I find myself agreeing with your observation of the 3 bands' traits. The Hatters make nice, balanced songs I wouldn't mind listening to on a regular basis, Little Big are good with satire/allegory on serious themes, and Leningrad make videos chock full of tiny details I noticed only when watching for 2-nd / 3-rd time (even if I their songs are, imo, kinda meh).
I agree and at the Leningrad videos sometimes you need some background knowledge about russian culture to recognize/understand small nuances in the imagery they use. for example in this video, the second guy she saw after leaving the toilets with the dark beard is supposed to represent a holy icon of the russian orthodox church and the light in the background symbolizes his halo from paintings in churches (I think the first guy is supposed to represent the devil, at least I suspect it, because his hair looks like horns in front of the backlight but maybe I’m wrong and he is also from a russian orthodox icon painting)
