- Ello, I made a version of blackened with enhanced bass, I hope you guys like it. I was a little worried that the bass was too quiet but idk maybe that's just me, also let me know what you think in the comments! (P.S this is also my first time enhancing the bass on a song, so please do not judge my work, I still need to get better at doing it)

In 1989' I was 13 queensryche opened for Metallica in Buffalo. There first time headlining. They opened up with this song. I was in first row. A never forget Metallica moment every time I hear Blackened
I was 13 as well. Saw the same lineup in Tulsa. Way crappier seats, but friggin awesome. 80s concerts were the sh*t🤟

The start of this song takes me back to being 12 n putting this tape in my Walkman. I will never forget this album ever! Edit I was far to young to notice the lack of bass. TBH I cannot hear it here either 😂

If you listen to this album on a good system, you can hear the bass through out the entire album. It's there, just buried in the mix.

The drums in this album is nothing less than brilliant. One of the best drums composition and execution in any album of any artist.

Who do you think wrote the parts?? Yeah Lars’s timing is a little off, but give the man his due. He wrote some unique and killer drum parts.
I honestly feel like people exaggerate WAY too much about Lars being a so called "Terrible" drummer, I feel like Metallica wouldn't be the band they are today without Lars
Lol this actually sounds worse with the “enhanced bass” than the original. I never understood the issue with the way Justice sounded. It is an incredibly progressive album. It’s about political corruption, religious hypocrisy, war, etc. The bleakness of the sound goes well with the subject matter.
Lol, don't worry though, I have now Improved how I enhance the bass on songs, and kind of actually properly know what I'm doing now

Yeah, some of their albums like Load, Reload and St Anger weren't that good. Death Magnetic wasn't too bad, the only thing that could have been better was the mixing, then it would have been Metallica's best album in a while. After that there was Hardwired and now 72 seasons, those ones aren't to bad, but not their best either
The man that mixed the album quit twice he had to be begged come back by somebody, other than the bandmembers, because there was no bass in it, but he didn’t wanna have no part of it. It’s a cool story he says Lars walks up to him and says we did with patient there, right. It’s a great story look up the guy who did the mixing. He has a great story about it. Great album disgusting without the bass so I don’t fucking get it. Therefore Metallica gets a big fat fucking zero.
