup. I hope you're growing a crop that makes all this trouble worth it. :)
I'm growing canola in a 4x4 to bottle my own craft canola oil
@@LEDGardener Because calling it rapeseed is too controversial
@Cannanadian Jay Hahaha. Never hear anyone call it that here.
Maybe it’s something that would get demonetized
@@Cannanadian Funny how Canola oil just sounds so much more appetizing than Rapeseed oil!
This is amazing, thank you so much
Hermoso es una obra de arte ❤
Thanks for sharing!
Holy shit this is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Cheers, compost
I have a new grow room setup and have been learning HA. Thanks for the great vid. I'm going to try a slightly less Arduino based route though. Hoping to automate out of HA. I fear I may be limited by what HA will read from though. 🤔
Nice work!
I would love a video on the calibration side of this controller.
dope setup
Keep it going!
Very cool, 1 000 000 👍from Russia which love👍
Beautiful looks similar to mine
Thank you so much bro!
I love these videos
I kinda went on to learn node red after watching your videos.
So now that I've gotten the hang of it, you released your code 😅
Figure I'll use a blend of both 👍
Yeah, my system never ran node red since I got used to yaml... I would love to convert this all though. Wanna do it for me? Ha!
@@LEDGardener you're probably a few steps ahead of me tho.
I've dwelled in some programming before, but most of it was 10 years back so I kind of dove into it again with a cleared mind 😅
I'm figuring once the relays, ESP and sensors get here I'll get cracking 👍
I will share whatever futile progress I make on the forum 😊
Now, I also feel I might have to take a look at how you did it.
Until now I've just used a buzzer to emulate relay trigger, and sliders to emulate sensor values.
Just so I could set up sequences in node-red.
I'll be running this on a Rdwc drain-to-waste system 😊
I just completed a modified version of this build that enables OTA updates for the control box esp32 using the Arduino IDE. Awesome work man and I just want to say thank you for saving me weeks of my life. If I had to take a guess I would say electrical engineer, controls designer, or plc operator?
Right on, man. Nice work.
I’ve been working in low voltage for the past 10 years or so and have also gotten into programming in the last couple years and love it.
Excelente!
My dream Setup for automation dosimeter 👍👍
Please make a product
I will buying
Hey, I absolutely am in love with this project and looking to very closely replicate it! One question I have for you is how did you make the connections into the Arduino underneath the Tentacle shield? With DuPont connectors I was finding that the shield then would not snuggly fit into the Arduino. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Dude killing it. You have what I dream of
czcams.com/video/ZXsQAXx_ao0/video.html
@@LEDGardener hahaha I know but my excuse is I have so many other projects that are already started when I finish them then I'll pick this up
@@jPapapot okay you get a pass on this one...
How's it going jP?
@@circle4922 good. Just busy but also unmotivated to do CZcams.
Hi! Where do you pump the nutritients? Do you pump it right into the reservoir? And how do you make sure, that the system will make the right EC? Is it constantly checking ec and then stopping or based on a timer? Thanks
Thank you
