Stephan A. Smith had a problem with McAfee from day one. McAfee's ESPN deal, 5 year contract $85 million (2023) compared to Smith's 5 year $60 million (2019). Smith is looking for a hefty increase in 2024. Will he reclaim highest paid spot? Does he deserve it?
Keep in mind Smith has other income from outside ESPN but I doubt any are as close to McAfee's 4 year $120 million deal with Fanduel and Pat has other deals. As Stephen said it's all about the money. I would argue it's all about the ratings.
