Good stuff. I swapped a 105 amp cs-130 for a 220 amp ad-244 as well as a big 3 and I never see my voltage come off of 14~ ever! I had to clock the alternator though - because the charging post was sitting right on top of a power steering line. I clocked the rear 90 degrees clockwise ... and it fit like a glove.
I remember in 1989 you could get a rebuilt alternator from AC Delco that was a 130 amp .. I got the part number out of a Hot Rod Magazine article, and there was an AC Delco parts depot right near me. I think I still have it. It was in my 68 Chevelle.
This is exactly what I need. I have an 87 blazer 350 and the alternator (2pin)has been swapped to a serpentine belt instead of a v belt . Auto parts store only has serp belt with a 4 pin plug. Should I upgrade to your setup for more juice or buy a a harness from 4to 2 pin. Any suggestions will help.
You have to swap a serpentine belt pulley onto the SI type V belt alternator to keep it. If you haven’t been wanting for charging, just swap pulleys and drive happy.

CS144 Takes same plug as CS130 (old) square 4 pigtail.

Can you post the link for the adapters please
Mount adapter or wiring adapter?
If I have the battery light in the dash should I use a resistor?
An incandescent bulb acts as a resistor so one is not needed. However, just a gauge or a LED bulb means a resistor is needed in the alternator.
@@timsteachablemoments1786 ok, i believe the bulb is incandescent, I might try to remove it and replace with resistor.
