WOW! Your channel has really grown. I've been with ya since the beginning. Unfortunately, for the past couple of years I haven't been active to your channel or CZcams due to the pandemic and life in general. I've missed a lot! It's really good to see how much your channel has grown. Keep up the great work. Hope all is well with you all and wishing you all a happy holiday.
Hey hey, nice to see you back :) Things are very well, and I've been fortunate to be able to keep going thanks to a supportive community!
Watched the original but still came back for the update. I think I found this even more helpful with good examples throughout. One of my new favourite games. Thank you for your professionalism in correcting the error.
Thanks for the kind word - will try, as ever, to avoid mistakes in the first place!
I appreciate you showing the open pages for 3 and 4 players, so we can pause and read it ourselves. This game looks intriguing.
Glad you enjoyed checking it out!
This was a great help, just played last night for the first time~
Hope you enjoyed!
This looks like great two-player game like Landlock, which we've enjoyed playing in the past.
Cool game! I have to show Therese this one to see if she would like it. I think she would. It reminds me a little bit of Carcasonne. I like the advanced rules with mountains, corals and caravans.
Yes, I like how it gives you a few different options for difficulty based on your interest.
Thanks for the teach! Just got this one in the mail today :)
Hey hey, hope you have fun!
This looks fun! Added to my wishlist.
I'm pretty new to boardgames and your videos I find help me make a decision if I'm going to buy.
That's really nice to hear, as that's our hope!
Great video! The game looks like a terrific game to play with my spouse.
If you can agree on who is Land and who is Sea - let the battle begin!
Thank you for your amazing explanation
Very glad you liked it Benny!
So early land and sea hadn’t been divided
Hey there Rodney! Another great video... also, perfect "no flinch" box flip there at the beginning!
So I had a quick question about the waypoint token, (I might've missed it). Other than scoring one point if it's on completed land or sea, or surrounded by 6... does it have another purpose?
You've got the idea - that's what they are for. The rules state it like this: "Waypoints act like bonus points you can place and later score yourself, or use to entice other players to help you complete areas. Waypoints are recommended in 3 and 4 player games, but can be used in 2 player games too."
This game looks pretty nice. I'll check if I ever find it to play with my brother. I've got a few games already that I'm planning to get on August. Will definitely need some extra room to store them.
Doesn't take long for a collection to grow!
This game is pretty hard to get ahold of, but it looks great. :) I like how there are ways to add complexity and the details in the pictures!
Hopefully it'll be back in print soon!
Barnes and Noble has it on their website.
@@ferrisulf Thank you!
Just wanted to be clear when playing four player does each sand and sea player hold their own set of 2 tiles or do the teams just work on two tiles together. Love the videos you present have been watching them for some time now.
Hi Robert, I didn't cover the 4 player rules, so I can't help you there unfortunately.
Thanks for the informative video. My husband and I are playing for the first time and we have a question we can't find in the directions or your video. If I play a card with a steal, do I have to steal? Or can I replenish my pile from the stack if I like a card better from the stack?
Both Steal and Play Again tiles are not optional. Hope that helps!
Thanks Rodney! Just picked this one up so I’ll just send her this video for the rules. Totally unrelated, do we get Frank Castle in the MCU?
Here's hoping! Since Daredevil and Jessica Jones are officially, and Frank was a part of the Daredevil storyline, I have to assume so.
New camera angles 👌
Hope you liked them :)
May I ask if the waypoint rules were confirmed with the creators/designers? Seems that the rules only state in a tile with open edge, they don't specify if the open edge needs to be the same as the waypoint(land/sea).
Could you confirm?
The publisher checked over the video before it released, so I'm as confident as I can be. It's not unusual for our videos to include details not found in the rule book, as we often ask for clarifications.
Thank you. I appreciate the response. This was something that was confusing me. I like to follow the rules as they should be.
Keep up the great job! You guys are killing it, and helped me A LOT throughout the years, understanding some complicated rules and choosing new games to play. 😁
Hi... Were playing this game for the first time. We're a bit stuck. We already used the whirlpool/volcano card.
We now have completed another closed waterway, with a hole in the middle - where another whirlpool card could be added, but obviously can't, because it was already used.
So our ? Is, does this count as a completed waterway --- even though there's a whirlpool missing in the middle?
Thanks
Hi Mike, this should help: czcams.com/video/SKlAY_lRTHk/video.html
We watched the video and my wife says no score if the hole is empty because the water it not complete. We still are having this debate. I keep telling her the perimeter is complete, you just don't get the extra points for filling in the hole. So is it a score?
TIA
@@mgiovannucci Hi Mike, I'm confident that the water area with a hole in the middle is not considered complete (I understand what you are saying about the perimeter, but there is still a piece missing that would "complete" that area of water). I have asked the publisher though, and I'll let you know as soon as I hear back.
@@mgiovannucci Just got formal confirmation, the example that came up in your game play is not a "complete" water group. Hope that helps!
I have Deja vu (just kidding)
Me too, me too!
