"What On Earth Is Going On With Our Country" | Isabel Oakeshott BLASTS Nottingham Killer

  • Jeremy Kyle and Isabel Oakeshott discuss the use of mental health as an excuse for heinous crimes.
    Jeremy expressed concern that the perpetrator of a recent murder in Nottingham will be sent to a high-security mental health facility for life, which he believes sends the wrong message to the public.
    Isabel agreed that mental health should be taken into account, but also acknowledged the need to hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.
    The families of the victims of the Nottingham attacks have said they “face their own life sentence” of ensuring Valdo Calocane “is never released” after the Court of Appeal ruled his sentence was not “unduly lenient”.
    The relatives of Barnaby Webber, Grace O’Malley-Kumar and Ian Coates reiterated their calls for a public inquiry into the attacks in Nottingham last June, with the mother of Mr Webber claiming that Calocane should become “the next Ian Brady and Fred West” by never being released from custody.

      @normankennith7919 Před měsícem +12

      i wonder what the decision would have been if the black murderer had stabbed sunak or starmer or the son or daughter of a judge, whether the verdict would have been the same?
      what would have happened if a policeman shot the killer at the scene? would he have been arrested for killing a mentally unwell man?
      colour shouldn't be an issue but lucy letby was essentially slung into a prison & the key thrown away! maybe because she was a white female?

    • @cherryseptember8697
      @cherryseptember8697 Před měsícem

      @@normankennith7919 Looking carefully at the facts of the case, it really does look as if Lucy Letby was made a scapegoat for serious failings at the NHS Hospital. It looks like evidence was discarded if it didn't point to Lucy Letby and she was set up by the police, senior staff and management. It was easier for the management to put all the blame for the excess baby deaths on one young nurse gone rogue rather than face an in depth inquiry into the workings of the special baby unit and for senior staff to be found wanting.. For example, around the time of the baby deaths, raw sewage was known to leak from the sewage pipes above the cribs onto the floor and equipment. That's just an example of how the unit was unfit for purpose but this was not investigated because with the conviction of Lucy Letby, it was deemed there was no need for an in-depth inquiry.

      @@normankennith7919your actually suggesting that he got a more lenient sentence as a black male? Please refer to ‘Racial Bias & the Bench’ report. Let’s see the sentencing for the recent sword attacker in Hainault - the reporting of this crime was glaring in its disparity…a white perpetrator killing a black child and injuring several others but yet the papers sought to ‘humanise’ him while referring to the victim as ‘sword lad’…utterly disrespectful to the boys family…no point stating that colour ‘shouldn’t matter’…it does and the evidence of that is there in plain sight for all to see…

Facts show he attacked 3 white people but race never mentioned. If it was the other way around it would have been all over the news as a race attack. I’m not trying to stir things up just pointing out clear facts and the double standards on how our media report. Also how can ‘experts’ determine his state of mind when he carried out these attacks? They wet not there standing next to him. It’s only because he’s using the mental health card and he’s playing the system and these judges are allowing it. 90% of those that commit crime and end up in a mental institution are released within 10 years and deemed not a threat anymore.

    Last Saturday at London's St Mary's Hospital, there were at least 4 schizophrenic patients in the A&E Majors ward screaming, locking themselves in the loos (consisting of 2 single toilet loos to serve hundreds of waiting patients & family & ambulance staff).
    They were kicking doors, fighting & arguing with security & medical staff. There was no segregation of these people from the regular population of patients & family.
    People were using chairs & walking sticks as means of blocking defense should one of these people get directly violent with them.
    We left after already being there 8 hours, and then told that it would be another 8-10 hours before there'd be a doctor available.
    This for an 85 yr old lady with acute pain and breathing difficulties.
    After ringing 111, this is where she was sent. To a hospital with a 20hour plus waiting time for the possibility of seeing a doctor.
    There were often more police and security personnel than nurses and doctors because there were so many mental patients and others with police escorts...prisoners? injured criminals who'd just been detained or arrested?...who knows!

    A man who murdered a 28 year old woman and her two toddlers, by setting fire to their house, has just had his sentence reduced from 44 years to 38 years. The appeal judges deemed that the original sentence was excessive compared to previous sentencing for similar crimes. I.E. if one judge is lenient, every judge on subsequent similar cases should be lenient too. It's staggering. He murdered three people (two of whom were babies). How can any prison sentence be deemed excessive? What are these judges ruddy on?

    If he's banged up for life it makes little difference whether he's imprisoned in a secure hospital or a regular prison., except if he's in a regular prison and not receiving psychiatric treatment he may well kill another inmate or prison officer. I don't recall any great fuss about Ian Brady not being in a regular prison. Also, the minimum sentence for a man found guilty of murdering his neighbour and children in Nottingham by arson had his minimum sentence reduced from 44 to 38 years but you won't mention that because he is a white guy.

    The effects of the murders are Nottingham wide reaching… My daughter was at university in Nottingham at the time and was absolutely devastated to have her house raided, because two of the murders took place at the end of her road. The two students involved were known to other people in my village. All of our student children were totally and utterly traumatised by their limited experiences … it could have beeen any one of them … My daughter hasn’t enjoyed her time in Nottingham since. My heart goes out to the three families concerned who lost their dearest loved ones, bur l et’s not forget the devastating effect that murder has on the local communities as well as those people directly involved. This man was clearly unwell and really shouldn’t have been out on the streets… When are we going to have an effective detaining system for those people who cannot cope with the real world?

      He shouldn't have been in the UK in the first place. He should have been gone when his visa expired. Sick of people making excuses that he was 'unwell'. How many more of these unwanted dangerous migrants have committed heinous acts, murders in Bournemouth, Reading etc, stabbings, rapes in many towns in the UK, drug crimes, theft, sexual assaults, etc etc? And in and on it goes and all people do is light candles, hold vigils and sing 'don't look back in anger'. Naivety, apathy, and not accepting the truth because of woke indoctrination, is our complete downfall. Sorry to say its only gonna get a lot worse if we sit back and do nothing..

    On its website, Broadmoor states that it aims to treat its patients within 5-6 years. After successful treatment, he will be released.

    Theres a strange pattern in this type of crime. It's as though some group or organisation are behind it.

    collapsing NHS, people are not getting the support they clearly need, as they say, you only have to look in the mirror to see who is to blame

    I thought you couldn’t claim Mental Health as a ‘thing’ now. Sunak wants to deny any Brits benefits to people with Mental Health. The majority of UK people can’t get help with Mental Health problems in reality.
