Lyrics:
Don't ya love her madly
Don't ya need her badly
Don't ya love her ways
Tell me what you say
Don't ya love her madly
Wanna be her daddy
Don't ya love her face
Don't ya love her as she's walkin' out the door
Like she did one thousand times before
Don't ya love her ways
Tell me what you say
Don't ya love her as she's walkin' out the door
All your love
All your love
All your love
All your love
All your love is gone
So sing a lonely song
Of a deep blue dream
Seven horses seem to be on the mark
Yeah, don't you love her
Don't you love her as she's walkin' out the door
All your love
All your love
All your love
Yeah, all your love is gone
So sing a lonely song
Of a deep blue dream
Seven horses seem to be on the mark
Well, don't ya love her madly
Don't ya love her madly
Don't ya love her madly
49 years after this comes out, a 20 something listens to this after a break up... Good music is forever. We are not.
Yup.
I are always 15
You are not lying. 🚪As she walks out the door💔❤️🩹
Yep Jim Morrison knew not to love a girl madly.
I can dig that
The talent level of musicians from the 60's and 70's are unbelievable!!!!

@@jamilaandersson4778 I connect with their music on so many levels. Jim was such a genius and I mean literally, he had an iq of 149, the band achieved in only 3 years , everything we know. No other band did what they did in 3 years and it's not even close .Believe me, any rock musician that ever picked up an instrument knows who the Doors are.

Robbie's pretty tame on this great track.

You just ruined it for me... for 50 yrs I sang 'seven horse seem... two feet under mars'! lol
I'd make a time machine just to see the Doors..
I feel that way about a lot of bands who either aren't together or have lost important members.
The doors would be number one! Nobody could replicate their style and nobody ever will!
+Derpancakes dude im saying id OD with him too
+mrnorthwoodsbob He didn't kill himself u dumbass, he died from a stomach Ulcer and making fun of the dead probably isn't the best idea.
+Raymond Rodriguez He died of a heroin OD, in his bathtub in paris.
Jim says "man, if we only had a bass player....Ray - "I'll do it". Jim - "but we need you on keyboard, Ray"... Ray - "ok, so I'll do both at once".
David Edward Ray’s a fucking legend. ☺️
...Jim didn't know what a bass was !
Bass part was done by Jerry Scheff, earning his living as studio bassist. Played earlier with Elvis Presley.
He was the doors man.
@@InstanceOfChris yes!! He did the whole album! Morrison was blown away over working with Elvis's current bass player!
Impossible song not to fall in love with! Absolutely exceptional 👏
I love this song madly
@ 1:26 when Jim hits those notes right to the beat of that awesome drum. Best part of the song and gives me goosebumps. Man the melodies to that rhythm. No band feels like the doors. They're a musical entity all onto themselves. Such era specific music (counterculture) but absolutely timeless.
The only newer band that copied the doors ( which I hate but ill admit it. I'm a metal head thrash and death metal is my poison) " smash mouth " during the 90s they did the keyboard thing the same way the doors did. Like I said i hate smash mouth's music and them but ill give them credit for it. They added keyboards into there songs. It really reminded me of the doors. I'm a musician myself i know how to play guitar, bass. Drums, banjo, acoustic guitar, little bit of piano, vocals. My next instrument to master is a violin or fiddle it's basically played the same way as a guitar. Wanna start a blue grass band eventually. I have in my mind 3 bands to make just gotta get it down on record. Thrash metal band, blue grass band and a acoustic guitar, 2 electric guitars instrumentals no drums no vocals it's just musick
1:43 is also amazing
I’ve been listening to this all day intently as you did. Jerry Scheff, a bassist who had just finished up with Elvis, and Jim being being such an Elvis fan went wild. I love what he adds so much while preferring the hypnotic style of Ray’s left hand. They wanted something stronger in volume and they got it! I love these guys so!
@@MADMAX-vd8pr lets start a kpop boyband bro
Right on
He had such a great voice.
@Patricia Ricca - And that wasn't all he had that was great, girl!! Don't you remember those skin-tight black leather low-rise pants he wore? I watch The Doors Movie on youtube just to see him again in those pants - very much alive and WORKIN' IT!!
Best "monotone" singer in history
Great voice, unbelievable talent, one of my all time favorite singers
@@DJloudpack3208 - I'm NOT talking about that movie. I wouldn't even watch it because it was another of Oliver Stone's mind fantasies that did not depict JM as he was. Val Kilmer WISHES he was Jim Morrison. I'm talking about the movie that Jim made, "Feast of Friends" and The Doors (Documental).
@@festivelady826 Feast of Friends? not familiar with that documentary. I'll have to add it to my list.
Proof that the daddy kink was a thing even back then
it has always been a thing, in ancient Greece the same word applied to both- kyrios (lord). In Ovid's Metamorphoses Myrrha goes to see her father Cinyras disguised as a prostitute, she calls him daddy and he, unknowingly, calls her daughter.
It was referred to in almost every Hank Williams song
Also I think Elvis used it. Then again he WAS in to little girls...
Interesting.
Its a Mummy kink always has been
Does this mean it's finally old enough to die?
Ray Manzarek was The God of Keyboards! And I’m serious! RIP Ray! You where the best!

