Stop criticizing police who tried multiple ways to capture the animal in the dark before ramming it with the vehicle. It was charging at pedestrians, human public safety is more important than animal welfare.
The RSPCA should have been advising the police - who obviously had no clue on want to do and If they had got a local farmer with a trailer & a 5bar gate the cow would have been caught in half an hour. We do it all the time in open country .....far more difficult to do.
