- Partisans surprise a German post in this clip from the 1978 TV mini-series 'Holocaust'. I've uploaded from this series before (many years ago) but this French dubbed version is the best quality copy I've ever seen.
And the quality is excellent!
Yes, this is the best picture quality I've seen of this series before. It just shows that out there somewhere there is a better copy than those released in English!

Ambush scenes are the BEST! One-sided slaughters are so HOT... especially guys getting mowed down by concealed machine guns when they have no chance of returning fire. In a matter of moments, the battlefield is littered with dead soldiers!

Interesting
The knife to the soldier's belly at 0:32 was my favorite. Up close and personal too. And, although we didn't get a good look at it entering his gut, you could hear the unmistakable sound of steel slicing through belly meat.
That has gotta hurt, but he took his cold steel well!
@@foreverblueclassics Took it deep in his belly. That soldier's gut ate the full length of the blade. Woulda loved a look at it sticking out of his stomach as he lied in the dirt holding it. Even better, I would give ANYTHING to be there to yank it out and service another fighting man's gut with it. It should never be one-and-done with a combat knife.

I don't recall this scene! Good use of the "potato masher: grenades. I don't think that the Germans themselves used them.
It's the best scene in the whole series for me! I'm glad you liked it!
