Hell yeah! Cant wait to see this all done. I'm doing the same with my 2000 gt but using a 3650. A good almost 5 tenths of a second diff in quarter mile time. Manual for the win!

Hey man i know this is a older video but bama is telling me they cant write a auto to manual tune with the automatic ecu is this true ive heard people getting it fone by them and not switching ecus out
Truly I’ve heard the same, even recently.. I truly need to make a video on how I turned the automatic switches off and use my ECU for my car.. I’m still using my stock ECU and have no automatic functions enabled, I’ve been asked before for a how to.. I’m going to make one very soon for everyone.. you will need the SCT proracer software for the changes though. And Baka may not have access to all of the same functions the pro racer software enables.
Perfect man thank you thank you thank you talked to bama and they did say I need the manual ecu to tune and they said they will disable pats so I guess that's just what I'm gonna have to do sadly car is running with the t45 in having minor issues making me think its the tune
@@haydenmidyette8918 it could very well be, a lot of settings do get “switched off” to eliminate the OD light, a CEL for the trans solenoids, and idle stuff as when changing gears and coming to a stop. Truly I’m still tuning the idle changes but they are the same kind of things that happen to all of these cars “hanging idle,etc”
Yeah coming to a stop she bounces on idle a whole bunch and on start up she jumped to like 2 grand but other than that she feels amazing wild to drive a car that was previously an auto and now a manual

have a 03 cobra ima be replacing the t56 with a t56 magnum and putting the t56 into a auto mach 1 . any pointers or anything i should keep my eyes open for? would i need a 6 speed ecu ?
I think you should be fine on the ecu, I would get ahold of lasota racing to see if there are any changes that need made as far as timing tables for the shifts. I personally am not that far yet, but using the manual VB in my car it wasn’t any different other than the P/D light flashing constantly. Make sure you get the manual cars trans wiring harness to plug into your car, makes it so much easier!
Hello friend how are you, I did the same as you in that video with my current mustang v6 year 2000 I put a t45 on it but I have 3 problems one with the mileage reading on the dashboard gives me twice the mileage when I drive, the second vibrates me When I started the car, they told me to change the flywheel for one that has weights. Did you have any of those problems? and sorry for the inconvenience.. oh I don't speak English I translated everything haha
I actually just made a new video on here this weekend, it explains the speedometer and how I fixed it. As far as vibration I’ve had no issues, but a 4.6 is internally balanced.. the v6 may not be.

Everything I needed minus the tuning, unless you use a manual ECU and have PATS disabled. Thats the easiest way.

Truly I won’t be, I have the pro racer software from SCT so I will go in the tune and disable the trans functions, but it really shouldn’t matter anyway because my auto trans has a manual valvebody in it currently anyway. The only issue I have is the O/D light flashes.. I’ll just remove the bulb for it. I also will have a check engine light because of shift solenoid “errors” like I do now as well. So truly I won’t worry about any of that, but I’m going to check the tune and see if and where I can disable the auto trans functions and make it like a manual trans car.

Honestly. Don’t think a t45 will work because I’m about 100% sure they are a modular engine bellhousing.. I think a t5 may be your best bet. But don’t quote me on that, look into it to be absolutely sure!
what programer didi u use or did u switch ecm
I have an SCT x4 and I changed the tune myself. I actually have a few videos that go into what changes to make in the tune for a manual swap if you have the advantage 3 software from SCT.

@@edyramirez9683 possibly, but if all else fails you can just disable VATS in the ECU with proracer software. Or your local tuner can for you if it doesn’t.

Do you need a new ecu?
So far I’m not finding that I will need the new ecu. I run a manual VB in the car as it is, so I’m going to be setting it up the same way since the ecu doesn’t control the shifts now as it is. I have the pro racer software from SCT so I’m going to see what all I need to do to eliminate the check engine light, and I’ll just remove the O/D (overdrive off)bulb in the gauge cluster.
It’s cheaper to make a deal at a junk yard or buy a whole wrecked car the 1994-04 mustang GT’s are 1000 bucks on copart
