    Where is your XLR plugged into on your board (The one that runs to mic1 on the ATEM)? Do you do anything on the audio of your Restream?

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před rokem

      The XLR is plugged into a sub-mix output on our board. So from the audio mixer, we assign a sub-group (monitor mix, basically) to a certain output. Then, we come from that output directly into the ATEM. We only use volume controls in the ATEM if need be, nothing else. We pretty much control the audio volume and mixes from the actual audio mixer.

    Hello,
    I was viewing your video and find it interesting. I have a question regarding connecting my PTZ camera. I have the Atem 1ME rackmount and i am trying to connect my PTZ camera to it but for some reason when i connect the camera via SDI or HDMI my Atem does not see any video signal. I am wondering how can i get my Atem switcher to see the video signal coming from my PTZ camera? Your help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před rokem

      There are a variety of ways to do this. With the PTZ camera itself, you can do a preset movement and just slow the speed way down. Then when you recall the preset, it will slowly move to it.
      The other way is to do it digitally in post production.
      The other way is to do it by hand, and just be good with the controls.
      But yeah, you can turn down the speed pretty low. But I don't think you'll get the Ken Burns kind of slow speed --- you could if you do it manually with a joystick - not sure about the preset speed.

  • @GaryCJacot

    How do you change the title of each stream before going live on CZcams with this system ? Do you need to copy a separate link into the software for each individual live stream ? If you pre schedule all of your CZcams videos can you just go live at the right time on the camera and have it pick up that scheduled livestream?

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před 2 měsíci +1

      You can pre-schedule, but each one will have a unique stream key. So you will have to copy/paste it into the ATEM each time. An alternative would be something like Restream.io which handles the publishing through an API connection. Then you just login before your next stream and tell Restream what the title will be (or connect it to the next rescheduled event), then you don't have to change stream keys in the ATEM.
      Hope that helps.

    With sound coming from a Behringer 32x compact, why would I connect to the Atem instead of going straight to the computer and Propresenter 7?

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před 2 lety

      If you're using a streaming PC - or if you're using Pro Presenter to stream, it makes sense to send audio straight to your encoder - which would be the PC. If you're streaming from the ATEM Mini Pro, (this video is showing that method) you have to run audio to the ATEM to get it into the stream. If you're just using the ATEM as a video switcher, I would recommend running the audio into whatever machine you are using.

    Hi, I didn't understand how to send the video signal from the PTZ to the atem mini as video source. HDMI? NDI? Thank you

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před 2 lety

      There are several ways - the most direct is HDMI cables. You can also do SDI with HDMI converters at the ATEM end. The ATEM currently doesn't to have NDI capability, but you can get an NDI decoder that will give you an HDMI output if you choose NDI. I like the HDMI connection the best under 100' with fiber optic HDMI cables. And over 100' I like to go with SDI and a powered converter.

  • @richardwallace2715
    @richardwallace2715 Před 2 lety

    I have 2 cameras and a controller that all hook into a POE hub. #1 Do I still need the HDMI fiber optic? If not, how do I now go from my POE hub to computer to live stream? My controller has no output.

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před 2 lety

      A controller is just that, a controller. It's not a switcher or an encoder, so it won't actually do an output to a live stream. The cameras need something to "capture" their signal and either encode or input into a computer to encode through software.
      So, if you only have Ethernet, you would need NDI-enabled cameras and an NDI-enabled encoder or switcher to pull that signal from the network. Otherwise, you'll need the HDMI or an SDI cable to bring the video signal to your switcher/capture card.
      In most cases outside of NDI equipment, the POE and Ethernet are just to get the camera on the network so you can control it remotely. That's the only way your controllers have to communicate to the camera is the network. So the ethernet is for camera control and power (POE) but the HDMI or SDI cable will be for the actual video image.

    I have the ATEM Mini connected to the cameras by HDMI. But i noticed that even when I select auto on the ATEM and designate a time for switching between cameras, nothing happens. What am i doing wrong?

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před 2 lety

      Auto is just the transition effect. The time duration is how long that transition effect will take. Is it going to cross-dissolve, for example, in half a second or over 2 seconds? It's not a timer for auto-transitioning between cameras. The ATEM on its own does not do auto switching. With auto selected, you would still have to push the buttons to get it to switch.

      @@ChurchSetup So if you want to capture several areas at the same time - different angles with different cameras, is that possible with the ATEM Mini Pro?

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před 2 lety

      @@elderandrews4884 I'm not sure I understand the question. But the ATEM Mini Pro captures 4 cameras, but the recording/live stream can only show one at a time (unless you're taling picture in picture). However, the ATEM Mini Pro ISO can record all 4 cameras individually at the same time, so you can mix all angles later.
      If that wasn't what you were asking, try me again. :)

    Why are you using Fiber HDMI when you are using NDI cameras? Why not just carry the video to the switcher over NDI? you just need an NDI decoder at the switcher.

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před 2 lety

      With our ATEM kits, we don't sell the NDI version of the camera. We may have used one in the example, but adding additional hardware is unnecessary and more expensive just to cut down from 2 cables to one.

    Nobody has made an network Hub since 2001... That is a PoE network Switch. good video but you have many incorrect terms in use. Also really not a good idea to rely on DHCP IP addresses when you are having to tell your controller to talk to a specific IP. Many Routers release/renew IP addresses after 1 week. If one of your camera's is off when it does, it may give the address that your camera had to another device, then when camera comes up, it gets a different address, and now your controller doesn't work anymore. Better to statically set all devices in a range of IPs outside of the DHCP pool, this way it will stay that way regardless of power outage, or Router change.

    • @ChurchSetup
      @ChurchSetup  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Mark. For most people, calling it a switch or a hub doesn't really make a difference. 😀
      I have found using the term hub, especially during tech support calls, often helps our customers avoid confusion between "switcher" and "switch."
      Thanks for the recommendations. For most churches, there's no way to remove the possibility of DHCP interference. Even with password-protected WIFI, that password has a way of getting around. 😀