Jim Morrison had a marvelous VOICE. With a bit of fine tuning, this guy could've been an OPERA singer..ha ha ha!!!
with a bit of fine tuning his voice wouldnt be as appealing
Doors songs always had a solid beat with a great riff.
They play this song at my work sometimes. And I love The Doors so it always makes me smile like an idiot.
Wal-Mart?
2 things. 1 I'd love to work where you do. 2 your not an idiot because when I hear the Doors on my local radio station I too smile[which I rarely do] which is beyond me why them play them once in 2-3 weeks!
I was working at a Pet food store of all places. We listened to a classic rock music station, which included all sorts of 70's and 80's bands like Pink Floyd, The Beatles and of course....The Doors. It was great. I quit the job to go off to college but that is one part of it I definitely miss.
linkfan160 Of all places indeed! thank goodness i'm a pet guy so I could do that :)
You’re not an idiot if this band makes you smile. The Doors are iconic legends, and Jimmy has a one of a kind voice that no one can mimic, Another one of my faves is Tupac Shakur, a rapper different from other mainstream rappers. Pac and Jimmy were in my opinion, the best at what they did....turn poetry into music.
I do... 42 years..
George Gilkenson :-)
Nicely done, sir!
You are one good dude! 42 years holy... My Parents are married 36 and I'm so proud.
Last generation was fairly simple and the one before, that was easy. Now, you'd be lucky to find a woman worth putting a stone on it. Horrible out here! Enjoy your Marriage G.

Ya old fart
There was so much good music over the span of the 50's through the 70's, I never bother to venture anywhere else...since I first fell in love with Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, and then the Motown Sound.
Magnificent band and Jim had the perfect voice ! The Doors ROCKS 😍
Listen to that organ! These guys were fantastic musicians.
fantastic vocal of Jim Morrison and brilliant group The Doors!
Brilliant Masterpiece from Jim Morrison & The Doors, I have loved this group for over 50 years, this song is the best, really touches your heart, masterpiece forever
Love his voice madly x
Still love it also over a large distance particularly in Germany; the Doors were famous everywhere. But I don‘t know if the ever had concerts in Europe?! I heard this song for the first time and mostly on AFN (American Forces Network). 🎼
Bye, bye 🤝and have a good time 🕒
My dad owned a bar back in the 60s and 70s. I still have the 45 record of this song. I was 8 years old in 1971.

Thank you for the information, Jim was a legendary musician
James Douglas Morrison!!!! Ich war 16, als er im Juli 1971 starb. Erinnere mich genau. War im Urlaub und es kam in den Nachrichten. Habe heute noch ganz viele LPs und höre sie regelmäßig. Was diese Musiker ohne viel Schnickschnack geschafft haben! Wahnsinn! Heute kann man die Hälfte in die Tonne kloppen.
I agree. The Majority of artists today 2024 are Absolute Garbage!! Cheers From Canada.🇨🇦 🎵 🎶
Still loving it ! The doors for ever 🤟🏿
Gone 50 years - WOW. So talented and mesmerizingly handsome. Get the time machine working - time for a trip back to this special, once of-a-lifetime period in our young teen lives.
Love this song. Reminds me of Forest Gump. My first and only love was obsessed with Jim Morrison. I always loved The Doors.
Thanks, Man! Rock On!
Exactly this song was on the scene where Jenny left her abusive boyfriend on New Year's
A great percussive drummer John Densmore!!✌😊
This tune have timeless beauty, its pure poetry, emotion and express genius music talent of all The Doors members...

From the spring of 71, this was a big hit. I had a 63 Rambler American. I can still see the pollen on the windshield. Good times being 18! The druming and everything else was perfect. Unfortunately, Jim was no longer with us

From May of 71. I can still see the pollen on my windshield. Outstanding hit for the Doors. Robby Krieger was tasteful. Glad they had this one in the cam before Jim died!
The Doors were/are the best thing to come out of the USA. With love from.🇨🇦🇨🇦
From what I read the first time Morrison was heard singing was when he sang Louie Louie to wind up his friend at a concert - I think it was actually Ray Manzarek. He wasn't a trained singer, he just sang when The Doors had started forming & sang his poetry as they were jamming. Luckily for everyone, the chance meetings between The Doors band members mean we can hear one of the most soulful voices in the world. Because had they not met up one day at the beach, Jim Morrison may never have taken up singing.
Ray's keyboards are so amazing man
I thought him everything he knows
+grim reaper Taught*?
+grim reaper. Liar!!!!! I taught Ray 😎😎😎...just call me Stevie for short! tee hee hee ya just gotta love us Doors fans. Been one 4 over 44 years now and there is NO other band that even comes close to the gift they had.

My brother was a big Doors fan and I must say they made quite a few top notch tracks hence their deserved cult status.
This Song Went To Number 11 On The Billboard Hot-100 Chart In 1971.
A masterpiece, in all its beautiful pieces. 💜
To all of those who can't hear properly, it 'Wanna MEET her Daddy'. Robbie Kreiger talked about that particular lyric on a BBC TV program about tha album.
It's funny that when people think about the doors they think about dark, deep and almost depressing songs, like the end, people are strange and riders on the storm, when they had also songs like this one. With an upbeat rythm and cheerful melodies.
Was recently walking by the Whisky A Go Go on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood and just imaging The Doors playing there and the scene on the street back in 1969, indeed as previous commenters mentioned a time machine, sure wish there was one!
John Densmore killing it on the drums again with not much notice
What amazing things did we not get to hear from him...always wonder....

This is excellent. A question and a statement it asks at the same time.
Hmmm. Never liked that one but I can see that. LIke a warning? And what is "Two feet on the mark." I don't know but it sounds good. That's what's great about his lyrics. I like uh "Hello, I love you" for the lyrics. LA Woman is my favorite Doors song. Light my Fire when I was a kid.
Interesting remarks. Although "Light My Fire" is memorable from childhood. Yeah.
+Natelle B. My fav. is Soul Kitchen....I saw them twice and they closed both their concert with that....it went on 4 about 20 minutes and it was outstanding as we're they.
