- Different truck hobbyists will stretch a toy model to look like a real one. Not uncommon to see the toys tricked out with over sized sleepers, chrome and all sorts of accessories. My favorite thing to do is make end dump grain trucks which used to be very common but have given way to semis. Visit www.rockinhfarmtoys.com
Yes it would. I use spray cans but I know other builders that use air brush with success. On resin or plastic products I use Krylon plastic primer paint, then my preferred color. Thanks for posting your question.
Thanks thats helped alot, you seem to be very experienced in this and I'm happy to learn from the best !
I have not repainted any DCP trucks (like the cabs in the video), to get those looking like they do from the factory is near impossible. That said, I will repaint other brands of trucks. I have used Krylon, Testors, and TruColor with success. One tip, spend money on paint, it is worth it. Thanks for the question.
You are welcome, glad to help.
DeereFarmer09, the process would be much the same. Easier IMO. Cut out all the metal between the frame rails first. The frame rails will be pretty thin when you are done. Cut and stretch like a DCP when step one is complete. Rectangle tube works well as it slips right over the frame rails with ease. Let me know you get along.
I like the videos I have liked and subscribed to see more videos
