I love that he only tells her to not eat the pigeons if YOU tell him to. Peak cat owner behavior, just let the little gremlins get away with anything they want
We all know cats domesticated humans, and not the other way around. Why do you think there are millions of videos of "I don't own a cat." Yet, there clearly is a cat that now owns your apartment, or house, and you. And next thing you know they got you building catios.
Fun fact: If you manage to piss Tara off she'll cast a Fireball at you in retaliation, and if you complain to Gale about it the dialogue is peak cat owner: Gale: It was so nice to see Tara again, I feared she might have given up on me. Suppose I have known better, she'd never do such a thing Tav: SHE LAUNCHED A FIREBALL AT ME GALE Gale: Ah well, I'm sure she had her reasons :)
minor spoiler for Gales orgin story you can meet Tara (the tressym here) early on if you follow his orgin story. I feel she is pretty much underated compared to the more well known Owlbear cub or Scratch. But it might be because those two are more easy to find in act 1.
Found her by accident while looking for clues about the murders, but she didn't talked at all even though i had Gale with me haha, this game is full of surprises
You need Speak With Animals active. Tressym can understand Common just fine, but they cannot actually speak any language but their own (Tressymspeak). Gale can understand her just fine specifically because she is his familiar, and thus they share a permanent telepathic link. For anyone else, they would need the aid of alternate magic to understand her.
@@smartyben101 In Act 1, there is a Gnoll boss that you fight and kill. The two guys were protecting a Box that has an Iron Flask inside it! You can deliver the strongbox, UNOPENED, to the Zhentarim Hideout and collect the reward which is a very good Heavy Crossbow, then steal that box from their leader and kill them if you want. Anyhow, that Strongbox contains an Iron Flask! Double clicking on that Iron Flask unleashes a Spectator that you must fight for just XP!

*Tressym friend. Not pet owner

Then there’s undercover cat person Astarion who disapproves if you tell her to stop

She is quite sweet and caring here, not as when you meet her with others
well towards gale she is also sweet in that version. but yeah, this version is especially cute
The most accurate cat behavior. She loves Gale with all her heart, and everybody else is to be addressed as briefly as possible.
Best part of Gale origin playthrough
“I know, I know, but I just love you so”
🥺
Genuinely tearing up from this. Tara is amazing.
Awww I love that she tells him she loves him 💜
Gale, you're supposed to stop her eating them!
The birds can't be saved with just Gale on his own then.

You need to cast animal speaking
Or let Gale be the one to talk with her first.
surprises and bugs

OK has anyone tried summoning the Spectator you got from the Flask in Act 1 in front of Tara?!
wait, spectator from a flask?

@@MALEMizationi dont know about the flask but apparently theres beholder jerky in the gith creche, tho idk what happens if u bring some for her
@@hayato.32 Best guess is you hand it over as Gale and she stops eating the birds, prolly only way as gale origin to do so
Does Beholder jerky exist as a consumable in this game? I bet Gale would offer her some if he had it in his inventory.
There's an item called Boiled Beholder Eyestalks that might work
There is some in the Githyanki Creche
You can control Gale and use him to kill Tara and he goes "Tara, no!". Just Durge things =]
Nooooo poor pigeons! Bad cat!
Ok, enjoy your meal... and have you considered applying for a job with the post? She can fly, it seems like such an obvious option to suggest?
